It was nice to be home, Sylwanin had decided. She had met Kaym on her way into the pride and it made her happy to see that HE approved of the changes in her. He had always been one to point out things she was doing wrong, and when she was being a brat, he would tell her all about it. The fact that Kaym'itan not only seemed happy to see her, but had found nothing to point out as a flaw really brought home how much she had changed for the better. That aside, though, she had to face her actual family. Her brother, now king, was the best place to start, she figured. While Kersuey was the most like Sylwanin in attitude before she left, Sylwanin did not remember him as fondly now as she used to. Eytucan on the other paw, she was remembering much more fondly. She wanted to see him and see what he thought of her coming back home. She had of course been presented to him when she came home, but they had not gotten time to really talk as siblings. A king welcoming home an old pride member was much different than a brother welcoming home his sister. Sylwanin stepped up to her brother and purred at him to let him know she was there. "I See you, Brother." She grinned at him and a twinkle came to her eye. She had always been so serious before she left. "And I see many nieces and nephews for me to spoil under your paws, even if they are almost grown." She had been very pleased to see how many of them looked like their father.

Eytucan had been happy when the news of a female with markings similar to his and his brothers had found her way to the borders and had wanted to stay in their lands. He had no doubt in his mind it was his dark sister Sylwanin; whom had gone missing during the war; much like a lot of his family had. He had been busy meeting with his Warrior son; discussing tactics before but was now able to go see his sister...
Yet she seemed keen to find him first. He had barely said good by to his son Silron, when a familiar voice spoke out. He turned, a smile on his muzzle and paws out; embracing her in a hug. "Sister. I see you too... after all this time." He said softly, holding her close. "Yes... many children we have had now in our home

Sylwanin had not been expecting the hug but she returned it happily. It was nice to have her brother and be able to be with family again. "Look how old you have gotten, brother. Is that a silver whisker I see?" She grinned and pawed his muzzle affectionately. She had years worth of not being able to pick on him to make up for. "I leave and my brother is a young warrior in line to be king, I come back and he is an old king that has already named the next warrior to take his place. Am I the only one that has not gotten so old and fragile?"
Sylwanin could not help but find all kinds of things to pick on Eytucan about. Her other brother would have taken offense to such things... Eytucan always did have a sense of humor or at least tolerance of humor. She got a bit more serious for a moment though. "Have you missed me, Eytucan? Well, if you missed the brat I was, I certainly hope you will enjoy the lioness I am now a bit more. I cannot wait to here all the wonderful things you have done while I have been off on my own."

Eytucan chuckled aloud when she spoke, pulling himself away from her. "Me? OLD?" He gave her a playful shove. "Look at yourself missy... you're the same age." He said, putting a paw to his face and rubbing his whiskers flat, a bit worried about actually having a silver hair. He straightened himself a bit. "You should meet the next in line... he is a very confidant creature in fact." He said with a nod.
"Missed you? I have missed you like I have missed mother and father. You are my family.. my blood and my kin. I could never not miss you..." He said softly. "What things?! Goodness to any to count... just look around

Sylwanin chuckled and wiggled her whiskers at her brother. "Ah but none of my whiskers have turned silver from age." She winked at him and looked around at their home. "There are cubs everywhere, new blood in the pride... and many many faces missing." She sighed more at herself than anything. It was hard coming home to face those still here, it was even harder to come home and see how many were not there to face.
"A confidant creature? He sounds a bit like you... is he as stubborn and thick skulled as one of our blood? He will need it to marry one of your daughters." She chuckled and tried not to let the soft words get to her. She couldn't help it they did. She hugged her brother again and nipped his ear. "I missed you too. I stayed away so long for fear of disappointing you all... but look at all the wonderful things I have missed... like new cubs! And I heard that Ewya is lurking about somewhere as well."

Eytucan simply shook his head. "Nah, he's not stubborn at all. Eywa brought him to us when he was a child, along with his sister; to help bring new blood into the pride. Him and my daughter are betrothed, and they have spent; erm... a few precious moments together from time to time... My daughter is a bit of a spit fire and desperate to not have to grow up too quickly..." He said, looking a bit proud of his children. "I consider Pietr to be my son as well..."
He smiled. "Every time a member i recognize comes home; I feel as though the souls of the past sing out to us, in great chorus... And the only thing that would disappoint me sister is if you had never returned." He added.
"Yes... Eywa is among us again... she resides other places from time to time... but she has returned... her presence has brought great fertility and happiness to us all."

Sylwanin closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, letting her brother's words soak in. It was indeed good to be home. To be with family again was something greater that she would have imagined. "I am glad I did not disappoint you by never returning, brother... I think I will make you proud in other ways yet... I plan to go back to being a priestess if Eywa will still have me." She chuckled at her brother's obvious pride in his children. He always was one to take pride in others in the family rather than himself. He had a huge heart in that dark coat.
"I am sure they are all wonderful, so long as none of them act like I did." The dark lioness grinned at her brother. "We don't need any more snotty little twerps around the pride. I gave us all enough of that to last a life time." The fact that she could joke about it was probably the best sign that she had changed for the better and would stay that way. "I will, of course, want to see these nieces and nephews... and as far as I am concerned that includes your heir and his sister." She pulled herself up proudly, trying, but somehow failing to look as serious and full of herself as she used to. It was not the easiest thing to pull off when one didn't believe themselves to be the center of the universe.

Eytucan smiled and made a gesture with his paw. "Eywa is always happy to have those who know her and love her, become her followers. She has truly blessed us with her return. Our people have increased in number. We have had good hunting. We are building our lives again... after that horrid time..." He said looking a bit like he was recalling those things.
He chuckled. "We have a few cubs that are a bit more... um... well mischievous than others... Not quiet like you were... but... a bit of a trouble every once and a while." He chuckled. "Everyone will be delighted to meet you... perhaps even our brother will crack a smile for once... Kerusey I mean." He sort of looked a bit skeptical at that comment.

Sylwanin nuzzled her brother and smiled at how he spoke. "You sound old, brother. There has been much in the past on which you should not dwell. You have done well by the people, Eytucan. That is what truly counts. I do hope you are right that Eywa will be happy to have me back... I do not know that I wish to be anything but a priestess. We proved I am not quite suited to be a warrior, and hunting is necessary to me, not enjoyable." She purred soothingly at her brother, hoping he would stay cheerful.
"Kerusey smiling? I think you hope for too much, brother. He did not smile much before the war as I recall." Sylwanin could not think of the last time she had seen her other brother smile. Then again, her memories of the time before the war were a bit faded. She somehow doubted the angry lion that her brother had become during the war faded much.

Eytucan chuckled. "Well at least we have others who enjoy doing that for the whole pride. We have a communal feast every day... ceremonies... families eating... it's very nice..." He said with a sigh. "My children are all grown and my mate is happy and content and I am happy and content..." He nodded. "Eywa is content." He stood up and began to lead her back towards the eating area's. They would have to set her up a hammock near his and Zelt's.
"Eih. He sure is a sour grape sometimes. Even when he's with his mate he... always... seems off... ya know his normal old self." He looked a bit puzzled for a moment. "Sometimes I wonder... but he is our brother..." He knew that in the past there had been tension between the two of them. "Do you have your sleeping place built?"

Sylwanin listened to her brother as he spoke of the nice things that had come to the pride in her time away. It was good to know that her people were doing so well even if she had had to find her way. "Grown cubs are still cubs to their parents." Sylwanin winked at her brother. "Content, you? You have always been happy, but I would not have called you content, brother. You always were a warrior that looked to what needed to be done next. I never would have thought you to become content... it must be having your Princess now queen and cubs with her."
"One must always wonder what our brother is up to and thinking... since he rarely shares such things with us." The lioness blinked. "Someone mated to him? That poor female." It was not that she disliked her brother, but she could not see Kerusey being a good mate by any means. He was just too... well Kerusey. "I have not been here long enough to build my hammock again... but I was thinking I might find a nice spot near you and your heir, so I can remind you both of the dangers of being like me." She grinned at her brother and motioned for him to lead up to the sleeping areas.

Eytucan didn't really like to dwell on it. He didn't know if he did want to know what his brother thought. He wasn't sure if he even wanted to ever think of it. He couldn't ever really imagine... as they were so different. "He is... unlike us." He said simply, shrugging his shoulders. He then shook his head and smiled. "Eh, he's a sour puss.. we know that. So lets head back.. I want to get you settled in."
He began to lead her back towards home tree; where they could build her new sleeping area together. "I would be honored sister."

Sylwanin followed her brother and wondered how hard it was going to be to readjust to being home. She could tell Eytucan was worried about Keursey and she hoped it was not a true reason for concern. The problem was, from what she remembered of her other brother, it could very well be reason for concern. His mind did not work the same as Eytucan's or hers, or their sister's for that matter. He was always so... secretive and almost what the rogue land lions would call shady.
It was a horrible thing to think about one's own brother, but Sylwanin did not doubt it was a true thought. She turned her mind to better things, forcefully and eyed up the sleeping area for a good spot to put a hammock. "At least with me sleeping close by you can make sure I stay out of trouble." She teased her brother and spotted a perfect spot for a hammock. Up an almost vertical limb she went to hang over the edge and look at another similar limb. It was sort of above and behind some other hammocks but not too close to crowd the others. "This will work, I think. A bit of climbing to get up here will keep me from getting lazy."
