Day 1
If I were really, really poor- I mean just deadarse broke- and had nowhere to go, no money, and no family or friends that would take me in, I'd be a criminal.
"But Furr! Being a criminal is wrong!" You say? Or is it? Let's just take this into consideration for a moment: Does stealing a car, and sticking up a bank, classify as a wrongdoing or an inconvience? See, because I'm not a moron, I'd abandon the car relatively quickly anyway. Probably not even that far from where I stole it. This would be returned to it's owner, more than likely, and therefore be only an inconvinience to him or her. As for the bank, which would lose a token amount of cash, they're probably ridiculously insured, or just so damned loaded in the first place, it would be like taking a single strand of hair off of my head. They would continue to do business, as usual, with yet again another moderate inconvience. So! Coming to the conclusion that this is really just an inconvinience for the sake of SAVING MY LIFE, I'd be all over it. That would solve my problem for a time, and possibly even get me back to my feet, if I were real slick and got away with it...
"But but but, what if they caught you, Furr!" So what? I was homeless, dirty, and starving anyway. Hell, if they caught me sticking up a bank, I'd surrender with only enough noise to convince them that I cared about getting away. Then, with all damning evidence against me, I'd plead innocent with the most craptastic lawyer I could aquire. I'd either get the stupidest jury ever, and get off (only to repeat the whole process above in another state *beam!*), or they'd have a collective brain, and put me in jail. Has anyone noticed the living conditions in jail lately? Jail provides you three squares, shelter, clothing, healthcare, hygene products, and various forms of entertainment. That noted... has anyone been to a homeless shelter lately? I guarantee you it is NOT as pretty a picture as the jail. A few years of jail is, by far, the better option. The only real con, would be the possibility of Big Bertha deciding you were her new plaything, but really... what's going to happen to you if you're homeless anyway? Chances are, you'll encounter much worse than Bertha.
It's a win-win situation, if you're honestly looking to survive.
Wrap your brains around that, ickle kiddies! This has been Dissertation 1.

But other people put THEIR miney in the bank, so tat would be hurting them too. Stealing is still teh badness. If you wanna go to jail, kick a police officer.

Actually, bank accounts are usually insured by the bank you put them in. I'd say "always", but I'd have to research that. Every bank or credit union I've been into, or looked into, does. I'm one of those weirdos who reads the fine print. So, even if the bank gets robbed, the people who put their money into it, don't suffer for it. They still get back whatever they put into the bank. See.. banks do not just hold the money they get, and then hand it back out. A bank is all about circulating the money they have, in order to gain money. Plus, being their business is money, you can bet the bank itself is heavily insured, too. So. Yeah.

Although they may have insurance, there's no such thing as free money. It all has to come from somewhere. And just cause you've got nothing to lose doesn't justify you selfishly stealing.
Now, what you gotta do, is go rob someone who deserves it. Like all those major league sports stars who make millions of dollars. Them living it up in uber-luxury while you sitting on the street corner isnt right gonk . The bank people never did anything to you, and I guess those greedy jocks never did anything either. But they still deserve a good robbing

And... commit fraud. ::shrug:: Nah, the money's not free, but the bank pays rich insurance companies just for instances like that. The money comes from the rich insurance companies. And insurance people are real f***tards about handing it out anyway, when they can avoid it. Don't ask me what happened to mine and Skoo's cousin when someone hit him, after their car slipped off the road from a patch of ice (there's NEVER ice in louisiana, so nobody knows how to drive on it). Insurance companies deserve screwing over more than the sports stars in my book. scream

the money does have to come somewhere (as enigma says) but my guess it comes from gov. money or the bank... i have no idea what the insurance deal is... i should probably =_= bleh.. anyway...
jail is VERY good.. many people got sex changes and stuff by a trail (somethign to do with the court) and they have better healthcare than most homeless people and such, which is VERY unfair (i was reading about this in readers digest... i feel like a nerd xD )

ALWAYS COMPLAINING ALWAYS COMPLAINING! IF MONEY IS SUCH A PROBLEM THEY WOULD DON'T WE JUST GO AND ROB 'EM! (That was a terrible job at attempting to remember lyrics)

Hahaha, the whole "rich insurance companies" justification reminds me of that one movie, The Ladykillers I beleive it was. Then the character Tom Hanks is playing somehow explains the whole scheme where after they rob the casino boat, it'll all be replaced by the insurance company, and everyone who paid into the company, it somehow works out that he's just taking like one penny from each of them. I still dont quite understand how it works though xp

Some banks will be paying that insurance company for 50 years, and like, never get robbed. So what's the insurance company do? They keep the money! Duh! e.e

It's like I have enough money to pay insurance people to pay PARTIALLY for damages, when really, I could just keep the money and use it myself (and save money that way). But thats only good for car insurance or something. Robbery, it isn't. Stupid laws. Anywhoodles. The insurance people are honest ther way you desribe them. They say that they will help you when bad stuff happens, and if nothing bad happens, their service wasn't required
