This forest gives of a magical feeling to whoever is in it. There is a lot of trees, which are all tall. Many of the older trees are so tall that when you glance up instead of trees tops being seen, you see clouds. Most however only reach around fifteen feet tall, as a large portion of the forest was replanted only a few tears ago. People come here to train with a friend or by themselves, or to simply relax a bit.

Laxus walked slowly into the forest. It was a nice one, these trees were actually natural to grow at such a high height, one of the benefits of the village not being obscenely high up, it was just on the good side of the timber line. Laxus smiled with glee as he walked into the forest, looking behind himself. He could hear small groups of people talking and playing within. He'd need to lose them. Now Laxus wasn't exceedingly fast by any means, but he was however fairly quick in his own rights. Getting deeper into the forest fast wasn't that hard. The hard part was attempting to leave no trace, but still be able to find his way back. He decided he'd just leave a cut on every twentieth tree, an easily noticed tactic, but the tracker would have to find at least three with the same sequence on it to discover the pattern.
Laxus went deeper and deeper into the forest until he could no longer hear the voices of humans, and only the breeze catching the hidden leaves. " Now this is a good place to practice. " He said lowly. He wasn't in a clearing, and the trees were slightly close together, but far enough apart, that with a quick glance through the scroll, he discovered that none of the jutsu would really bother the trees around him.
" Okay, first on the agenda... Earth Military movement? " Laxus said, skimming the jutsu, taking extreme notice of the description, and the hand signs. " Okay... Earth Style Military movement. " He said, focusing his chakra into the ground, and feeling himself slowly sinking into it. He shuddered slightly, it felt rough and dirty on his clothes, he'd noticeably be covered in dirt from the feel of it. He thought of the dirt enveloping him, of sliding slowly through the earth as if it were water. Upon opening his eyes, he met a stinging sensation. He instantly "jumped" to the side, and popped out on the other side of a tree from where he had placed the scroll. He had traveled an obscene distance, just by seeming to take a step away. He'd have to practice that technique more, but for the most part he understood it's mechanics. " Holy heavens this hurts... " He said, rubbing his eyes, then taking out a canteen and pouring water on his eyes he blinked rapidly, removing the dirt from his eyes. " Okay, so I now know not to open my eyes while under the ground, I'll have to figure out another technique to know where everything is while I'm below ground, I don't want to shift myself about blindly. " He muttered, walking back to the scroll and peering at it. " One down, seven more to go. " He said smiling.

Laxus looked at the next jutsu on his list and smiled. " Good, this one says it is a tad more powerful than the others that I know. Oh, but it is a mite slower than it's other variants. " Laxus said, his smile subsiding. " Oh well, It never hurts to have a tanking clone. " Laxus said laughing. Laxus went over the jutsu carefully this time, he didn't want the clone blowing up in his face or something, lest his eyes get covered in dirt again. " Earth Clone technique. " Laxus said, focusing his chakra into the ground, he felt the chakra flow slowly to the left, and began to mold and shape it, upwards at first, making a blob appear to raise from the ground. Then arms and legs were seen forming as if a person was crouching and grasping their knees to their chest. Slowly a bald head was formed, and a torso made. Then the abdomen, and slowly the dirt doll rose into a standing position, flakes falling off and details being created. Then once the body's details were created, it tapped it's head a couple of times, the head cracking and then flaking off, revealing a face underneath. The eyes looked from side to side as it scrapped the bits of hard earth from it's head. Then it smiled and dusted itself off, color appearing as it did so. After a few moments, an exact replica of Laxus was created, in perfect pristine condition. It had the skin tone, the clothing, even the wound mark on it's back from where the Kunai poked Laxus earlier. Laxussmiled with glee. " Good to see that I can utilize a child's technique with such ease, hit yourself. " Laxus told the clone. He wanted to see it's abilities at taking damage.
The clone sighed, it's voice sounded kinda gravelly compared to the real Laxus' perhaps the lungs were made of gravel? It hit itself in the face, cracks easily noticeable, however they quickly flaked off, and molded together making a spiderweb that slowly shrunk into nothingness. " Anything else I can do for you? " The clone said, it's voice still insanely gravelly.
" No, no, I'll just have you on standby, I might need you later. " Laxus said laughing, looking back to the scroll with interest. If the Doton techniques could produce this, what would his bloodline have in store for him? He knew dirt was no where near as strong as the metal he used, so he couldn't wait for the clones he could make with the metal. The fact that they'd be slower however saddened him. He honestly wondered if they'd be mobile at all.

" Dust clone technique... " Laxus said, smiling as he read through it. " So it is basically your generic clone technique? Why the heck would I learn this after you? Maybe because dust is a finer object to be making a clone out of? " Laxus said aloud, pointing to his earth clone absent minded. His clone's face went to one of slight annoyance, he didn't organize the jutsu list, why was the real Laxus bothering him about it. " Oh, wow, It isn't even a useful fighter, it is literally a suicide attacker. Wow, Other shinobi were ruthless. But then again, you are just a wad of dirt formed with my own chakra. " Laxus said, smiling as he set the scroll down. " Dust Clone technique. " He said, focusing on the dirt on his body. He smiled as he felt the dirt leave his clothing down to the last tiny bit, and form into a bubble directly to his right. The bubble began to contort and morph, slowly at first, then a hand was visible on the inside pushing outward. Suddenly in a poof of dust, a clone of Laxus landed on the ground, and stood up smiling. Laxus looked at it, it looked just as good as any other clone of himself would be, aside from the inevitable fact it was a jutsu meant to die. " You, go attack the other clone. " Laxus said, pointing to the earth clone behind him.
The Dust clone jumped at the earth clone who merely let the dust clone bump into him and disperse all over his chest where the flying kick connected. Waving it's hand back and forth lightly it showed that it had survived the impact amazingly well, without even taking any damage. " Please refrain from doing that, it is still annoying. " It said sighing.
" Oh don't worry, I've just started playing with this. I've got some more jutsu to learn. Don't Worry, I've got a plan for you. " Laxus said smiling as his eyes flicked to the last jutsu on the scroll.

Laxus looked at the next technique on the list and sighed. " Crap, this one isn't very well described. " He said sighing. It was literally just manipulation a rock to fly through the air like a projectile. He looked to the ground noticing a single small rock. " Good, I don't have to hunt for one. " Laxus said placing the scroll at his feet he made several hand signs and smiled, focusing on the rock and launching it through the air with ease, frowning as it hit a tree and just fell. " So it doesn't even sharpen the rock while it is flying... " He said sighing. Oh well, I can probably find another technique like it. " Laxus said, his smile returning.

" Onto Rock shield. " Laxus said, looking at the scroll once more. ' I've still got three more techniques after this one... " Laxus said sighing and looking at his clone out of the corner of his eye. The thing was just leaning against the tree, nonchalant. Laxus smirked at what he thought was going to happen to the clone once his training little training session was over.
Laxus once again sat the scroll on the floor and made several hand signs. " Rock Shield. " He said, focusing chakra into the ground in front of him. The ground shook slightly as a wall five feet by five feet rose from the ground. It was only three inches thick, but it was a good enough wall to stop nearly anything he'd have to deal with for a while. " Says here that I can increase it's size and strength. " Laxus said, smiling slightly. " Too bad I don't need to right now, I'll play more with this later, for now I'll just leave it at this. " He said, smiling and patting the wall. It held up against his touch. Laxus kicked the wall, and smiled. It held up amazingly well to his attack. " I wonder just how strong this is... " Laxus said, looking at the scroll. " It doesn't say... " He said, sighing. The incompetence of whoever was the one who wrote this scroll gave him a headache. " So I'm supposed to believe that this technique wasn't tested thoroughly? " Laxus said sighing, looking at the next technique. " And a set of bracers were? " He said, hitting his head against the wall.

Laxus sighed and set the scroll on the ground, looking around and picking up chunks of dirt and rubbing them on his arms. " Okay, now all I have to do is harden them... " He said sighing, as he finished putting dirt on his shins in copious amounts. " Stone Bracer " LAxus said, focusing his chakra into the four bits of dirt. He felt them begin to harden, slightly constricting. It wasn't uncomfortable, it just wasn't too comfortable. He could tell they were there. Laxus inspected the bracers, smiling as he did so. They had turned from a dark brown to a nice light grey. They had in fact become stone. Laxus smiled as he clinked them together. " Now this is a defensive technique. " Laxus said looking at his clone. " Hey, come over here and test these. " He said, smiling as the clone walked over.
Suddenly the clone let out a yell, attacking Laxus with several kicks to various parts of the left side of his body. Laxus blocked all of these with relative ease, the clone was about as fast as a child. The clone then threw a couple of punches, and Laxus blocked these as well. " Okay, you can stop now. " Laxus said, catching the Earth clone's leg when it tried another kick. " I said stop. " Laxus said, dropping the leg. His mood had just dropped.
Laxus focused a bit, and canceled the bracers,smiling as they returned to being dirt. He shook the bits of dirt that clung to his clothing off and looked at the clone. " Stomp this back into the ground. Make it look natural. " He said, his smile returning.

Laxus smiled, quickly twisting around to face the doton clone. " Okay, this next technique is mud moat... " Laxus said, closing his eyes and slowly making the hand signs from memory. Laxus' eyes snapped open, and he redid the hand signs twice as fast. " Mud moat technique. " He said, his chakra leaving his feet and going into the surrounding area, shifting quickly and fluidly, moving the earth's pieces slowly and surely, turning it into a viscus liquid. The moat was nearly complete, all that was missing was the mud to turn to liquid to the point it wasn't pulling so much. Laxus made the chakra disperse more in the mud, making it less clumpy, making it more liquid like.
Needless to say, the clone's current job, as well as the clone fell into the mud. The clone merely turned to look at it's creator and sigh, starting to walk toward him. It knew it was going to disperse, it might as well attempt to put a fist against it's creator.

Laxus Smiled, His clone was aggravated. This was giving quite a bit of insight into his own head. ' So even if i know I'm going to die, I'll still attempt to fight if I'm angry enough? I need to fix this. ' Laxus thought to himself, looking at the next jutsu on the scroll. This one was trickier, especially since he was using it at a depth. " Bird... tiger... ox... " Laxus said, reading off the names of the handsigns as he made the entire jutsu. " Swift Earth. " Laxus said, focusing the chakra in his feet down below him, exactly three feet below. He smiled, this would hit around the clone's midriff, and it'd kill it. Just before the clone got to him, Laxus's chakra took hold and shot forward, launching a disk of earth at the clone. The exact size of Laxus' little island in the middle of his moat. Laxus jumped off of the now floating island to the side opposite the clone. Laxus smiled, keeping his eyes open the entire time.
The Clone wasn't suspecting anything, it hadn't seen the scroll, so it didn't know what was in store. The disk had slowed down considerably from the speed it should have been. But it still delivered a nice hit. Nice enough to disperse the clone, who crumbled slowly.

Laxus sighed looking around. He didn't really care about leaving the wall up, it would serve as a fairly good marker for his own personal training grounds. He did however want to mess around with some of the trees some day. Maybe turn them into an iron tree? That would be an interesting feet. It would prove his abilities, but it would be a while. He turned curtly and began to bound through the forest back to the scroll shop. Hopefully he would be able to get back there without anyone noticing. It would be a pity if someone were to discover his full abilities before he could bring it all to fruition.

Lamkai walks into the forest and wades side to side. He then sees a guy standing there. He smirked as he walked up to him and says "Hiya what ya doing." as he looked at him with a blan face.

Kensei landed in the forest and began scouting the area. He was far away enough from the village that there couldn't be any cause for alarm or damage to any of the buildings. "Yeah this spot seems good enough. Now should I go for the head on approach or stealth and pick them off one by one." Kensei asked himself outloud. He continued to look around so he could plan out the fight the best he could. "I could use these as cover, maybe even a way to maneuver around the area. I can do this. I just have to beat her up and be a jerk." it sounded easy but it wasn't something Kensei could do. He was just a nice guy until he was crossed. "Come on Kensei what would your forefather do?" Kensei sat Indian style as he tried to think. "Well he was a bigger show off than me. And he would be brutally honest with his opponents. I can do this." Kensei said as he patted both of his cheeks and took a deep breath. He changed his facial expression from his usual cocky grin to a no nonsense scowl. "Alright I'm ready." he jumped on top of a tree and hid inside the leaves as he waited for Sora and her squad to show up.

Amira was actually a little surprised to see a forest in the area. It looked as though it would be a nice and quiet place to relax before heading back to deal with people. There didn't seem to be anyone in the area, but that didn't mean Amira would let her guard down. The village was new to her since she had only arrived a mere half hour before. The fact she hadn't even introduced herself to the Kage yet was something that weighed very lightly on her mind at the moment though. It would be done sooner or later, so there was no reason to rush. Lapiz Lazuli gems scoured the area in front of her in search of some form of movement. So far there was nothing more than the rustle of trees due to wind. How boring. And here she was hoping for at least some form of entertainment within the village before she had to go about her boring new life as a mercenary for hire.

Kensei peaked out from behind the leaves a noticed a girl walking around. Is this the genin the Raikage spoke of? Kensei thought as he slowly moved his left hand to his trench knife. No something's off. Sora wouldn't just sacrifice or use a teammate as bait would she? I'd expect that idiot Laxus to come out and give away their position. Kensei continued to watch the girl carefully with his finger on his knife. He didn't want to attack yet without figuring out the others positions or if they were even there at all.
