 Badele sighed as he laid on his back underneath the hot sun. The heat seemed never ending in this desert but if he really wanted to escape he would have found himself a pride or just a place to live far from here. Not that he wasn't trying, he had just yet to find the right place.
Rolling now onto his belly he cleared his thoughts a bit of that thought. Instead he now let his mind drift to more pressing matters like finding a place to sleep tonight. Earlier in the day he had found a cave that was built into a large mud heap that had dried. It was sturdy and would hold up against the rain should the land happened to be blessed with some drops. Sure long term it probably wouldn't be ideal, but that wasn't the plan.
Standing now he found himself curious to know if anyone had went to the cave and claimed it as theirs. "Only one way to find out." He said to himself as he began his long walk to the south.

 Shujaa disliked the heat. Immensely. Despite the fact that she had been raised in a lightly wooded area, which had grown humid regularly, she had never gotten used to heat, which made walking through the desert even more irritating then normal. Still, she had heard a rumour that someone matching her father's description had been seen out this way, so of course she had had to follow it up. If nothing else, it might lead her to another rumour - hopefully one that led to a cooler climate!
Perhaps her father was living by the beach now? Oooh, that would be lovely, she mused optimistically, but sighed, knowing she probably wasn't going to be that lucky.
Spotting what appeared to be a lump of clay, she paused, eyeing the structure, before realising it had a hole in it. Feeling the sun beating down on her back unpleasantly, she grinned, hurrying closer to it and sniffing. Smelt like a bunch of different animals, but none too fresh. Perfect.
She flopped down, and wiggled into it. She left her back legs and tail out, too overheated to really move further. Not the comfiest place, she mused, flicking her tail sluggishly as she enjoyed the partial shade, but better than full heat.

The blue coated male had easily made his way back to the den he had found just hours before when he had begun his walk. However, now he could smell the fresh scent of what was most certainly lion. Though, he was unsure if it was male or female. Shrugging and deciding to test his luck he ventured closer only to see legs and a tail. A smile came to his maw rather quickly as he realized that the lion he had smelt was in fact female. Maybe it would be his luck! Could it be love?
Not wanting to waste another moment second guessing Bandele gathered up his voice in his chest. "Hello there." He said plainly, but with some hint of kindness and gentleness mixed into it. "Seems you have made your way into my den." Bandele said only to mentally hit himself afterwards. He didn't want her to leave! Oh by all the gods, he was a fool. But what more could he say, to save this situation? It was highly likely he would say something of opposite nature anyways. Deciding it was best to be quiet and let her take it as she will Bandele sat down and waited.
