Ellyria was running through a bed of flowers smiling happily. She loved to go smelling the flowers now that Jordi was busy. He was with some vixen last she seen, blushing. Ellyria was curious why, maybe he liked her or something. Shrugging it off she went off to find Ace, maybe he would want to play. Then again he would probably only want to sleep. She giggled.
Ace was very good at sleeping. But of course she couldn't find him, so instead she wandered around in the forest playing with the flowers.

For once Ace wasn't sleeping. Nope. No way. Yes the world was coming to an end. So what was the lazy fox doing? Trying to catch some lunch. Hey, even foxes like Ace had to eat. The odd looking male was out in a forest trying to find something small he'd be able to catch and eat.
No luck. Perhaps he should have paid attention during his hunting lessons. He always struck too late, or made too much noise. Well fine then. He didn't need to eat. Instead he found a tall, large tree, and curled up beneath it. Nap time.

Giggling, the yellow vixen pounced after a butterfly, "Come back here!" She smiled as she chased after the small bug. The wings were so pretty, all she wanted to do was catch the bug and pet it. Ellyria pouted as she jumped one last time, and ended up falling into a pile of mud. "Meah..." She sniffed as she watched the butterfly flutter away.
Watching the sparkly wings disappear, tears formed in her eyes and her lower lip trembled.

Ace barely had closed his eyes when someone shouting "Come back here!" woke him up. He opened one eye slowly and looked around. Nothing. He closed it again, and opened both eyes when he heard a goopey splash. He supposed he should go see what it was. Maybe then he'd get some sleep.
Grumbling a little, Ace made his way towards where he heard the sounds. He halted when he saw the vixen sitting in a mud puddle. "Elle?"

Elle sniffed as tears started rolling down her cheeks. Why was the butterfly being so mean? All she wanted to do was pet it. It wasn't like she was trying to eat it or something. Elle raised her paw to wipe the tears away, but ended up just getting more mud all over her face.
"Hm?" She heard her name and slowly looked over as she sniffled, "Ace?" She looked at the male baffled.

Ace frowned. "W-what's wrong? Why are you crying?" He hated to see Elle cry. Usually it was because of him and his laziness. But he knew he hadn't seen her in awhile....Wait....could that be it? He stepped into the mud pile and used his tail to brush at her tears. "I-It's not because of me is it?" He didn't know what he'd do if it was because of him.

Elle sniffled as she looked at him, "You?" She cleared her throat, then tried again. "You didn't so anything Ace. I was chasing this butterfly...and all I wanted to do was pet it...but it keep running away...and then I jumped...and I landed in this mud...and now I am all sticky....and....it smells..." She pouted as she looked down at herself, "And Jordi is busy...and I couldn't find you..." She sniffed.
"I was lonely." Elle looked at Ace sadly.

Ace winced. So it was partly his fault. "I'm sorry Elle. I should have come to visit more often." He nodded to their left. "Come one, let's get washed up. A little ways in that direction lies a stream." He almost laughed though. It was just like Elle to chase after a butterfly in hopes to pet it. That was just one of the many things Ace liked about being around her. She had so much energy.

"But it wasn't your fault...You didn't know I was lonely silly." Elle smiled at the red male, nuzzling against his neck, getting him all muddy like. "Ooo streams are fun. I love to go swimming." She jumped up and started walking, well to her it was walking to other foxes it was known as running.
"Come on Ace!" She beamed as she bolted for the stream, then when it came within her range she leapt in the air and splashed into the water stylishly.

With a chuckle, Ace followed Elle to the stream at a slower pace. The stream wasn't going anywhere. And if he ran now, he'd want to take a nap even more, which would upset Elle. Ace didn't want to do that. So walking would have to do.
The male sat at the edge of the stream for a moment before wading in. He lowered himself into the water and paddled around for a little bit. Just for a little though. Enough to get the mud off. Once he even ducked his head under to get the mud Elle had spread on his neck.
Of course he didn't do it often since it was a pain to see after with the water constantly dripping off of his bone mask. He squinted around, looking for Elle.

Elle popped out of the water behind him and drapped her paws over his shoulders as she piggy backed on him as she smiled. "I got you Ace." She giggled as she dove under the water to watch all the mud off. "I am glad that I ran into you Acey." The yellow vixen beamed at him, "You have no idea how lonely I was getting....that butterfly had been my only companion for over a week."
"At least I think it was the same one." She pursed her lips as she thought about it.

Ace sputtered as he came back to the surface after Elle dragged him down, however unintentionally, by getting on his back. He dashed a paw across his eyes, trying to get the water out of them. "A whole week? You kept track of it that long?" Amazing. Elle really must have needed something to do.

Elle smiled, "Of course...It was either track the butterfly or sit in my cave alone. The squirrels kept running away from me." She pouted. "One of them bit my paw. They are not nice creatures..."
She shook her head, then giggled as she slid off his back and swam underneath him and came back to the surface. Elle gave him a innocent smile, then squirted water into his face.
"What did you do? Besides sleep?"

Ace laughed. "They probably don't think we're nice either, trying to eat them and all." He could imagine Elle's cave, her in the middle, surrounded by critters she was trying to befriend. It really seemed a funny sight, at least in his mind.
Ace blew raspberries as he tried to get the water out of his face again. Perhaps he should get out of the water now..."I slept. Ate. Slept. Napped. Visited my mom. Relaxed." Very exciting stuff.

"I don't eat them." Ellyria looked at Ace frowning, "I like fruits and veggies....Meat is gross." Of course it was only recently that she was going through this no meat phase. She had seen a dead carcass and it had freaked her out. She had been avoiding meat ever since.
"I want strawberries." She swam to the edge, and pulled herself up. Once she was on shore she shook out her fur.
