I n the Shopping district in between two other ramen shops sits the greatest ramen shop to ever grace the world as any citizen of Kumogakure can tell you, or even people who have visited. This magical place is known as Denkou Ramen Shop. The shop boasts a simple outside that seems like an average ramen shop, but once you go past the hanging banner and peer inside, your eyes see the true majesty of the place. The place seems much larger on the inside, with booths lining the walls, tables around a fire pit that occasionally the employees will use to roast pork and beef during festivals giving out the best spit meat anyone can find within the village. The walls are decorated with intricate symbols, and the occasional ninja item from the owners' past as ninja,and even some Raikage memorobelia. Even though the space cleared for the newest Raikage is bare, you wouldn't know until you specifically looked for it. The bar close to where they make the ramen is intricately designed, with the kanji for lightning (Rai) as a wooden inlay of the finest mahogany. The stools are much the same, and even pivot, showing the ingenuity of the Kumogakure citizens. As you sit at the bar, You begin to notice that the back of the building is raised by about four or five feet, all of the appliances used to cook the ramen are larger than one would commonly see as well, bordering on the insane. The smells that assail your nostrils are of pure delight as you smell the freshly cooked pork and beef, the always fresh broth, the noodles boiling, and the sweet sweet smell of sake at the bar.
The owners are in turn just as unique as the ramen shop itself. The male proprietor is a behemoth of a man, standing roughly at eight feet, the man is about five feet broad. He has dark brown hair, and his voice is booming and full of authority, yet kind enough that people don't lose control of their bowels when he speaks. The sheer fact he manages to fit through a doorway still eludes most of Kumogakure. His wife as it seems, is the fastest cook villagers will ever meet, or at least see in action. Her hair is stark white, and she has intense eyes, like one would expect from an ex-ANBU. The woman is average size, and seems to have a nice kind voice, although her husband shivers slightly when she speaks. The two are kind to their customers, and are generous with the portions that they give out with each bowl. They both seem to have their own unique style of ninjutsu, all of it seemingly ramen, or maybe just food related.
((The Ramen Shop is also one of the main suppliers of Kumogakure's prized Tea which does not grow anywhere else.))

Laxus sat once again at the bar, looking at the behemoth who walked up to him.
" You're not here for the old man again, are you? " The man said, a knife appearing in his hand. The huge man was agile, far beyond what Laxus was capable of at the moment. " I'll throw you out if you are. " He said, popping his knuckles.
" No, I'm here for myself right now. Could I get a bowl of Ramen? " Laxus asked, again looking at the intricate designs on the bar he was sitting at. Laxus laid his head down, rolling a few coins he had found on the ground to the other side of the bar where they remained standing. " Pork and beef please, no fish. " Laxus said, nestling his head into his elbow. Laxus closed his eyes and let his mind wander, listening to the hustle and bustle of the ramen shop, and raising his head slowly as he heard the bowl clink in front of him, the black chopsticks laying over the top of the bowl. " Thank you very much. " Laxus said, bowing lightly to the man.
" No problem. " The man said, turning and spinning more noodles. " You're welcome. " Said the woman. The two smiled at each other as they went about their business leaving Laxus to eat.
Laxus began to nurse on his ramen, smiling genuinely as the flavor washed over him. This was truly the best ramen her had ever tasted. Laxus thought of it as the best ramen in the entire world. The noodles were soft beyond comparison. Could it have something to do with the bread used to make the noodles couldn't rise and harden, making the noodles plump and soft like dumplings, yet firm and solid like they should be. The flavor of the beef and pork complemented each other, the salty beef flavor heightening the sweet pork taste. The broth heated everything to a perfect temperature, warm to the touch, but cool to the throat. Laxus was enjoying this immensely. " That is some of the greatest ramen I've ever tasted. " Laxus said as he finished off the broth. He thought he had said that the time before, but he just thought he'd restate it.

Laxus stood up, smiling and bobbing his head at the proprietors of the shop. " Thanks guys, I'll be back some time soon. You can count on it. " He said smiling, waving goodbye as he walked out of the shop.
Laxus looked around outside the shop and thought about where he should go next. " The Gates seem like a good idea. Seeing the outside of this village seems like a good idea. " Laxus said, sighing and stretching as he headed toward the gates of Kumogakure. He wouldn't leave, he'd been informed he wasn't allowed to unless he was accompanied by a higher ranking shinobi, or if he was given express permission from the Raikage. Laxus sighed, touching his head slightly. He clenched his fingers around the bridge of his nose, then shook his head. " I need some medicine here before too long. " He said, turning to go to the gates. His hand twitching slightly, a bit of electricity running across it, along with... bits of metal dust?

Nagisa strolled calmly into the Ramen shop rubbing her wrist. That girl sure had a grip. There weren't many customers, but the evening rush would be hitting very soon. As she approached the counter the hulking mass that was the owner turned to greet her politely. As she sat down Nagisa said simple "Good evening. I'll be having my usual. Whatever the kids want too, within reason." She and the owner didn't talk much, they simply didn't have much to talk about. He knew what she liked to eat, and she knew he liked her business but that was it. She waited for her two guests to seat as the man started some noodles.

→Kensei walked calmly to the ramen shop and took a seat across from Nagisa. "It's been a while since I ate here. I wonder if the food is still good." He looked at the menu even though he already knew what he wanted to order. "Yeah just give me the beef ramen." It dawned on him that Nagisa called him a kid only a few seconds later. "Hey last time I checked we're the same age. I'm probably a couple of months older than you."

Nagisa smiled as she turned to Kensei. "Indeed, I can't say I'm older than you I can see your hair graying as we speak." It was a sign of the stresses that Nagisa felt well over her real age. As she let her gaurd down, only a little, she heard her other guest fail to mount her chair. "You know, I bet if you fall on your face enough times you'll either learn some balance or slow down." It was of course a tease. She placed her finger on her chin and mocked a thoughtful pose before saying "Well maybe not. It shall become widely known, the terror of Sora Hikari, she who walks on her face." she extended her hand to help the girl up as if to apologize if her teases cut too deep. Of course it could be nice if she would try and learn some balance. It worried Nagisa both as leader and friend the situations the girl could get into simply because neither her feet or body was considerate enough to let the other know what was going on.

→"My hair? It was always like this. I just dye it black from time to time." As soon as he finished talking he heard Sora fall off of her seat and holding her head because of the after math. Kensei let out a sigh. So her parents deal with this all the time? No wonder they weren't worried that much at the hospital.

"I probably will become known as 'she who walks on her face,'" Sora pouted thoughtfully as she accepted Nagisa's hand and pulled herself up with her friend's help, "I've already tried both slowing down and learning some balance." The pout, just like most of her pouts, didn't last long, though. In fact, after she finished dusting herself off, Sora was back to smiling as always. She took a step to pick up the chair that had fallen.
Then, despite the slower pace she was taking, Sora proved her own words. Her legs tripped each other and the girl fell forwards. However, this time she was lucky enough to be able to catch herself against the table (even more amazing, the table didn't flip over for once when Sora fell on it). The girl muttered, "That was close," as she pushed herself back straight. Then, remembering what she had said moments ago and realizing that what she had just done proved those words, Sora pointed to table and proclaimed with a confident smile despite having nearly fallen flat on her face, "See? That's what I mean." The smile could easily be seen as absurd, but it was well deserved in Sora's opinion. She had just found convenient proof for what she had just said. In Sora's always optimistic opinion, that definitely deserved a smile.

Nagisa held the table steady as the clumsy girl got herself situated. Kensei had misunderstood her tease. She sat awkwardly for a moment before the mousy (compared to the owner) wife began serving their food, reminding the table that if anyone needed anything they knew who to call.Nagisa began eating the delicious ramen, which was lacking in any unusual quirky extras. Nagisa preferred to let the cooks decide how best the meal should be served, and asking for extra ingredients seemed a little rude. With it she had a cup of the lightning country's distinct tea, which had become somewhat expensive during the "off" season.

→Kensei's mouth started to water when the owner's wife brought them the food. As soon as she put the plate down he began eating it as fast as he could. By the looks of it, it would appear as if the man hadn't eaten in days. "Man this is good." He said with his mouth full. He realized later that he looked like a savage by the way he was eating and quickly swallowed his food. "Sorry. It's been a while since I had this ramen." He said while sitting up straight and eating normally.

Nagisa ate her food silently, cursing her lack of manners when Sora shouted itadakimasu. Since she tended to eat alone she usually forgot that particular courtesy. Since the other two were engaged in conversation, NAgisa felt comfortable remaining silent, merely listening to the two argue about their eagerness to eat. It made little sense to rush simply because the food tasted good, considering the taste lasted longer if you took the time to enjoy it. she did just that, as best as she could. The noodles tasted good, and the soup was okay but that was it. It was as if something was corrupting the taste. Even her expensive tea wasn't right. Being with friends was calming and pleasant, but only just.
