Jerry had been doing a lot of thinking and self searching, and mostly ignoring Roar and his opinions. The weapon was stupid and wrong. There was just... something wrong with him, was all. A chemical imbalance, maybe? Candace seemed to be kind enough about it, but he couldn't help but feel like he was constantly leaving her... disappointed. From all he knew on the subject, it was something a guy should take pride in, boast about, glow after, feel empowered by.
But why did the subject always leave him terrified and feeling dirty and horrible?
Definitely something wrong with you.
"Shut up," He sighed, running his hand through his hair as he wandered down the hallway. Maybe he just... needed to get advice. Or something. Robert would have just told him to stop being a p***y. Obviously he couldn't go to Jordan... things between them were awkward enough as is without added embarrassment. There were few people he felt comfortable enough bringing up the subject for, he quickly fell short.
Maybe Killzone could- nnnnnooooo. No. Definitely not.
Even so, he had wandered towards the labs, twisting his scarf between his hands nervously as he peeked in each room as he passed, looking for familiar faces. Maybe... Dr H was in? He felt comfortable enough talking to him, and he always seemed like such a confident man, maybe he had advice for him?
Biting his lip, he peered into the Life lab, glancing around quickly for anyone who might be able to help him. "Er... hello?"

Clarice had been going to deliver several reports to the doctor, but upon reaching his office door, her H-sense started to tingle. Years of working for the man had given a near supernatural ability to know when to avoid him. The reports could wait, her personal sanity and well-being were of greater importance.
She was on here way out when the third, and in her opinion, least impressive, of the Killer Unicorns entered the labs. Though he seemed nice enough, and Killzone, insisted he was working through his "Jerry Issues," Clarice still felt that Candace and Harrison could do better than a spazz with a cannon and a growing psych file. H also seemed interested in him, but that was hardly a shining recommendation.
A part of her felt this was more than a little hypocritical of her, but that part could shut the hell up.
Turning to the trainee with a wry twist of a smile, despite her impression of him, she greeted Jerry with a relatively pleasant, "Did you need any help today, Jerry?"

Oh. It was. Er. Miss Clarice. His face immediately went red, and he thought about bolting. In retrospect, that would have only drawn more attention, and still not help him resolve his current concern. "Uh!" He cleared his throat, "Hi! Um! I was actually er... hoping to find the Doctor?" It wasn't that he didn't trust her... medical competency, even after all evidence of what had happened in these labs before to his various friends who had sought her assistance.
It was more of a matter of whether or not he was comfortable talking to a *woman* about this. Not that it really would be any easier to approach a fellow man, but... oh, nuts.
"I just.. it's er... s-sort of a more um." He cleared his throat again, trying to regain his composure and general friendly demeanor. "A p-personal matter."

She quirked a brow at him actually wanting to find H. Obviously the doctor had yet to become overtly sadistic with one. Jerry didn't seem to be near death or in need of H's advanced runic healing skills, though he was looking a bit feverish. She was about to send him to Stephan's gentler mercies when he continued, causing the other brow to shoot up as well. Personal matters? Why would he need H for...oh...
"It this about condoms? The doctor isn't available right now," she very kindly spared him the sight of whatever he was doing in his office right now. Clarice had walked in on far too many of the doctor's special moods and hobbies to willingly inflict them on a fellow hunter, even she wasn't exactly BFF's with them. "I can get you some, though?" She starting digging in her coat pockets, "If it's an emergency..." she stared at Jerry for a moment of slight disbelief and then shrugged, Candace didn't strike her as the most physically patient of women, so maybe it really was an emergency, "...I have a couple here. Or if you have time, I can show you where they're kept in the infirmary? They have a pretty good variety..."

"W-what?" He froze, blinking in horror as she practically leaped to shower him in contraception. "Oh! Uh... That's not... I mean... well er..." He cleared his throat, trying to retain what dignity he had that remained, "Thank you." That was the polite response, right? Right.
And... the ice was broken at least, right? Right. Although, he was baffled as to how she got 'condoms' out of 'personal problems'. "A-actually um." His face had gone red again, and he picked at his cheek just ahead of his ear. "W-well.. ahahaha there's um." Just inhale, and say it. Right... now. In a moment. After she helped him play it safe. Always good to play it safe, right? Right. He started to follow where ever she might lead.
How was he supposed to say it?? She was all... standing there and pretty and a terrifying member of the opposite sex and trying to be helpful and...
He inhaled sharply. "Miss Clarice, I was actually looking for um... a certain... um. Y-you see, I've um." Maybe... maybe if he wrote it down it wouldn't be as terrible as saying it? No, it wouldn't, but still flushing, he scrambled for a post-it-note and a pen from one of the nearby work stations. A series of scribbles later, the only legible words were: 'Help Pleasing a Lady.'
This was offered to Clarice with averted eyes and a haunted expression.

Through his reaction her own expression ranged from mild concern for his general health to total and complete poker face as she read the scrap of paper and took in Jerry's expression. Well, that explained why he was asking for the doctor, but Clarice felt that it was just as well Jerry didn't see him about this. He'd probably give the man all sorts of creepy advice that would probably just make things worse for the poor b*****d.
Under normal circumstances, Clarice would just recommend a book or something and forget this little conversation ever happened, because...well...
Awkward.
But the lady in question would be Candace. And the blonde actually kind of liked Candace. She worked hard, tried her best, and was becoming a damn fine hunter. All things said and done, Candace deserved orgasms, and Clarice would make sure she got them. Plus she felt herself warming slightly to the man, not every guy would take a step like this for his girlfriend.
"Okay. This is obviously a conversation not suited to a public hallway," she didn't even ask him to follow, but rather just grabbed his elbow in a firm grip and pulled him to her office. "Take a seat, and before you ask, nothing you say will leave this room."
She took a seat herself, took a deep breath and started in what she hoped was a professional manner, "Now, there's a lot of ways to...please a woman. But first, where is the ah...pleasing going wrong?" Yeah, so much for hoping.

Jerry's look of discomfort and total embarrassment did not wane, even as she informed him that nothing would leave this room. He shifted in the chair she had pushed him down into, adjusting his glasses as he still seemed to have trouble meeting her eyes. "It's. I'm just. Um." He had thought it over all night, how come it was so difficult to just SAY it now?
Because she was a pretty girl and he was about to admit something really embarrassing.
Bingo, meatbag.
At Roar's taunting he at least stopped his stammering. Deep breath, and plunge forth. "It's... a f-few things I think. Um. Thank you, by the way, this is... um. Not... something I'd er... I mean I'm not very-" Alright, so the babbling didn't stop, but at least a sharp snarl from Roar in the back of his head, he pulled it together and scrambled for his point, "It's.. m-multiple problems, I think. Um. P-partly I'm just. Uh." He coughed, glancing to the door, his leg bouncing nervously as he slouched in his chair, "Quicker than her, I guess. But... it's beyond that. Um. I w-wonder if... it's a confidence thing, perhaps? I'm not sure, but I wasn't really comfortable um. Bringing this up to Killzone and uh. I just... keep getting the feeling that I'm not... um. Fully satisfying her. If you um. Know what I mean. It's not for a lack of trying! It's just all... such tricky business and I keep imagining my grandmother bursting in and that doesn't help at all let me tell you!"

The assistant nodded along patiently, and then said, "Not gonna touch the grandmother thing, Jerry. Just...lock your door or something, kay? But," she smiled reassuringly, "finishing quickly isn't as big of a problem as you might think. Lots of guys have that issue, and there's creams and pills, and all sorts of things that can decrease sensitivity and help you last longer. Some guys in the labs even made a runic..." Clarice's voice trailed off, and she gained a distant, slightly traumatized expression for a moment.
"...let's not talk about that. Anyway, there's things you can do to help with that but...really? Just lasting awhile doesn't guarantee that you'll please her. Pleasing a woman is about more than a guy's erection, it's about her and her body too. So..." the blonde steepled her fingers and leaned forward, "...what have you been trying as far as foreplay goes?"

He blinked at her like a deer in headlights, face going white now, at least. With a bit of a green tint. "We. Um. It. Sh-she usually just... I just... sort of... go with the flow and um." He sank lower in his chair, hiding his face in his hands. Oh god, this wasn't really happening, he wasn't really here talking about this with a real other person who wasn't just a disembodied voice in his head with strong opinions.
"I... I've wasted enough of your time, I'm sorry, ah.. thank you for the um." He swallowed, shifting in his chair as though looking for a reason to bolt.

"Jerry," Clarice's voice grew stern and here eyes gained a laser-like intensity, "I will be the judge of what wastes my time. Now settle down and listen up. Sex isn't the end of the world, kay? That's your other job. This one is about making Candace happy." Grabbing a pen and paper, she continued, "Now, all women have different areas on their body that gives them...well, thrills, little shivers of happy. It'll be up to you to ask her about them, while things are starting to warm up. Going with the flow is fine, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take the opportunity to listen and learn."
She drew a small circle on the paper, "But I will give you a little bit of specific information, Jerry, because I know this sort of thing can be intimidating for men the first time they actually start to really consider giving back as much as they receive. And I respect you for putting some effort into actually pleasing Candace."
She drew two lines, and suddenly it looked a little bit like a pea in a pod. "Now, you can do all sorts of wonderful things to make her feel nice, but this area is pretty much the honey jar. It's her happy place," she drew a little smiley face inside the circle. "The v****a, and don't give me that look, there is nothing to be ashamed of, or embarrassed by here." Clarice, by this point, had bypassed awkward through sheer force of will. She was now in mission mode. "Now, women aren't like men, you can't just hit the button repeatedly and get good results. Uh-uh." She shook the pen at him, "It's like...hmmmm..." she searched for a proper analogy that he'd be able to possibly, maybe grasp with some sort of familiarity. Was had Robert whining about? Joining some sort of choir or band or something? "Like...a musical instrument. You can't just bang away at a piano and expect the other person to enjoy listening to it, right?"
The blonde finally paused her lecture and stared at Jerry expectantly.

"Sh-she deserves it," he mumbled bashfully as Clarice complimented his bravery for seeking help, although it didn't make him feel much better. He sat stiffly in his chair, but as the woman went on, no sooner had the word 'v****a' left her mouth, his eyes had gotten a slight glazed over look and he felt his mind start to wander and float.
NO. No no no he was here, he had to STAY here, or all of this embarrassment would be for nothing. He blinked several times, a look of serious concentration on his face as he stared purposefully at the smiley face on the paper.
His adam's apple bobbed as his eyes darted up to her from the illustration on the paper, "She er... has said um. She er. Liked my um. Finger work. But it's just... I mean. I do try. I understand the theories. I just... I freeze up! Or... or panic! It's not like I'm afraid of... hurting her or something, but..." The look on his face helped fill in the gap- it was one of a soul terrified it was about to be sent to Hell for being awful and ungodly. Not that he personally believed in hell, but the sentiment was there all the same.

It actually took several long moments of considering the man's behavior for Clarice to actually get it, and even them she was still a bit confused. Her upbringing had always been more concerned about logic and practical reasoning than morality issues. "Um...finger work is good, that's a really good start, Jerry. Could it be that you are um..." her confidence was beginning to wobble just the slightest as the awkward became more...awkward. "Does having sex with a woman seem wrong to you on some level?"
Some guys may take exception to being asked outright if they were gay, so she felt this was a nice a compromise.

His brows furrowed as he tried to blearily digest the question. Roar, of course, had his own immediate opinion on that answer, but kept his metaphorical mouth shut out of morbid curiosity. It was always a lot better to watch the man writhe through his personal problems than try to get directly involved.
Jerry slumped, running his hand through his hair, "W-well I guess, maybe a... a little... but I thought that was just s-something everyone went through and just... got over."
Roar sighed.

"Well..." the blonde began cautiously, "...in a way it is. Not so much anyone, but quite a few people. There's nothing wrong with you, just sometimes there's factors in our environment that makes us feel of ashamed for things that are completely natural and okay."
Clarice smiled encouragingly at him, "So you don't need to feel bad, alright? But getting over these things isn't always that simple. Usually you need to figure out why you feel wrong in the first place and work on coming to terms with it." It's okay, Jerry. You're allowed to be gay. Candace could get orgasms elsewhere.

Well, the cards were out on the table, although maybe not the way the sun trainee thought. He ran his hand through his hair with a sigh, at least calming down now that they had pushed their way through the worst of it. Now at least maybe he could get a good direction. "I know I probably should be talking to Mr. Killzone about this. But er. Thank you. You're definitely less um. Terrifying, ahahaha..." He pushed his glasses up his nose before tapping a nervous rhythm against his arm wrest, "I think... coming here, to the island, I mean... was really good for me. I never realized just... how many er. Hang-ups. I have. Er. I mean. Besides the um. F-few phobias." Life definitely felt easier and clearer when it was time to aim and fire and blow the horrors up. It was everything else that made his head spin.
"But I mean... Valentine's day is coming up and... with everything going on- you know. Um. The adjustments to... to everything. Etcetera. She's just... She's always so kind to me and ridiculously understanding and when I'm with her I just feel so... I want to do right by her, you know? Treat her how she aught to be treated, even if I'm... ahaha... not very good at it."
