It had been a busy morning of training and preparing at the Trainer's camp. another beautiful day in Hoenn, and Rosie had been up bright and early to go out and do training with her Ponyta and Pikachu since she had promised them.
It was late afternoon by the time she returned to camp with lunch, giving her team a break. Even after she got them sometime to eat, and had a little something herself, the blond trainer stood and stretched her arms out, putting her hands on her hips and looking around the camp at anyone else who might have been there at the time. Her friends, and team mates.
"Would anyone like to go out with me and my pokemon later? I think we'll be ready for some practice battles, what do you guys think?" she said this last part to her pokemon, who cooed and whinnied in agreement.

Guy looked upwards from his sketchbook as Miss Rosie called out to the camp with an offer for some late-afternoon training. He wanted to sketch for a little bit longer, but he wasn't drawing anything important, anyway: just some stupid little doodles. Besides that, both he and his Pokemon could do well with a little workout, particularly Leucetius. Guy hadn't worked with the Electric-type much since he caught him back in Kodo, partially due to the fact that the Jolteon was insane, so perhaps a workout would be just the thing Leuc needed. Worth a shot, either way.
That decided, Guy closed his sketchbook and picked up his sheathed sword, standing as he did so. "I'd like to go, if you wouldn't mind, Miss Rosie." Tying the sword and scabbard to his belt, Guy stretched his arms, then called for Anonymes, who hastened to his master's side without hesitation. After retrieving both Oki's and Leucetius' Pokeballs, Guy and Anon made their way over to Miss Rosie.
Anon, ever his master's shadow, floated happily alongside his beloved master, his eyes smiling as he did so. They were going to go train now! How terrifically exciting! Anonymes loved to practice and train with Master. Master was always so kind and patient, even when Anon messed up. He knew he did that a lot, so that was even better that Master always helped him. Anon loved to train with Miss Rosie as well. Miss Rosie was just as wonderful as his master was, as well as all of Miss Rosie's Pokemon. What an enjoyable time this would be!

Rosie spun where she stood when she got a reply, the half skirt fanning out, before fluttering back down around her hips. slipping her arms behind her back as one foot slid in front of the others, and a gentle smile crossed her lips when her new friend Guy agreed to join them.
"I wouldn't mind at all. I could use a challenge!" She lifted a hand up. "I'm going to let them take a break for a bit longer though, you should have seen how hard they worked this morning."
Rosie seemed ready to go though, not something that was too unusual for the young women, she seemed to have a surprising amount of stamina.

Guy couldn't help but give a small chuckle as Miss Rosie spun on the spot. Her enthusiasm truly was boundless, and it did prove to cheer Guy up when he saw just how elated she was when he agreed. "That's find, I don't mind waiting," he said, patting Anonymes on the head, much to the Lampent's delight. "Yeah, you seem to have been training your Pokemon a lot more lately, too, especially since the weather has been this nice." He had read before that Hoenn was a tropical region, but the climate really was quite pleasant.
"Honestly, I should be training my Pokemon a lot more than I have been," Guy confessed. "I've more been training myself more than anything else. I've been working on perfecting my form with my sword." As he spoke, he rested his hands on his sword's hilt. At least that practice was going along well. Recently he had been practicing the basics and working on his technique. It was strenuous work, but Guy knew how much it paid off in the end.
Anon, much like Miss Rosie, was already fired up and raring to go, and all of this standing around was making him fidgety. Why couldn't they go right now? He wanted to go and train so badly! Anon knew that the others had to rest a little while... But Anon had been resting all day! He needed to work and become stronger, just like his master! Master was always practicing and improving himself, and so Anon had to do the same! He simply had to.

"They've all been working really hard, and I'm so proud of them." she said, with a glance over to her pokemon who were enjoying their lunch. "And I'm starting to notice the progress they're making" she gave a small laugh at this and looked back over to Guy as he walked over "So I think I'm doing something right~"
When he brought up his sword fighting she glanced at the weapon that he always had with him, and tilted his head. "I've seen you practicing with Luke a lot, you're both very good." She tilted her head softly, blinking as she remembered back at the contest... when Guy had used his sword in defense.

Guy laughed lightheartedly at Rosie's comments on her training of her Pokemon. "Oh, I doubt you have to worry too much about that. You're already a really good trainer, so the fact that you're practicing and improving makes it that much better." Guy recalled back to the first time he really talked with Rosie back in Kodo when they held their first battle. Anonymes was still a Litwick back then... How long ago it seemed now. It felt like he had been in Kodo forever.
The mention of his practicing with Luke brought Guy back to reality, and he absently rubbed the back of his neck with one gloved hand. "Yeah, well, just like with Pokemon, sword-fighting takes a lot of practice and patience. We've both been working on it for years, and there are still things that neither of us know. It's a bit of a pain, but it's all worth it." He chuckled to himself and folded his arms. "Maybe he or I could teach you some stuff with the sword sometime."

Her head turned down a little, with a grateful blush when he commented on her being a good trainer, touched by the kind words. "Thank you, Guy" she said with a soft smile. before looking back up at him without the shyness.
"I can imagine, You guys make it look so easy though." All those times she watched them practice, it was so interesting, it was like some strong, elegant dance. When he offered to teach her some, she paused, eyebrows arching as she blinked a couple of times. Though she didn't look like she was against the idea. "I would be terrible at it." she giggled. "I'm a dancer, I've never used a sword before."

"Well, believe me, it can get really hard sometimes," Guy said, smiling. "I can't tell you how many times I've gotten sore shoulders and knees." Saying this, he rolled and stretched his shoulders jokingly. "But it's all just practice. I'm sure it can be tough for you with your dancing, yeah?"
"And really, learning the sword isn't so different from dancing," he added knowingly. "There are foot movements and steps and stances involved, and there are different arm positions for the techniques. There's certainly a lot of spinning, too. Spins and flips and jumps and whatnot." Guy chuckled. Of course, the flips were more advanced techniques, but he had confidence that, with a little work, Rosie might be able to pull it off.
"You could try it, at the very least. I might be able to show you some basic things. You can practice with Anon, even! I've been working with him for a little while, and I think he'd like the company."
At the mention of his name, Anonymes perked up and floated happily over to Miss Rosie. He would love to train with Miss Rosie! If she got really good with the sword like Master, she and Anon could team up and fight bad guys with their combined forces and defend all things good! Yeah! That'd be the best thing ever! Anonymes hugged Miss Rosie happily.

She understood just what he was talking about, how hard practice was sometimes, how the pain could build up, but it would lead way to progress... and that feeling alone was so wonderful. He made it sound like Sword fighting wasn't something that could be that alien if you practiced.
She did have to pause though at the offer, still listening to her friend Guy explaining that he could help teach her, along with his pokemon, Anon, the sweet ghost. Rosie couldn't help but remember what Sword work means really... they were weapons, they were made for self defense, for fighting. She had seen it first hand what a tool like that did to another human being. She certainly didn't plan on getting into any fights with anyone... but it seemed to happen anyway. Maybe the idea of using a weapon just made her nervous... she didn't want to have the ability to hurt another person, even if she didn't intend to use that skill.
she felt the warmth of a hug, and turned her head to see Anonymes being his usual adorable self. This helped the girl smile, as she reached a hand up to touch the ghost type. "What do you think Anon? you want me to practice with you? think I would make a good practice buddy?"

Anonymes seemed to glow as Miss Rosie accepted his affectionate hug. When she asked him his own opinion on the matter of training, Anon blinked his golden eyes and nodded his head vigorously. ["Oh yes, oh yes! I would love, love, love it if you would train with me, Miss Rosie! You would do so well, I bet! Please, please, please!"] The fact that Miss Rosie could not understand his speech going right over his head, Anon hugged Miss Rosie even tighter, a look of delight upon his face.
Guy sighed lightly at his Lampent's antics. Anon's certain little... eccentricities did make him difficult to be around on tiring days, but if Miss Rosie did not mind, he wouldn't deny Anon his happiness. He really was an emotional little Pokemon. And it seemed to be that Anon greatly approved of Miss Rosie's participation - no surprises there. Guy chuckled at his Pokemon's obvious enthusiasm and turned back to Miss Rosie.
"Well, if i could hazard a guess, I would think that he wouldn't exactly be opposed to it,' he said jokingly. "Of course, it's your choice if you want to or not. Just let me know anytime. I'd be happy to help you anytime." Exhaling, Guy stretched out his arms. "Should we head out soon, do you think? Or do your Pokemon still need to rest some more?"
