User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. She'd been teaching today, to a class of young mortals. Not all children, but all of them rather young. Music greatly enjoyed doing such - she loved mortals, and seemed to love the young ones even more so.

Such curiosity, such open minds. Bright little flames that burned so quicky...

Through, eventually, everything had to come to an end. The young ones left to go back to their families, and Echo was preparing to return to hers, shifting back into herself from the more simple, wingless, more mortal-like form she'd taken for ease of lessons.

Music still wasn't used to being somewhat intimidating.

User ImageGlyph had been wandering about the Pantheon after his conversation with Karaskis, the name of Forge constantly on his lips as he searched. No one had thus far even known the name of the host, let alone known Forge had returned to them.

A gaggle of children running and laughing from one direction drew his attention and he waved to them, enthused as always by their vigor and curiosity. "Where are you coming from?" He asked, dropping into a kneel to speak to one little girl who nearly ran into him as she peeled off from the group.

"Music lessons!" She chirruped most cheerfully then laughed and spun away, making Glyph think of some sort of fae dancing in the wind.

Smiling to himself, he stood and made his way through the stragglers towards the room they'd come from. The chime of music wafted out and his ears perked as he felt a divine presence. After his encounters with Gate and Two's Gems, he'd found himself paying more attention to such auras of power... relying more on a sixth sense then on sight and hearing alone.

Lingering in the doorway, he knocked then had to step out of the way as one last straggler bounded out and laughed at the beat the young man was enthusiastically pounding out on his home-made drum. "Excuse me?" He spoke, lifting his voice so as to be noticed, "I'm Glyph, Forest. Do you have a moment? I'm looking for someone..."

He'd never actually met Music in person - had spoken with her husband on several occasions, had even played with her children, but no face-to-face time had yet been enjoyed. For Underworld to fall for someone, he was certain she must be a remarkable individual.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Glyph's approach hadn't surprised the goddess - she had heard his steps, his breathing, long before he finally decided to speak - and turned to look at him fully when that did finally happen.

"Of course." The lesson was done - she certainly had no reason to turn anyone so polite back on his way. She had heard of Forest, through never met him directly.

"Who it is that you seek ?" She asked, settling back into the large chair at the back of the room and inviting him to come sit at her side.

User ImageHe gave a bob of his head in thanks as he entered the room properly and moved to sit beside her, his gaze playing over the room, imagining the laughter and attention Echo was likely to command in the youths she was teaching. A serene scene, really, and one the children could boast about, even carry their stories into legend as the generation that was taught by gods directly. Perhaps he ought to take up giving lessons as well... stewardship of the forest was a skill that everyone needed to know, as far as he was concerned - how to get what you needed, where and when to do so, how to avoid danger or harm to both the forest and themselves.... the list was very nearly endless.

He tucked the thought away for later appraisal before crossing one leg over the other, "Mnn..." He sighed and looked at her, a mildly frustrated expression creasing his brow, "I've been looking for one named Chalybis - Forge. Or her Host by the name of Danielle. Fire mentioned her when we were conversing last and I had hoped to seek her out as an ally - the Council is moving in the hopes of restoring lost knowledge and skill." He smiled, "And in turn, change that knowledge and skill into a means to face the Grigori. Obviously Forge's assistance in this would be valuable."

He smiled hopefully, ears pricking forward a little, "Have you seen her at all?"

The name was repeated, and the goddess turned pensive - brow furrowing slighty. Forge, forge...

Every sound seemed to catch Music's awareness, given how her ears tilted into the direction of each of them, through she did not seem distracted.

That sounded familiar....

Ah !

"I remember... A long time ago. I have met her host. She... They.... gave me a mirror." A mirror that had been lost, broken, along with her old home during the time of Decay. "I was... as you are now. Before Gehenna." How long before ? She couldn't seem to recall.

"They gave me the mirror and then left. Then... I never saw either goddess nor host again." That was worrying, really.

Like Panacea...

User ImageGlyph perked when Echo thought over the name and remember seeing the host. "Oh! Wh-" His question was cut off as she continued, however, and his ears drooped in an expressive show of disappointment.

Missing.

That seemed to be the theme of the day. Sighing, he puffed out his cheeks as he thought over what he'd learned thus far. "Do you still have the mirror? Maybe I can use something of it to track her down... there must be a way to find her. Nobody else knows the name, let alone have met her - that I've talked to, anyway."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."No..." Her ears drooped slightly. "I used to live outside the pantheon, among mortals... The mirror was in my old home, and... That house collapsed due to Decay's influence. I found nothing of it when I did go back..." She sighed.

"Try to look among the older gods..." That was an odd thought. That she now officially stood among the firsts to be given rebirth. "It sounds like she's been missing for awhile, from what you are telling me." How long ?

She didn't know. Her own meeting with the girl-who-would-been-Forge had been brief.

User Image"Oh... that's unfortunate." Glyph frowned as his one lead was shattered by Gehenna. It had destroyed so much... he shook his head, it would likely be unwise to consider all that had been lost.

"The older gods?" He arched a brow, a grin playing across his lips, "Who might that be? Besides the Crown, of course. Nearly everyone I know gained their Hosts long before I did." That made him among the youngest didn't it? Amusing thought, that.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Hmmmm..." The goddess turned pensive, trying to think up names - not only that, but names she knew were still around.

Hm.

"There is Beryl... but I haven't seen her in so long." She sighed. "Eamnon, maybe. Revei might know something, but..." But she hadn't seen him in so long, had no idea how he fared after the last time she'd seen him. She ought to ask Endiovar about that. "Illumin, too. They were the ones that were at least some point of their rebirths when I was a gem. There were more, but I don't know them as well, even now. Some I've never even seen."

She really was among the firsts. How strange to think about in this way...

"Then from there... Nergal, Calico, Kishara... Panacea." Her heart ached, and ears dropped by. "Through I fear she is lost as well... Oh !" Suddenly it occurred to her.

"Rio ! Rio might know." He knew so many of the reborns, even more than her it seemed.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 9:08 pm

User ImageOnly a few names rang a bell for Glyph as Echo listed them off and he mentally tucked the list away. "I haven't seen Nergal since we were elected... which worries me, your husband is not one to neglect duties." Glyph murmured, toying with his star thoughtfully.

"My Host knew one of Eamnon's servants, they met when he was traveling to the Pantheon via Hunt's wood. I should probably find him. Illumin too, I have gone too long without contact." Mention of Kishara made him wince and he looked down, ears drawing back as he sighed. Gaia had been someone he'd wished to see for a very long time but she'd exiled herself to her rooms after her injury and none had seen her since.

"Rio? I suppose I could ask him as well!" Glyph looked up, smiling again, "If you see Nergal, please tell him to come find me? I seem to have been placed at the head of the Council since I'm organizing things and I greatly need to speak with him."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Im... not so sure what's going on, actually." Echo had to admit. "I haven't seen him since then, myself..." It might have sounded like an hard admission, but it wasn't. "I will make sure to let him know, through."

She was used to it, now, and well... had learned not to emotionally depend on her husband as much as she once had.

"...If you hear something of Panacea in your search, could you tell me ?" She asked. "We... were friends, before she vanished. I miss her."

Would Medicine even recognize her now ? Would they be too different to reconnect ? And mostly... was Panacea still alive, as she'd been in space when Universe had come undone ?

User Image"Thank-you, I appreciate it. He didn't come when I called the Council together. His strength would be of benefit to us all - but he needs to actually be present for such things." There was criticism in his tone as he spoke, justified displeasure with Underworld for his disappearance. Forest was also prone to long absences but he was making a point of staying near to the Pantheon, if not actually in it and he was not a creature who much enjoyed being boxed in anywhere.

"Panacaea?" He repeated the name a few times then nodded, "Is she a Goddess or a Mortal? I will be sure to keep an ear out for her as well. It seems a lot have gone missing, Gehenna is likely to blame, I'm afraid. Frustrating." Glyph sighed.

"If that's all, I think I'll take my leave, Lady. If you remember anything else, please contact my Aoide? I would greatly appreciate it!"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I know that. I'd apologize, but..." She sighed. That was Nergal, alright, but... perhaps he shouldn't have offered, if he knew that he would be absent.

But, the consequences wouldn't be her's to bear. And... she couldn't always justify him. She loved Underworld, deeply, but... Even she did tire of mending the broken pieces left in his wake, at times.

"Maybe Ankou would be willing to assist, if Nergal for some reason cannot ? Or... I will gladly help you with anything you might need, through my powers are... indeed very different then either of their's."

Ankou would probably be more useful for certain purposes, as she would be for others.

"Panacea is a goddess. Medicine. I wish I could say my motives are self-less and for the good of us all, but... It's not completely that. We... We were stones together. We changed together. Then she left when Creation first shifted into Destruction... and I have never seen her again. Last I knew..." Her voice wavered. "...She was in space. I fear..."

She didn't need to spell out what she feared, didn't she ?

"I will look out for what I can here." She nodded. "Where can I find the aoidei ?"
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2012 7:54 pm

User Image"You don't apologize. You're not responsible for his actions." Glyph replied immediately, shaking his head. Still, if they didn't hear from Nergal... it would be problematic and they'd have to address that issue in addition to everything else. There were others among the gods who had expressed interest in having a seat on the Council.

He gave a thoughtful shrug, "I'd been hoping to ask the denizens of the Underworld for their wisdom - there's only so much physical that remains on the material planes. And while the dead suffer their own problems, there is wisdom yet there we could access." No lord of the dead, however, meant less control of the dead. "Perhaps Ankou could help, yes, and unless you can aid the search of the knowledge the dead hold then I'm afraid your songs may not be helpful."

Glyph sighed again, shaking his head. If Medicine was in space when Universe fell... then it would be quite possible she was lost. He bit his lip, "I will look for her, my friend. You can find the Aoidei behind the door with the golden woods, beside the door carved with Teldrassil, though I'm sure Xun's Aoidei would also help pass long word." He smiled at that.
