Introduce your awesome self below! Put what you want everyone to call you and some cool facts about yourself.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2012 12:35 pm

Hello all! I'm Tommy, but if you wanna use Mjolnir that's cool too. I'm 21, I've lived in Pasadena CA my whole life, and I'm a student right now.

I want to do voice-acting, because I've always loved watching cartoons and anime on Cartoon Network since I was a kid. So that's my "shoot-for-the-moon" dream. I also love philosophy and theology, and just Bible speak in general. I like history when it's taught by the correct teacher too. Theatre is a particular intrigue of mine as well. I've been a Methodist my whole life, but really denominations matter very little to me, if at all. It's all about the connection I have with God, and really whatever works differs from person to person. If you're a Roman Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Jehovah's Witness, etc etc., I could care less. You're a friend in Christ to me man!

Okay, first one to put it on the line. Someone else's turn now. >_>'

"Hi, I'm Shelby."
Everyone replies " Hi, Shelby."
"I've been a recovering sinner for thirteen years."

Ok, all jokes aside. I'm Shelby and you can tell from above. I also go by Shleby or Penguin. I'm 21 and every year for the past 3 years I've celebrated my birthday at the best church camp ever. I've been a Christian since I was eight years. I've lived in Dallas, Texas my whole life.
I work at a church in the nursery and sometimes teach children's church. I also help out with two youth groups and do a lot of babysitting. If I'm gone for a while during the summer that means I'm voluteering at Camp Fuego. So as you can tell teaching is my passion. When I teach it's to make people think out of the box about scripture. I'm weird, crazy, and completely awesome for I have 78 kids that will tell you that. Revelation is my favorite book in the Bible.
I am random and I love to make jokes. I love giving random ninja hugs and getting them as well. My favorite color is neon orange and I'm obsessed with penguins. I'm the biggest history nerd ever!

Hey Y'all!

My name is Samantha but you can call me Sam. I'm 23 years old and I LOVE Jesus. I have been saved since I was 11years old but truly started living for him when I was 17. I have a daughter who is 4 years old and she is a major driving force in my walk with God. I am a part of a ministry called Celebrate Recovery and I know that God has called me to serve there to help his broken people (as we all are broken because we all sin.)

I live in Vallejo, CA and have pretty much my whole life. I am in the process of getting into college to become a Christian Family Counselor to help those in need as well. I love helping people and I love to have a good time. I love to joke and laugh and play games. I have a very happy bubbly attitude most of the time! If anyone needs anything at all, please just let me know and I will do everything in my power to help you out!

Not sure what to say, friends, but I'll throw out my best to you!

Hey! My name is Maggie and you can call me that if you wish. (Magdalen, actually, but Maggie is easier to remember). I live in Illinois, USA and have been a Christian for my entire lifetime. Let me tell you, that is no easy journey. I have found the hardest place to live your faith is with those who profess to share the same. I have served my parish in Rockford for nearly six years now as an altar server, choir member, volunteer, and now Eucharistic minister.

I plan to study Catechists in two years at Steubanville, Ohio! (so nervous... pray for me that this is the right choice... I feel as if God is calling me to teach the faith of Christ...! I was going to study Apologetics but... I am not cut out for that. I would be skinned alive. I am so terrible in psychological debates! Especially pertaining to the God!)

I am a writer, artists, and singer, and a bit on the shy side... apologies. But I try my best! If I seem a bit argumentative at times... I sincerely apologize now. It is the fact I have been studying Theology for nearly 12 years now and more so through my own research in all angles of the issues, I have long come to decisions regarding certain topics that I do not believe because people say I have to or should. But I still respect all your beliefs as based in fact, experience, and love for God. I have come to my own decisions through hard work and a true desire to learn. I just ask you do the same for me before saying everything I say is wrong. (it has happened before... so I bore you with my long rambling paragraph... u___u) and blah blah blaaah... and everyone else too. I am a firm believer in respect.

Though I don't see anyone actually putting it so I will risk throwing out my own if it even matters or not, I am a cradle Catholic and believe with all my heart in the love and mercy of our Lord God to me and every single one of my brothers and sisters of humanity!

Our Lord be with you all always and be forever enthroned in your hearts. heart

Hello everyone I guess I might as well introduce myself.
My name's probably hard to pronounce for you guys so I'll go by my nickname Fuu. Nice and simple.
I'm a college student and I'm currently involved in my church. I've pretty much been attending to church as far as I can remember and as soon as I was conscious enough I decided to get baptized and accepted Jesus Christ. I'm studying ASL (American Sign Language) so one day I can spread the word to all those that can't hear it. I plan on becoming an interpreter.

I'm pretty easy going, and don't hold grudges that easily, so feel free to voice your opinions around me.

Good day. My name online is Nyx Moonlight. Just call me Nyx for now. I am a Christian, and have been all my life. This next thing is something I just want to say. I lost my mother at the age of seven and never have known my father. So please, do not talk mean about your parents. It's not good and it really saddens me. Soon I will be off to college, but for now, I am enjoying my last year with friends and Christ in my life. Without the Lord, I would never have learned to live with my mother's death and be who I am. biggrin I am in band, (I just adore it!), as are my friends. biggrin And that is all I feel like saying.

Hm.... (btw what I say first is to everyone not just who I quoted ^^) My name is Corey or you can call me Rsnbl or Faith. I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember (followed my brother up to the alter when I was very young.)

I am studying on my own theological and philosophical concepts in order to gain a better understanding of the Christian faith so I might better defend it against the attacks of the secular community. It was a decision based on what happened to me my Soph year of High School. I was often attacked for my faith and could hardly defend myself. (I was hardly studied in arguing let alone what I was attacked for.) Shortly after I went to my brother and began studying what he handed me. I must say after gaining a grasp on it I was able to argue back within a bout a weeks time, and in a month I was able to get them stumbling and even supporting my side on accident.

I often write short, horribly written essays. ( I have pretty poor grammar if you haven't noticed already.) And some novice poetry and stories. I enjoy singing (no matter how horrible I am at it) and acting (this is one of the few things I can say that I actually do well x3. One of the few things no one has ever commented poorly at me for.)

As of late I have been studying some of the Catholic St's. Just to mention some and what I have been reading by them: Summa Theologica Volume 2 by St Thomas Aquinas, The Conferences by John Cassian, and On the Incarnation by Athanasius. Though I do not mean to cause people to become confused, I am not Catholic, though I do enjoy the Catholic Church and believe the Protestant Churches ought to adapt many of its methods. But there are certain things about the Catholic Church that keep me out of it. I do not wish to start a debate nor have I said this to encourage one from Maggie x.x.... Why I quoted Maggie is coming after this paragraph. (I would like to note that my deep respect for the Catholic Church is not only based upon the systems I believe the Protestant churches ought to adopt, but also on its teachings on the Nature of God and the amazing theological arguments that many of their great St's have brought about. For instance John Cassian has argued quite well for the idea of Synergism which teaches that God draws all towards Him, but it is up to us to accept His call. For more on that check out my profile.)

To Maggie:

From the sounds of it me and you should get a long quite well! I also hope that we will argue a bit too, because I do wish to learn more about the Catholic Church! Unlike many Baptists (which I am a part of) I do not look at a Catholic and think to myself "HERESY!" I think of it as I would a Southern Baptist Church (which leans towards once saved always saved sadly) though probably more respectful of the Catholic Church than many Baptist churches x3.

I also noticed your interest in apologetics! Which is what intrigued me the most. Some day I would enjoy to discuss some with you if you wouldn't mind ^^.

- The End. Sorry for my wordiness x3.

Hello everyone. Thanks for the invite!

My name is Enjolras (yes, really) but most people call me Enj, and you can, too.

I'm probably older than most, if not all of you. Haha.

I was raised in a very traditional Roman Catholic family, and while the Church will always remain very near and dear to my heart, I've found myself walking a very different spiritual path as an adult. I'm not really sure how to classify myself these days, nor do I really find a need to. I believe in God and Christ and choose to worship in my own way. 3nodding

I've struggled with my faith a great deal throughout my life, but currently feel that I've finally managed to get to a place where I'm at peace with my faith and my life. I'm not a very traditional Christian, or a very traditional person, but that's okay, and I no longer feel the need to torture myself over not being "normal."

Let's see....what else. I'm homosexual, and married to my partner of about 13 years. I live in the UK, and have a Masters in violin performance. I'm a music teacher and freelance performer. I also play piano, and dabble in composing. I absolutely love my job. To quote the conductor of the Chicago Symphony, I believe music is one of the most powerful forces for good in the world. I live and breathe it, and music truly is my life.

Aside from that, I enjoy cooking, drawing, philosophy, reading, horseback-riding, and spending time with my wonderful friends and family.

If you want to know anything else, just ask. I'm a pretty open book. smile

Well hi everyone!! It is really great to be here and all of you sound like wonderful and interesting people. I can't wait to get to know all of you better.
My name is Sabeine (Suh-bean). The pronunciation is there because most people have issues with my name lol. I am 23 as of Jan. 24th, I am almost 3 years married to an angel, my soul mate, my love!! I am in my fifth year of college studying Christian theology and youth ministry. I am non-denominational, we are all children of God and friends of Christ, one family, one faith. I am currently helping with the children's and youth ministries at my church, but it is my aspiration to soon take over as the head youth pastor.

I have not always been a Christian. I grew up in a luke-warm Christian home (this means that they were just Christian by name but not of fire for God). We prayed at mealtimes and bedtime, but still lived like most of the world. Soon though, I turned Wiccan. For most of my childhood and mid teens I was pagan and practicing spells. I was also somewhat suicidal and very depressed. I used to be a cutter too. But when I was 15 I was desperate and decided to try youth group...in 2005 I was baptized and now here I am!!

I have several things in common with a few of you. I believe it was Tommy who really expressed and interest in theater. That is me as well. I almost decided to be an actress. I have been in several acting groups and choirs. During high school I performed for over 20,000 people. Shelby, as you can tell, we seem to share a passion for children and youth, yay!! And Samantha, my mother helps with Celebrate Recovery too...do you go to a Vinyard? That is where she got connected with it.

Well, yeah...umm...I am gothic, I love corsets, black lace and gloves, and the band Evanescence!! If I had my choice (and money) I would always dress in a gothic-Victorian manner. I love to laugh and make others laugh, I am a huge gamer (PS3 and PC). My husband and I love to play together, we also Role Play. Some of my favy games are: Skyrim, Dragon Age, Sims, and Fallout...(I'm sure there are others)...uhh, well I have told you my whole life story and then some...sorry...I will be quite now, just got excited...

Hello everyone... I dont give out my name for safety issues (not saying dont trust you guys but you know) but you guys can call me Riku. I have grown up in a christian family my entire life but never really did get it. I followed the rules and on the outside was a nice, caring, christian girl but I didn't truely give my life to God untill my sophmore year of high school. That year was the worse year of my young life, my world... my castle in the sand was desolving and it left me in a extreme state of depression... which is bad for someone like me that keeps the pain bottled inside and had trouble trusting others with my emotions. It got to the point where I started to question my existance and though I did not plan a plan for suicide I was frequently asking the questions... what would people do if i started cutting, would people really care if I disappeared, would people actually moarn my death, for how long, would it really make a difference if I disappeared? One night though and my breaking point I turned on the radio station K-love for the first time in a long time and through music God saved my life and I sat there crying, praying for forgiveness and excepted God truely in my life. Since then life has gotten better... not easier because you know I am still a sinner, I still struggle and have problem but I know I will get through them. Oh just thought I would add that I hate religion, but love God! In my mind religion is the downfall for most christians and if you disagree with me or are confused why I feel this way then reply to this message.

My name is James Lambert, and I'm an alcoholic. sweatdrop

Just kidding, though I probably do drink a bit more than I ought to. >w>;

My name really is James Lambert, though, and I like to be called Jamie. Like Sabeine, I haven't always been a Christian, and I also had suicidal urges. In fact, I have Sabeine and her husband to thank for steering me onto the righteous path. 3nodding If not for them and the Lord, I'm pretty sure I would've gutted myself like a trout years ago.

I also love Gothic fashion like Sabeine does, but sadly, I haven't the figure or funds for some of the really good stuff, and being a guy, I think I'd just look silly in a corset. XD;

I also enjoy the same kinds of games as Sabeine does, as well as some games that I'm not sure she'd like. Then again, you never know what someone'll like until they try it.

I enjoy watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Yes, I'm serious.), and I'm a somewhat obsessed Doctor Who fan. One of my dreams is to own a collection of replica sonic screwdrivers. whee

If you wanna know anything else about me, go ahead and ask.
