Kokoi and Mr. Prince had began the journey on their quest to find a true princess. They'd walked for long, and Kokoi, being he one who took care of most the walking, was getting tired. And hungry. "I want s'mores!""I don't have any! Where'd you think I'd keep them? In my nonexisting fancy pants?""Well... Can I have some tea then?" The frog sighed, and she figured he probably didn't have that in his pants either.
She kept walking untill she got to a cute little park where there was a carou selling balloons and candy in an adorable little cart. "Mr. Prince! Mr. Prince! Can we get some? Please please please!""-sigh- We don't have any money, dummy.""But... You're a prince. Don't they have lots of money?""Oh my, i guess you're right! Looks like I left all my riches in my other pair of nonexisting pants. What a tradegy.""But I'm hungry...""Well then you shouldn't be eating sweets either way! What a favor I'm doing you, and all this without even trying. Am I not just stunning? Eat grass or something, so much healthier.""I'm NOT eating grass! And I'm not moving any further either! If you don't get me food soon, you'll have to find that princess on your own!" Kokoi sat down on the ground, grumpy as ever. The frog started pulling her hair, trying to get her to move, but it was no use. Her mind was set."Well, then I won't make you a princess either!""Fine!""FINE!"He hopped down and sat in the grass beside her, arms crossed and chin up in the air. And there they sat, refusing to speak to eachother.

Velveteen had been calmly strolling one of the few Carou Towns when she'd heard the ruckus--A young lioness and what appeared to be a talking frog, arguing with each other. Certainly, it was an unusual sight, but what bothered the tigress was how obnoxiously loud they were being. Their little tiff was disruptive to the others who were enjoying the park! And Velveteen sighed, shaking her head at this. A young lady shouldn't be acting like this!
In fluid stride, Velveteen walked over to the pair with head held high. She cleared her throat to announce her presence and began to speak to the two: "If I may point out, you are both being rudely...expressive. Your row is clouding up this little park, and I would suggest you lower your voices or take your fight elsewhere."

Kokoi looked up at the pretty tigress, unable to understand barely a word. It was almost like a foreign language, she thought, but without the fun accents.
"Why excuse me miss, but I clearly am not the troublesome being. Cubs these days are apparently not taught manners, to what it seems." The frog glared at the little lion for a moment then quickly looked away.
Now her little head felt all messed up. Was the prince speaking this language too? Why didn't she understand it? Maybe because she wasn't royal... WAIT! Does that mean...? "A PRINCESS!" "WHERE? WHERE!?" "THERE!" She pointed out the tigress before them.

Velveteen stared down at the frog, frowning just a bit at his response. "Acting just as immature only begets more immaturity--I do not happen to see you acting like an adult, shouting and pouting like you have," she stated firmly and was prepared to scold him more when Kokoi certainly shouted out. Taken back by the sudden noise, Velveteen stood up and stepped back once. Eyes wide, her gaze followed Kokoi's paw and realize that she was pointing at...her?
"I beg you pardon?" Velveteen began, confused as to what was happening now. Did the Lioness call her...a princess? While it was flattering, she felt something else had brought it up. "Please lower your paw--It is unladylike to point so blatantly," she said calmly. In the back of her mind she began to wonder if she should leave...

Mr. Prince hopped up on Kokoi's head and glared at the lioness in fury. "How DARE you address my royal self in such a manner!?" He looked at her again, from head to toe then back again. "Are you sure you are a princess?"Kokoi looked at her paw and put it down, not sure what she did wrong. Wit her short attention span, she'd already forgotten she was mad at the frog. She only had room for one thing on her mind at a time, and right now, it was the potential kisser before her. "Where's your tiara? Don't you have any escorts? Do you have candy? Can I have some?"

My! This impudent frog was sitting on a rather high horse, wasn't he! Well, metaphorically. His 'royal self'? That was a laugh; not that she'd do so...and again with this princess business? Velveteen was then bombarded by Kokoi's questions before she could say anything else. She blinked a few times, but managed to process all these questions in accordingly:
"I do not have a tiara as I do not see the need for one.
Neither do I require any escorts.
No, I do not have any candy little one.
It's 'May I', not 'Can I'...And do remember to say please, and I shall consider it." Velveteen had absolutely no idea why she was asking all these questions. But if she did, she would definitely be running right about now.

Little Kokoi tilted her head a slight. Somehow, all this felt so familiar. She was already forgetting her nanny's manner lessons, sucked into the adventure. But one thing she did understand was that this lady didn't have any candy for her. She also understood that she must be a princess. Or atleast that what she thought. "Are you married? Where's your castle? Can we go there? Oh please, please, please! Can we?" She looked up a the little frog."-sigh- Fine. But only a quicky, dearest. Want to get back to mine own as soon as possible after we're done.""Okaaaaay. Do you have candy there? Do you? Or tea! Wait, what if she wants to marry you? Will it be your castle too then? Will it?"

What--Castle? Velveteen thought back to when Kokoi shouting out 'Princess' at her, and things began to click together. She had to end this confusion quickly! Especially after that remark about marrying the...frog gentleman. And so the tigress shook her head, "You are very mistaken! I don't have a castle, I'm not married, and I won't marry your...friend. I'm sorry, but I'm not a princess." She drawled out the marrying comment a tad, stifling a shudder. It would have been rude to do, despite whatever sort of germs a mucus-covered, ground-rolling frog could be carrying.
She sighed a bit, before continuing on: "I am Miss Velveteen...And if you need a place to rest for a while, I will be happy to show you to my home," she stated, "it is not far from here...and I would like to point out that the two of you seem a tad weathered." Oh how she wanted to scrub little Kokoi down with some soap...! How long had they been traveling...?

"What you mean NOT a princess!? YOU LIED TO ME! How rude!" The frog turned his back at her while muttering something about 'peasants these days'."Are you sure you're not a princess? You look like one." Kokoi looked up at the grumpy little frog on her head. "Maybe she hit her head? Maybe she frogot she's a princess? Ooooh, maybe she's under a spell too!"he turned over again and looked down at the little lion and then back to the trigress. "Really? You think so?""Uh-huh!""Splendid!"
The prince made a little leap of joy into the air. "Well, I suppose there's only one way to find out..." And so he leaned towards Miss Velveteen with big, pouty, slimey lips.

"Lied? Excuse me, but I never said I WAS a Princess...!" Velveteen insisted, getting a little frustrated at this point. There was nothing she could say that would get through to these two--and as much as she'd hate to say it, but they were both nuts. So the tigress sighed and began to say, "Nevermind. I'll be taking my leave no--!" OH GOD. WHAT WAS THE FROG--WHY WAS...! Her fur stood on end almost instantly, her muscles tensing up. "I will not kiss you!" Velveteen insisted, backing away. 'Oh god, no. Germs. IT HAS GERMS. GET IT AWAY FROM ME.'

"WHAT!? How rude! Here I am, risking my very own dignity to kiss YOU who may very well be a mere peasant! I am VERY offended!" He huffed and turned over, arms crossedKokoi looked at Velveteen, tilting her head so that the frog almost fell off. "But you do have food, right? ...Right?"Getting back in to where he sat, the prince facepalmed. "That is NOT important!"

Contradictory to the only slightly frazzled face Velveteen was keeping up, she practically wanted to tear her fur out on the inside--The frog's...lips, had been far too close to touching her! But at least his royal 'germliness' had backed off, and the tigress could feel herself calming down again. What was with these two? she had to wonder, 'All this talk about princes and such. Though, it would be rude of me to just turn them away after offering a place to rest...' She let out a sigh, "Yes, there is food at my home. I do believe you two could use some quiet time to calm down--I'll lead the way."
She turned and did just that, heading towards the forest. "You two never did mention your names," she commented, "It is proper for one to introduce themselves after another has done so..."

The little lion got up, ready to follow what she already considered her new friend. "Oh! I'm Kokoi, and this is my friend, Mr. Prince. We're on an adenture!""You're not my "friend", you're my servant!" The frog huffed."I told you it's the same thing..."
