Click to show. Before the sky had come back, Akakios had mostly spent all of his time in the library, helping out with anything he could - which mostly meant transcription - until Endiovar kicked him out so he could go 'play' for a bit, or his mother or siblings came looking for him.

With the return of the sky, well... The young god had become less punctual. Sure, he always came, but no longer like clockwork, as he was often lured outside to enjoy the garden, it's bounties, and the sky he had only barely known before it had been taken away, in an event he would probably never be able to forget.

"Endi ?" He made his way in, pausing to take another bite of the peach he was holding. There were others in the basket he carried - lunch. "Alaska ?"

Uh.

Maybe they hadn't come around yet ? Oh well, he might as well get started...

These days, Idhren spent more time away from the Library than she spent within. It occasionally filled her with a kind of regret, as she had spent much of her life within the walls of one library or another. Indeed, for a while, she had made her home here. But that had changed, like everything else. She pushed a strand of blonde hair behind one ear with a sigh. No use dwelling on that. There was more than enough to occupy her in the present.

Such as the relatively minor mystery of who else had been working at organizing the Library. It was probably not something immediately obvious, but Idhren was more than capable of noticing the changes that had been made. Surprisingly, she had never run into anyone else.

That, however, seemed destined to change as she walked by the entrance with a few books in her arms. Hearing a voice, she stopped and headed in that direction. A young boy was standing there, carrying a basket and eating a peach. She made a small noise of disapproval. "Can I help you?" she asked briskly, not having clearly heard him earlier.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.If the young boy noticed any of Idhren's disapproval, he showed none of it. After all, no one else had seemed to mind, as long as he was not eating anywhere near the books.

Still, a new face in the library came as a surprise. Not many people seemed to come here, from what he had seen - just him, Endiovar, his servants and occasionally Akakios' own tiny retinue of two came along to help. Reaching into his basket with his free hand, he offered a peach to the pretty blonde lady that stood in front of him. He had plenty enough to go around !

"Oh, I am looking for Endiovar." He said. "But I think I am a little early... I can just go get started and wait until everyone else shows up. Were you looking for anything ?"

Yes, apparently this tiny, sweet faced child was part of Idhren's mystery.

The elf wrestled for a moment with herself. On the one hand, eating in a library was Bad. On the other, she hadn't had much of a breakfast, since eating first thing in the morning wasn't something she particularly enjoyed. Shifting the books so that they were cradled in one arm instead of both, Idhren reached out and took the offering.

"Thank you," she murmured, not taking a bite just yet. Peaches were slightly messy foods to eat, and she didn't want to get anything on herself, or the books.

"Endiovar?" Her brow wrinkled slightly. "I'm not familiar with the name." She slightly lifted the arm carrying the books. "No, just putting some things away."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."He's Silence." She would know about gods if she came here, right ? At least it was an easy enough assumption to make, and the one Lament settled on instantaneously. "We are working on restoring the library for Gianfar, so it is all nice and mostly whole once he comes back."

One bite was taken from his own fruit, but the boy seemed careful not to let juice come anywhere near his clothing - and Idhren's books, really. "And I am Akakios. Im Lament."

The little god was clearly on the curious side, and usually offering his name made others do the same.

Silence? Idhren slotted the name and domain away for further consideration later. The elf broke into a smile of approval at learning what brought him to the library. "Oh, that's very nice," she said warmly. "Very nice indeed." Without a keeper, the library had fallen into a state of disrepair similar to the one she'd encountered on first arriving at the Pantheon, years ago. Learning that there were others, in addition to herself, that cared about it's restoration was very welcome news.

She tilted her head to the side slightly, blonde hair falling over the shoulder at the shift. He seemed a bit...young for a god, truthfully. But then, there was no rule that they had to take fully adult hosts.

Idhren, obviously, had no idea any of the reborn gods had been breeding.

"Idhren," she introduced herself. The sleeves of her plain blue dress were practically non-existent and partially see through, enough to see that there was a black rock set in her shoulder. One with bright blue accents.

"Host of Tilion, Lunar."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."It is." He nodded, clearly approving of this. The library had always been one of his favorite places, and the more he got involved with it, the more that fondness did grow.

"Oh, you are an host ?" Well, that made sense. It was mostly gods that came this far into the pantheons. Well, gods and hosts, really. Lunar... The moon ? He had not known the mood had a god.

"How did you decide to take him ?" That was probably nosy, but the question came out before he could really think about it.

She nodded. "Decide?" the elf replied with a small laugh. "I don't think I did much deciding at all," Idhren continued with a fond wave of amusement directed towards Tilion.

"I'm not exactly from around here," she continued slowly, absentmindedly tucking a strand of hair behind an ear that was naturally as pointed as Akakios' own. "But the call of the True Gods is strong enough to reach over any distance." It still made her a little wistful to refer to anyone other than the goddesses of her childhood as the True Gods, but the elf had a flexible enough mind to deal with these sorts of changes. "So I dreamt that I was being called, found my way here, and well." She smiled again and shrugged one shoulder - the one with the rock - before fading into a more serious look. "I found what had been calling me."

She looked curiously at Akakios. "And yourself?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Oh ? Akakios' mouth opened to question this further, but as the elf continued, the young god grew quiet once more. Thankfully, he was past the age of just interrupting others to drown them in questions.

Another world ? That was so exciting ! When she asked her question, however, the young boy tilted his head a bit, as if not comprending what the elf was asking him.

Ah !

"Ah, no." He said, simply, moving to steady his basket against his side. It was heavy, and he only had one free hand to hold it. "Mom and Dad made me. I do not have an host." It was much simpler, really, And less strange.

"What was your world like ?"

Idhren's mouth opened slightly before closing, a faint blush staining her cheeks and, oddly enough, the very tips of her ears. That wasn't what she had been expecting at all, although the information was interesting. In an abstract sort of way. Tilion was trying very hard to stifle his laughter at the elf's reaction, who huffed a bit at him before turning her attention back to Akakios.

"Mm," she started to say, biting her lip after a moment. "Fairly typical, I guess?" She shook her head. "I spent most of my time at the University, teaching, so while I could go into detail about the history of various places, I never really learned that much about anything current."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Thankfully for the elf, the reason of her blushing seemed to happy fly a mile above the young god's head. "Are you alright ?"

...Or maybe not so luckily.

Thankfully, the boy would prove an easy distraction. "I have never seen an university." He admitted, taking another careful bite from his peach. "I would like to. I think Gianfar wanted to make one, but no one knows where he went."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 9:19 pm

"I'm fine," Idhren said after a moment's work brought her blush back under control. It made sense, after all. Still, not really something she'd ever considered - or wanted to consider.

"I miss it," she said softly, looking down at the floor briefly. "I've learned to love it here, especially this library, but." The elf looked wistful. "It was home."

She paused, and tilted her head to the right slightly. "Who's Gianfar?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Homesickness was not something Lament knew of - this was home, and he had never been away from it. "Maybe my uncle could help you find your way back to it."

Hmmm. Maybe.

That she did not know Gianfar... Seemed strange but made sense at the same time. "Gianfar is the god of Knowledge." His peach was done now, and the pit was placed in the basket until he could find some place to properly dispose of it. Or maybe give it to Adi so she could plant it ? More peaches were always a good thing.

"The library is his, but I haven't seen him even since I was really, really, really young." Because he was a big boy now, of course, and his younger days were clearly ages ago. "So Endiovar and me take care of it while he's gone." There was no shortage of pride, there !

She waved her hand. "I've grown used to living here, and while I would like to return," here she sighed and looked down for a moment before raising her head again, "There is simply too much to do here." Idhren offered a one-shouldered shrug; she was entirely used to sacrificing her own desires to serve others.

An eyebrow arched slightly upward at the revelation of Gianfar's domain. Knowledge? That explained a little; perhaps this deity was like Idhren, or one of her colleagues from back home - absent-minded professors, the lot. Entirely too used to living within their own heads, and prone to forgetting that the rest of the world existed. "That's a very worthy task," she replied solemnly. As she was about to question Akakios regarding Endiovar, an annoyed looking catgirl came striding into the Library. "I was just getting ready to leave," Idhren said preemptively as an attempt at forestalling whatever lecture was bound to come spilling from the Aoide's open mouth.

Temis clicked her mouth shut with an almost audible sigh of regret. "Good," she replied instead, bowing respectfully to Akakios before tapping one foot impatiently at Idhren.

"Yes, yes," the elf said, offering a small half grin. "It seems as though it's time for me to eat," she said to the young godling, offering a wave as Temis escorted her out; the Aoide was clearly moments from grabbing the woman's arm and dragging her out. "A pleasure to meet you!"
