Living with Diana, for however long she would have the kitten, was proving to be quite useful. The little ball of fur knew much more about senshi life and history than anyone Midas knew (apart, perhaps, from Chibi Moon) and she was learning more at home from grueling QnAs than she was on the streets.

Like all about these magical crystals.

Normally it would have been a tidbit that she stored in the back of her mind but as soon as Diana started babbling about them, Midas was reminded of a little shop downtown that had advertised their own brand of 'magic crystals'.

There wasn't much to the place. It was a little hole in the wall next to one of her favorite retro boutiques, but it had that air of mystery that came with old shops built on unique items. There was a little sign above the door that swung with the cold breeze, bearing the name 'Windam's Wonders' in cracked, old red paint. The display window next to the entrance held the very things that Midas had come to see: three crystals, each a different color, sitting on top of a velvet drapery.

It was a long shot, but the information board next to them claimed all kinds of magical healing powers were capable with the 'gems from a lost kingdom'. If even one of them was real it would be worth it, but how did she get to them?

The senshi walked the length of the window and back, her heels clicking against the pavement beneath them. She reached out and jiggled the old door handle without luck, giving it a good shake in case it just popped open. With no luck through the door, she took a step back and leaned into a lamp post just outside.

Her target now was the window, but a tiny voice inside her was raging a debate: Was it really ethical to bust this down just to examine them?
