 Among a pile of rocks on a lake shore, a sigh emerged. Following the sigh, a head popped up from where it was resting on one rock. It looked around before falling onto the paws of the purplish-green vixen laying on a large slab. "It's so boring here...." Osbeth rolled over to where she was laying on her back. "What shall I do today?"
That was the question of the day. What to do? She supposed she could go try to find Sir Knight again. She hadn't seen him a lot lately because he had tribe duties. Which was why she wasn't going to look for him now. What if he was doing those tribe duties? She didn't want to bother him, or his tribe. So that left her being very, very bored.

 Knight moved quietly away from his home in tribe lands. His elder had given him the day off so of course Knight took off with a smile and a nod not wasting any time. He didn’t know where Miss Osbeth might be, but after speaking with her on several occasions Knight found himself more interested in the world and wanted to see more or it. Ironic really since he had now joined a tribe and that kept him close to one spot. Still as a scout he could do a lot of exploring which was nice since his tribe was young and could grow.
Right now Knight was wandering quietly through the woods glad that he could move relatively quietly. He only need look out for low enough obsicles that might catch on his hat or blade.

"Ugh. Forget this." Osbeth stood up and shook herself off. She could find something to do. Totally. Definitely. Maybe she'd take a trek through the woods behind her, find something to chase. Or...She stared at the water in front of her. She could always take a swim. Hm....
Undecided, Osbeth stepped off the rock and took several steps towards the woods, then several steps back towards the lake. Geeze...Maybe she should just turn around in a circle several times really fast and head in the direction that she was pointed to at the end. So, Osbeth closed her eyes and started spinning around really fast.

Wandering out of the woods Knight noticed a vixen spinning around. It took him a moment to realize it was Miss Osbeth. He watched her for a moment before she came to a stop. Before she opened her eyes he moved a bit over so that when she opened her eyes she would see him.
He had a slight smile on his face and sat down quietly to wait for her to notice him. He really wasn’t sure what he was doing so of course he thought it might be something important enough that he shouldn’t interrupt. His hat was a bit crooked on his forehead but his blade was on his side and he thought he looked alright. Though why he cared was a bit confusing to him.

Osbeth kept her eyes closed for a moment after she stopped spinning to allow the world to right itself. Not feeling like she was going to fall if she tried to take a step, the fox opened her eyes and jumped when she saw she wasn't alone.
"Sir Knight!" Osbeth grinned and pranced over to him. "How have you been? How's the tribe treating you? Did you have to fight anything with your deer sticker?" Yes, by now Osbeth knew it had a different name than that, but she still liked calling it a deer sticker.

His ears twitched. Knight had forgotten how energetic Miss Osbeth’s voice sounded. It was loud in the relatively quiet of the little clearing. It was a pleasant as it was disturbing. He moved on to answering her barrage of questions. “I have been well my tribe leader has given me some time off and so I came out here to relax and explore. I did not think I would find you spinning about like a leaf in the wind. The tribe fairs well. In fact others have come to live there. No I have not had to cut nor kill anything with my blade. ” He smiled when he heard her call his blade deersticker. It was so very strange and yet he found he liked it.

Osbeth sat down while Knight was talking, her tail wagging back and forth. She grinned. "Then you can spend it with me right? I was soooo bored. That's why I was spinning. I was trying to figure out what to do today." Her mouth made an 'o' shape and she leaned towards Knight. "What are they like? Are the nice? Are they fun to be around?"
She slapped a paw over her mouth and blushed. "Oops. You were wanting to relax. You can't very well do that if I'm asking so many questions huh?" She giggled as yet another question had popped out. The vixen pointed at the blade. "Then what good is carrying it if you haven't had to use it?"

Spinning to stave off boredom? Well it seemed better than talking aloud to one’s self. That much was certain. “I don’t see why not Miss Osbeth. I rather enjoy spending time with you.” He chuckled to himself at her barrage of questions and then her attempt to stop. She seemed so happy and hyper. Though her questions were normal he supposed since she didn’t know the other members of his tribe. “Well now let’s see. My tribe is growing larger. My elder had little ones and there were a few large feathered additions to the tribe. You need not mind such questions. I will always heed your words and try to come up with a answer for you Miss Osbeth. I find your voice soothing and so I am relaxed.” He looked from his blade up to her. He decided to joke a bit.“Why to impress you Miss Osbeth.”

Osbeth snorted. "Like you need that to impress me." Her tail wagged a little happier though, whether that he actually wanted to impress her or because he was joking she didn't know. And he was wanting to spend the day with her!
"Feathered additions? Are they nice?" Osbeth tried to imagine what such creatures looked like. Were they something just for tribes? She had never been in one or near one to know. But that was the beauty of imagination though....right?
The vixen gave a cheeky grin. "And if you can't come up with the answer?"

Knight couldn’t help but grin at Miss Osbeth’s cheekiness. She was a vixen with a voice that demanded to be heard no matter what the occasion. Knight found that he rather enjoyed that aspect of her. She always had a like or dislike there was never any wishy washy attitude from her.
“Yes feathered additions. They appear to be friends of my elders and live in the tribe’s land. I am certain that they will be ‘offically’ joining the tribe anytime now. In truth I do not know if they are kind or not. I have only seen them from a distance. One is a large red male and the other is a dark blue female.” Knight thought for a moment on her last question. “Should that be the case I will make up an answer or change the topic. ”

Osbeth laughed. "So what you're saying is you have an answer for everything?" She then pouted. "How cruel of you to tell fibs Sir Knight. I did not think a kind and noble fox such as yourself would do such a thing."
Osbeth stood up and turned in a circle once before looking back at her companion for the day. "What shall we do Sir Knight? Surely there is something you want to do since it is your day off." Knight made tribe life seem so wonderful and fun; but was it really?

“Not everything just a few things here and there.” Knight winked at her. “I may be cruel but you know I have no intention of being cruel to you. I would only shield you from pain if I could Miss Osbeth.” Knight never claimed to be noble or pure, but Miss Osbeth seemed to think he was so he would protect her if he could.
Knight wondered what he should do with Miss Osbeth. He was off tribe lands now so it wasn’t as though he could show her around, still he hadn’t lived on tribe lands all his life. He was certain he could come up with something to do. “While this area is unfamiliar to me so perhaps we might start with a walk to explore and see what springs to mind from there. Is such acceptable to you Miss Osbeth? ”

Osbeth blinked as her face started feeling warm and her chest thumped briefly. What was that odd sensation? She wasn't getting sick was she? It'd be just perfect on the day she could spend with Knight that she would come down with something. She grinned and nudged Knight playfully. "There you go again, with your fancy words."
She put a mock serious look on her face and nodded. "That would be perfectly acceptable Sir Knight. A splendid idea." Osbeth giggled, breaking her act. No wonder Knight talked the way he did. It was fun.

“Fancy words Miss Osbeth? I don’t know what you are talking about.” He gave her a small smile as he started to walk. He gave a gesturing sweep of his tail to have Miss Osbeth come up to walk with him. Taking a glance up at the trees he noticed a few small squirrels that were fleeing from the sight of the two foxes taking a walk.
“You know that there are few squirrels perhaps we could catch one or two? So long as we are careful not to get bitten perhaps we could release them and see which one flees the fastest. I do not think we could keep such sport up for long… provided of course we could catch them in the first place. ”

Osbeth stuck her tongue out at Knight. "You know what I'm talking about mister." She walked silently besides the other fox, at least, until he mentioned the sport. She wrinkled her nose. "That is just too cruel. How'd you feel if you were in their shoes? They'd probably die of a heart attack when we let them go instead of running."
Really. Catching squirrels and letting them go. And Knight thought that would be fun? How absurd! No animal should be caught unless they were to be a meal.
