Alexandre had set up a time and place to meet with Johnathan, somewhere far from his home. He'd asked him to meet him somewhere close to where the blue haired agent lived, not wanting to have him walking or taking the bus to the meeting place. He'd offered training with the other, to help them both, but he also wanted to see how the other fought - if he did.

If Bazzite couldn't fight, or needed help, he;d be helping as much as he could. He knew weapons wise they were different but in hand to hand he could help, at least in some small ways. In no way was Benitoite the most capable of individuals when it came to fighting, but he had a feeling he might have more experience than the other officer.

Standing around, already powered up, he waited for Johnathan, or Bazzite, to appear so they could head to a safe place to conduct their training. He didn't think training where they could be seen, by civilians and enemies alike, was a good idea. So he'd planned on taking them both down to the Rift.

He'd gotten the message - meet here and learn to fight better! Learn to defend yourself! And Bazzite thought himself ready. Sort of. He'd followed Benitoite's instructions for the meeting place and showed up wearing his Negaverse gear like he thought he ought to. In truth, he was rather nervous. He didn't like all-out battles, but this was Beni. So it was okay, right? Still, he couldn't shake the unmistakable anxiety that settled in his stomach. What if he did something wrong?

What if he disappointed his captain?

When the boy showed up, he was twiddling his thumbs and chewing his lip. "D'you... think I'll do okay, Beni?" he asked, eyes unsure. "Where're we going for this training and stuff?"

Watching the other as he showed up he nodded in greeting, all business at the moment. "I think you'll do fine. The training will help however, in truth...we all could use training no matter what level were at. But that's my opinion, and what General Painite once mentioned to me. I think you, and I, could both due to learn from each other and together." There was no telling what the other might be capable of which may take him by surprise, and vice verse. This would be good for them both, though perhaps more so for Bazzite.

"Come here, I'm going to bring us down to the rift." Or so he hoped. He knew he could teleport, and he had heard a long time back from Carnelian that he hitched rides with Captains. So he could only assume he could take Bazzite down with him to the Negaspace, he just hoped he didn't mess this up. He knew he'd be worn out from this, it still left him worn out after teleporting just himself. He'd just gotten used to it and shook it off as quickly as he could.

He'd been teleported only a handful of times and each time it was freaky. The world spun into some watercolor spiral of color and sound and he'd ended up sick more than once from it. Bazzite just hoped Beni's coat wouldn't suffer from his poor stomach. Latching onto the captain's arm, the lieutenant screwed his eyes shut in preparation. Maybe he should've taken some anti-barf pills before he left the house that evening?

"Ah... ready when you are, Beni. Just... can we land really gently? Please? That would be mega awesome." It was probably a hilarious sight - a taller lieutenant cowering in fear and clutching a much smaller captain by the arm. Bazzite just hoped everything would end up in one piece on the other side. He'd seen Star Trek - bad things happened in teleporters.

"I shall attempt that, for both of our sakes. I have however never done with with another person." So the likelihood of being able to gently land them was slim to none. He would of course try, he cared for the blue haired Lieutenant and didn't wish to see him ill because of his actions.

Holding onto the taller tightly he closed his own eyes as he focused on where he wanted to go, and how to get there. It was the weakness, the tiredness, which hit him as they landed. He didn't notice the landing even, or that he'd done it right. They had arrived safely but when he opened his eyes he just wanted to close them again as he leaned into the shorter male.

When he pulled back from the other, slowly, he stumbled before catching his balance. "We have to walk down into the Rift." Which he was dreading at the moment but they'd make it. He wasn't giving up on his plans for the evening.

The world was a blur, just like he'd remembered it. Forms and sounds twisted and stretched before being reassembled at the end of their journey. They were in Negaspace now, down near the place Bazzite dreaded to go. Purplezilla lurked in there along with a multitude of other things he hoped he'd never have to meet. Once his knees were firmly beneath him, Bazzite found his voice. "Beni? Umm... do we hafta train down by all the monsters? I don't really like the monsters. Beni? Are you sure about this?"

He knew Purplezilla lived down there. He was sure of it. Purplezilla helped bring him into the Negaverse, but that didn't mean Bazzite wasn't utterly terrified of her. Her and... who was that other lady? She had pretty hair and wore a kimono, but he hadn't seen her since his induction. Bazzite felt rather lonely then, but he stepped up his pace to stick close to his captain. He didn't want the monsters eating him now that they were down there.

"I'm sure, and I'm sure we'll be fine. They shouldn't hurt us." Though he didn't fully trust the youma he did have a soft spot for them, all of them. "I don't think we can train up here, I mean I know people socialize up here." He really wasn't sure, he knew training though did happen down there

"I'll make sure your safe." Confidence in his voice, even though he wasn't fully confidence in their safety. He wouldn't, couldn't, let the other hear that in his voice so he hid it well. With shorter legs it wasn't hard for Bazzite to keep at his side as he traveled down to the Rift, past the spirits that screamed silently from behind their confining crystal walls. That was one of the things which disturbed him most in this world, it was something straight out of a horror movie and if not it should be in one. It was just creepy and unsettling.

Finally they were looking out over the destroyed city. "Come on, were almost there, then we can get to it." His words more sure, and stronger, than he felt right now. He was tired, drained, he just hoped he could go through with this training idea.

The lieutenant bit back a squeak of surprise when the youma throng lifted and pulsed like a throbbing, angry sea. They clawed at their confines and looked at him with hungry eyes. Bazzite swallowed the lump in his throat and trotted alongside his captain in fear and reverence. Would Purplezilla come out to try to eat them too? Wasn't she like, half-monster? Did she eat other youma? Somehow, he didn't want to find out. He was afraid of what the truth might be.

Blue eyes were kept shakily focused on Benitoite's coat and hair. Bazzite rolled his tongue around in his mouth to keep from screaming every time a youma threw itself against the crystal barrier. He was silently thankful for it and hoped none of these monsters would ever be free.

The abandoned city was something that made his skin crawl. Was she in there? Would they have to train under her watchful eyes? Bazzite snatched up his captain's free arm and held it close. "Beni... um... the monsters can't get out, right? I mean, they don't wanna eat us, do they?" came a shuddering whisper. The closer they got to the city, the more terrified the lieutenant became. He wasn't sure he even knew his own name anymore.

Why would it matter if they were ever free or not? There were enough of them down in the Rift itself, so a few, or a lot, more wouldn't' make too much of a difference. The walk down was hurried, as he wanted to get down as soon as he could. He tried to hide his hurried pace, he couldn't let the other see he didn't like this hallway.

"They can't get out, as far as I know. I wager that if they could have gotten out they already would have, it seems like they dislike being behind that wall. As for eating us...who knows what they'd do to us, I wouldn't predict what they'd do." Watching the youma around them, glowing eyes and shadowy forms floating, flying, creeping, and crawling by or just out of range. A few didn't seem to care while some others seemed interested in their presence.

It was in the center of the ruined ancient city that he found what he'd been looking for. He'd been her before, he wanted to learn his way around the Rift and had found this stadium in the process. "We'll train in there." Pointing to the stadium as they made their approach. It hadn't been a fast walk to get there either, especially not when one as watching their back to insure safety.

"I never did ask...but what weapon do you have?"

Clinging to the captain was the best thing Bazzite could have done in the situation, jumping every time Youma teeth met Youma jaw. The place utterly terrified him and he was glad he'd gone to the bathroom before coming down here lest he wet himself and embarrass the both of them.

Fumbling into his pockets, the trembling lieutenant pulled out a handful of folded paper shuriken. "Uh... I have these!" He offered a cautious and nervous smile, pushing faded blue locks out of his face with the heel of his hand. "They... they don't do much but it's better than nothing, right? ....right Beni?" Bazzite's voice crackled a bit with each passing word and his soft soled shoes pushed dirt around them as he shuffled from side to side.

Could Beni teleport them back out if bad things were to happen?

"N-n-now whaddu we do, Beni?"

"Yes, that's right." Smiling at the other, fighting back to urge to ruffle the taller males hair. He really was an innocent, someone whom he didn't want to fully yank the rose colored glasses from. He needed it, he was sure of it, he couldn't even begin to imagine what would happen should those glasses be yanked away from Bazzite's eyes. Shaking those thoughts away he focused on the task at hand.

"Perhaps no weapons, hand to hand might be better. I don't honestly know just how, or how well, your paper weapon can be used." He wasn't insulting but he honestly wasn't sure, what could you do with folded pieces of paper? He didn't see how it could be used as a weapon, it made a worse weapon than his first paintbrush did.

"Why don't you attack me and I'll dodge? I can see, that way, what you can do and we can go from there. I think that might be the best way to approach for now." Once he had an idea he would know what to do, and what may be too much for the pale blue haired Lieutenant. He didn't want to go too far but on the same hand he didn't want to go too easy on the other.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 04, 2012 5:51 pm

Bazzite swallowed another lump. "But... but I don't wanna attack you, Beni. You're my buddy and all that..." The lieutenant shuffled too and fro, watching the churning sea of youma out of the corner of his eye. Eyebrows furrowed and he emitted a high-pitched whine. "I-I-I mean we hafta get better and train and all that but... did we really hafta come down here? To the Doom Zone?" Bazzite sniffled slightly and a few paper shuriken leaked from his uniform pocket into a neat pile on the ground.

The captain was his captain and had to know what he was doing, so despite every fiber of Bazzite's being simultaneously screaming pee and run, the young boy tiptoed toward his superior and squeezed his eyes shut. Arms flailed about randomly and Bazzite only took a few steps forward and back each time. He didn't want to aim and hurt his captain. One bout of flailing ended soon after it started and the boy cautiously opened his eyes, only to close them again, turn and flail some more.

He obviously wasn't very good at this whole fighting thing. "I think... I dunno Beni, I think I'm better at other stuff than fighting...!"

Side stepping the flailing arms he rolled his eyes, glad the other couldn't see and become upset, this was going to take a lot of time. He could see this already. The other really needed training, and a lot of it, if he was going to be safe in this war and Benitoite was determined to keep Bazzite safe even when he wasn't out with him. Finally he stepped forward and grabbed both of the others flailing arms.

"You need to separate my being your friend from me being someone you need to strike. I can protect and handle myself, if I can't that means my training needs to improve." Which wasn't to say it didn't anyway, but he knew he could handle this on his own - no extra training needed. "You need to be able to defend yourself, I don't want to see you hurt by a senshi, or several." He would have to handle any senshi that would hurt him, preferably before Painite did as he was sure she'd be looking to steal starseeds as retribution.

"I'm sure your good at other things." Sighing he reached up with one hand, his hand letting one of Bazzite's go free, and pet his hair gently. "But you need to learn, senshi won't play nice if they catch you out gathering energy. As for coming down here I don't think it safe to train where any senshi, or group of senshi, can find us and turn training into a fight. As for above here it doesn't seem a fitting place for training." It seemed more like training in a home above if they were to do that, and it didn't seem appropriate. Down here seemed like the best place.

"For now focus on me and showing me what you can do, ignore everything else. I want to see what you can do, don't worry about me. I'll be fine." A note of pleading entering his voice, in the hopes of getting the other to work with him down here.

Separate Beni from being his friend? But how could you do that? Beni was his captain and his friend and he wouldn't be anything else ever, right? Bazzite was obviously confused and incredibly scared, but he bit his lip and nodded to his captain. When Benitoite let go of his arms, he nodded again in silence. As much as it killed him to have to attack a friend, he didn't want to shame or embarrass Beni. Beni had been kind to him when everyone else thought he was a loser and didn't deserve to be in the Negaverse.

"I...I-I'll try, Beni. Cuz you said to." Truth be told, Bazzite knew captains and generals like Painite were able to do some crazy things. They were faster and stronger than Bazzite ever thought he would be. It was terrifying partly because he was so scared and yet so glad they were on his side. He didn't want to be a spacepirate and hurt people. He wanted to protect everyone.

Like Beni and Lady Painite.

The chewing on his lip became so severe that it split, sending a little trickle of blood down his cheeks. The blue haired boy wanted to cry, but he blinked back tears and leaned down into a burst of a sprint. One thing he was very good at was sheer speed. He may not be able to hit very hard, but with all the energy he had in his system, Bazzite could book it. He tried swinging at Benitoite in his first pass, but part of him held back. He'd have to try in the second go around. He had energy to spare.

Nodding he smiled at the other, proud that he was just trying. He knew it had to be hard for Bazzite, he couldn't separate his friend and officer from each other or from the teacher he was trying to be right now for him. It wasn't an easy thing to do, though he hadn't an issue himself as he'd recognized his need to train, Bazzite might eventually learn to separate.

"Thank you...Bazzite." Smiling softly at the taller, his head tilting a bit. "I want you to try your very best, because I want you to learn and be as safe as you can." He didn't want the other hurt, by anyone, he had to make sure he was trained so nothing happened to him.

Watching the other he was impressed by the speed the other reached. "That's good, that speed. It's impressive." Praising him as he moved to side step. He would do his best to avoid the other, so Bazzite didn't feel guilt over actually hitting him. He didn't want to do that to the pale blue haired lieutenant, that would only set back any progress they'd make or could make. "With our speed I'll have to do my best as well." Smiling at the other. "So please, continue." He almost sounded...happy, he was certainly proud of the other.
