[ Settings and Places ]x. Main Setting Wormwood High School It looks neat like that. Enough said. -lazy- x. Within the School The LibraryThe Library is first and foremost a place for students to spend their Study Hall in. The Library is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. This gives students plenty of opportunity to study for tests in a quiet environment, even outside regular school hours. The Pool, Track, Football/Soccer Field, and Gymnasium All of the Sports Centers, like the Library, are open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. This gives the more athletic students time to train and do general exercise activities. Sports Centers are also open during certain Events, which are announced well ahead of time. The ParkWormwood High School does not have a playground, but does have an extensive Park and Garden area. The Park and Garden are also open for the extended hours of 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. The CafeteriaThe Cafeteria is where students can spend their lunches. Students can purchase a wide variety of foods, and can choose to sit indoors or outdoors in the Courtyard. The Cafeteria is open from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. x. Outside Settings Buttercup CafeButtercup Cafe is a cyber cafe set in the heart of downtown Wormwood. The majority of the Cafe's clientele are students from Wormwood High School. The cafe caters to the younger generation, and can always be found playing the latest music. The Cafe has computers available for use, as well as stations for students to set up their own laptops. The atmosphere is always light and bubbly, and is argued to be the most popular and best place to unwind after a long day at school. Some of the students even work in the cafe to earn themselves spending money. Archie's ArcadeArchie's Arcade is an Arcade with numerous types of games. Tokens can be purchased and tickets can be won, which can be exchanged for prizes. There is also a snack counter, where snacks and drinks can be purchased, with a small eating area. x. Misc. Anyone can create a miscellaneous setting. The above settings are the concrete settings we have chosen for people to use, but feel free to make up any other places.

Alright guys, so basically what I'm gonna do in my first post is this:
It's gonna be the first day of school after Summer Break. Liv will "call roll" and do the typical, "Okay guys, we're gonna go around the room and I want everyone to tell a little about themselves," kind of thing.
There doesn't need to be any kind of order for this. This is just so everyone can get in an intro post for their characters. After that, I'm still trying to determine exactly what we're gonna do.... XD;;
If you have any suggestions, please feel free to PM me about them!
Furthermore, I had this idea:
Since we have two different classes in one, Juniors and Seniors, I thought time periods could sort of be divided. This way, people will be able to group off if they like. Of course we don't have to do every aspect of every day constantly, but this gives people a chance to kind of say, "Okay right now we'll goof off in Study Hall," or something. I mean I'm certainly not gonna come up with lesson plans or anything to actually teach you guys....eff that! Haha.
I figured it could go like this:
x.7:45am - 7:55am (5 minutes for people to switch) Homeroom
x.8:00am - 9:30am (5-minute break at 9:30) Seniors- Class Juniors- Study Hall (in the Library)
x.9:35am - 11:05am Seniors- Class Juniors- Gym
x.11:05am - 12:05pm Lunch for both classes
x.12:05pm - 1:35pm (5 minute break at 1:35) Seniors - Study Hall (in the Library) Juniors - Class
x.1:40pm - 2:10pm (5 minute break at 2:10) Seniors - Gym Juniors - Class
x.2:15pm - 3:00pm Art or Music for both classes
x. During Class time, Liv teaches students a variety of subjects, from Math and English, to History and Science.
x. During Lunch time, students have the option to eat in the cafeteria or go off grounds for lunch.
x. During Study Hall time, students are supposed to be in the library studying for tests or working on homework. There is also a computer lab and other resources available.

It was the beginning of August, and the sun was shining brightly across the beautifully landscaped school grounds. Summer vacation was over, and the students were returning to Wormwood High. The little Freshmen were wandering around nervously, trying to find their classrooms, while the older students were relaxed, chatting with friends they hadn't seen all summer. The Junior and Senior classes were record small this year, and had been lumped together for the first time. As the warning bell rang out across the school, students separated from their friends to head to their classrooms.
In the Junior-Senior Homeroom, the young, sprightly teacher Miss Liv was scrawling her name across the chalkboard in large, curled, and bubbly cursive handwriting. She was dressed to impress for the first day of school as she stood atop a step-ladder so she could reach the top of the board. Her long, curled, golden locks cascaded down her back, dotted with sweet baby's breath and small, bright blue wildflowers. Her arms and legs were left barren to reveal her gently sun-kissed skin, a rather short, forest colored skirt hanging low on her hips. Her midriff was slightly visible between the top of her skirt and the bottom of her sleeveless, corseted, brown, yellow, and green top. The neckline of her top was a plunging V, leaving her perky, decently-sized chest bulging over the top, pushed together to show copious amounts of cleavage. On her feet she wore strappy flat sandals which matched her outfit well. Her favorite accessory, which was always around her right thigh, was a bowed, frilled, and flowered garter.
As students filed in, they were probably getting a great view of her from behind, the height of the step-ladder and the short length of her skirt making a perfect, revealing combination. Miss Liv was certainly not oblivious to her nature, as the students would soon find out. It was a wonder how she came to be employed there, allowed to break so many dress code rules. Not only that, but she was even young for a teacher; Not that she wasn't completely qualified, because she had all the necessary degrees to teach her students.
Kicking up one of her heals she admired her name on the board with a small squeal, before bouncing down from the step-ladder. Her chest bounced along with her, and she trotted to the corner, tucking away the ladder for later, should she need it again. As the second bell rang, Liv turned to face the class, expecting everyone to be in their seats by that time. Clasping her hands gleefully, she looked at them all with bright, sparkling blue eyes.
"Ooohhh~ Welcome, students~" she giggled happily, "Are you all excited for your first day of school? Juniors and Seniors, together! How fun this year will be~"
Moving to her desk, Miss Liv hopped up on it, sitting on the front side. She kicked her legs a little before crossing them delicately, "As you can see on the board, my name is Miss Liv~ I will be your teacher for the whole school year. I do hope we can become the best of friends~"
She surveyed her students, taking particular time to linger on the young men in the class, looking them up and down as she batted her long, curled eyelashes, "Alright, let's get started! We'll go around the room and have everyone introduce themselves, shall we~? And do tells us some fun fact about yourself, as well as what your Summer Vacation was like, hm~?"
Liv pulled a flower from who knows where and used it as a pointer, addressing each student in turn, her eyes wide with rapture as she listened to each little anecdote and fun fact.
Ricky hadn't taken any notice of Miss Liv when he first walked into the classroom; He was far too busy being in the spotlight, chatting up the other students. He was still as popular as ever, and this year he was at the top of the school now that he was a Senior. He was lounging cooly in his chair as he socialized with them, dressed in his usual mix of athletic and punk clothing. His strong, athletic arms were revealed as he wore a sleeveless sports shirt. His favorite color combination was black and red, so naturally on the first day of school, he was dressed just so, his black pants riding on his hips with a studded belt keeping them in place. His casual skater shoes would later be traded for his running sneakers, but for now he wore them loosely on his feet. His jet black hair was still damp after his morning shower, which he took at the same time every morning, right after his mile run, which he ran at the same time as well. His eyes were a deep red, but were bright with energy and vigor.
As Liv began to address the class, Ricky quieted and watched her with interest, one eyebrow quirked at her strange behavior. He had to admit that she was one of the youngest, most gorgeous teachers he had ever seen, but he couldn't help but wonder, as so many others probably did, how she got the job. Were they really letting her wear those clothes like that? At least it was guaranteed, as she said, to be a fun and interesting year. He watched as several students before him introduced themselves, telling their tales of Summer Days long gone now. His large, wolf-like ears twitched here and there as he listened, and he raised one hand to his right ear, rubbing at it gently. He had several silver piercings in that ear, which shined a little as they hit the light.
When it was finally his turn to introduce himself, he grinned and leaned back in his chair nonchalantly, "I don't really think I need to tell everyone who I am, but if I must...My name is Ricky, I'm 17, and Captain of the Track Team. This Summer I trained with a former Olympic Runner...I know, I know," he waved his hand dismissively as everyone oohed and aahed, but his tail was quietly and happily wagging behind him.
"Hopefully this year will be as great as the last, right?" he grinned at everyone, exuding confidence and slight social power and control, "Who's next?"
Rey busted through the door just as Ricky finished his introduction. He looked around at everyone from behind his jet black sunglasses. He wasn't even carrying any kind of bag or books, obviously unprepared for school. His hands were stuffed in the pockets of his worn, leather jacket. Underneath he wore a tight-fitting, light-colored tank, which showed off his toned torso. His tan pants were tight-fitted, hugging him in all the right places. His pants tucked into mid-calf biker boots, and belts hung loose around his hips. The slight smell of a good cigarette clung to him, as he had just finished the last one he would have for several hours.
"Oh, Mr. Clowes~ How nice of you to join us~" Liv cooed. She obviously already knew the young man, "Come in, come on~ Have a seat. And you can go next, since you've interrupted~"
Rey grimaced at the familiar sight of Miss Liv, his pointed canine teeth showing themselves. His large fox ears flattened for a moment with slight irritation as he watched her. His messy bangs fell around his face, the rest of his shoulder-length, reddish-brown hair pulled back in a thin ponytail at the base of his neck. He flicked his bushy but sleek, red fox tail before trudging to take up the empty seat. He couldn't believe he was back already; The Summer had been incredibly short in his opinion.
With an expectant batting of the eyelashes from Liv, Rey reluctantly began his introduction, "The name's Rey. I'm 19, and this Summer I worked, like any respectable person should do. Satisfied, Teach?"

Austin sat quietly in his seat, completely absorbed in his reading. After the first few students began introducing themselves, he closed his book and put it away, listening with great attention. After Rey introduced himself, Austin quietly got up, his long tail flicking back and forth.
“If I may, Miss?” He gave Miss Liv a polite smile before clearing his throat. “My name is Austin. I'm sure some of you remember me from last year. My hobbies include gardening and brewing tea and, as a result of that, I've ended up as the president of the Tea Club. My summer was good. I didn't go anywhere, but I did spent time in my mother's garden, which is fine for me.” He smiled again as he finished his introduction. Just as he was about to sit down, the door slammed open. Aella ran into the room, completely put of breath. Dragging behind her was a girl with long black hair and black clothing.
“Sorry we're late, Miss! I overslept!” She wiped away some stray blue hair from her face as she tried to catch her breath. Austin twitched his ears a bit, but then gently smiled at her. He was used to his friend's eccentric behavior from last year, and it looked like this year wasn't going to be any different. Aella looked around at the room and then back at Austin.
"Oh...are we doing introductions...? Ah!” She quickly straightened up, her wings fluttering a bit. "My name is Aella! I am the member of the Newspaper Club! I had a nice summer and I hope that this will be a great year! Oh!” She stepped aside to reveal the girl behind her. "This is my cousin, Murielle! She moved in with us over the summer from Scotland, and this will be her first year at Wormwood High! Say hi, Muri!”
The girl cast her green eyes down at the floor. She clutched at her shoulder bag and didn't say a word. She looked up and caught sight of an empty desk at the very back of the room. Without making a sound she quickly walked up to the desk and sat down, her long hair covering her face. Austin looked over at Aella and raised an eyebrow. Aella sighed sadly and shook her head before taking a seat next to her friend.
Mizaka had been sleeping during the introductions. The slamming of the door woke her up and she quickly raised her head, her eyes blinking wildly. She stifled a yawn as Aella introduced herself, looked over at Murielle with a curious glance as the girl took her seat, then got up and stretched.
“Right...let's get this over with. I'm Mizaka. I work at the Buttercup Cafe after school hours and my summer has been highly unproductive. Okay.” She slumped back in her seat and lowered her head on her desk. A loud snore shortly emitted from her.

Kyle had been having an amazingly crappy day. Mostly because if they hadn't been heading to school for the first time in months he would still be sleeping right about now. As thankful as he was that Kiah so gently woke him up early on his first day to catch up with friends (gently meaning that he was thrown across the room), he still couldn't help but send her a glare every chance that he got in between goofing off with the guys. He was also a bit mad that Kiah would be constantly at his side, thanks to principal, but managed to brush it off since she wasn't particularly keen on the idea either. Groaning at the sound of the first bell, Kyle felt his sister prod him in the back, causing him to sling his pack over his shoulders and shuffle his way to their new classroom.
His foul mood was quickly remedied when he walked into the room, taking in the hot babe of a teacher with his tail wagging. He wished he'd picked something else to wear for the day, instantly regretting his preppy school uniform. As much as it complemented his sexy tan skin and the few scars on his face, it seemed a bit too tame for this wild angel to be satisfied with. He quickly ruffled his hair into place and smoothed out his ears and tail, hoping to get her attention. Kyle could feel his sister glaring at the back of his head, so he proceeded to pick out desks for them, making sure to take in the view as long as his teacher allowed him to while she was stretching next to the board.
Kiah had chosen her favorite blue, pink, and white dress to wear on the first day of school, along with a pair of darker blue leggings so she wouldn't violate any dress codes. She hated putting a hole in them for her ridiculously fluffy tail, but soon got over it when she saw how cute her outfit was. Now if only she could wear a gorgeous pair of shoes to match her long white hair, or even the blue streaks on her ears... Taking out her frustration on her brother, Kiah quickly drove them to school, catering to her brother like no other Cadejo probably would by waiting for him to finish talking with his friends.
Upon leading her idiotic brother into the classroom, Kiah had to pause and stare in horror at their new teacher, hoping that this was all a bad dream. She was wearing the exact clothing that wasn't allowed and was giving everyone in the room a once over, particularly the boys. She glared at her brother who ended up staring at the shameless teacher while walking to their new desks, tripping him up a bit when they sat down.
"The name's Kyle, though I'm sure most of you already knew that," he wiggled his eyebrows a bit at the ladies in the classroom, staring at the teacher with his glowing orange eyes for a bit longer than anyone else.
"Kyle, hurry it up. Now," Kiah whispered, kicking the boy that had paused for a moment too long, wincing a bit when he kicked her back subtly.
Kyle sent a victorious smirk towards his sister and continued on. "Anyway, I'm 16, and I'm on the Football Team and the Welcoming Committee. This summer I mostly spent my time surfing in Hawaii. Some of the local girls claimed I would have won had there been a surfing contest at the time," he couldn't help but boast, ignoring Kiah's eyeroll.
"My name's Kiah, 16, Vice Captain of the Kickboxing team and main member of the Welcoming Committe. I spent the summer riding the bike trails in Hawaii with my mother while Kyle was so bravely taking on the waves," she stated uninterestedly, throwing in a bit of sarcasm at the end. "If you ever need to find something, just come see me." She decided not to mention her brother and simply stared at the teacher, signaling that they should move on.
"Hey, I can help too..." Kyle indignantly replied, narrowing his eyes and showing his sharp canines in his mischievous grin.
"Yeah, if you want to end up in the pool during math class," Kiah remarked, putting an end to the conversation while Kyle pouted a bit. "Now shush."

Lavi had come to school early that morning. He had spent an hour sticking up flyers wherever he could. The flyers said that he was looking for new members for his band, as his former ones had graduated from school the year before and it listed his contact information. He lugged his guitar case with him as he went, slung over one shoulder as he clumsily fidgeted with his roll of tape, ripping pieces off with his teeth. When he’d run out of flyers it was about time for Home Room to start, so he dug inside one of his pockets to extract a crumpled piece of paper on which he’d written the classroom number.
Entering the classroom, he was met with a view of a young woman’s backside. He felt a blush creep up on his face, so he quickly averted his eyes and stumbled his way to an empty seat by the window. Who wore skirts that short? Carefully placing his guitar case against the desk, he had a clearer view of the rest of the young woman. He tilted his head a little, knotting his eyebrows. She was writing her name on the blackboard, was she the teacher? She seemed way too young and he had yet to meet a teacher who dressed quite so provocatively. When everyone had settled down and the woman stepped down to face them, it became clear that she was indeed the teacher. His face flushed some more when he noticed her cleavage was as present as her backside had been and he squirmed a little uncomfortably in his seat as she seemed to look him up and down when her gaze fell on him.
He listened to the other students introduce themselves, his head resting in his hand. He had already met most of them, including a fellow member of the Newspaper Club and a girl he recognized from work. When it was his turn, he stood up and stuffed his hands in his pockets, smiling around at the others. “My name is Lavi… I’ll be eighteen in a few days and I’m a reporter for the Newspaper Club. I work at the Buttercup Café as well, which was what I was doing most of the summer…” he glanced at Mizaka for a second before continuing with a nod at his guitar case, “And as you have probably guessed, I play the guitar. If anyone plays an instrument or has a good singing voice, you should come talk to me, I need new members for my band.” He grinned, and on that note he gave them all a small wave before sitting back down.
Juliet had finally decided on the perfect outfit for the first day of school. She’d been dressing and undressing for hours, the entire contents of her wardrobe spilled over her four-poster bed like a large sea of pink, purples and whites as she was creating the perfect look. As she scrutinized herself in the mirror, twirling left and right a bit for the skirt of her dress to swish around, she nodded her approval. She made her way downstairs to the dining area, not surprised to find it empty, both her parents usually off to work before she had woken up. Like a typical rich family, they had a maid who cleaned up and prepared their food, so a modest breakfast had been laid out for her. Juliet quietly finished her breakfast by herself before she gathered her bag, the clicking of her heels on the marble floors echoing throughout the empty hall. Her father’s driver was always there to bring her to and pick her up from school, and today was no different. She smiled at him as she descended down the few steps leading up to the front door and he opened the car door for her with a good morning. She returned the greeting before slipping into the car, flattening her small wings as much as possible against her back so they wouldn't bump into anything.
The blonde watched her new teacher with pursed lips. She wasn’t sure what to think of the young woman, her clothes not exactly her cup of tea. She was distracted by the introductions by the students, though, intently listening to them, a small smile on her face as she feverishly scribbled away in her little pink notebook, writing down any information on the older students she did not really know yet. As she was finishing up on the last student to introduce themselves she was unaware that it was her turn until it stayed quiet for a bit and she looked up to find the others looking at her expectantly. “Oh.” She shot upright and with a little embarrassed giggle she slid out her chair and elegantly stood up, straightening her skirt a little. “My name is Juliet.” She spoke in a sing-song voice, running a hand through her hair on the left side of her face to tuck it behind her ear where it stayed for a few seconds before it stubbornly flowed down again. “I am sixteen years old and I am a member of the Archery Club. During the summer, I helped my mother with her matchmaking business. You might have heard of it? Eros?” She smiled around proudly before it was replaced with a determined look and she hold out her hands in front of her to convey the seriousness of what she was about to say. “If any of you need any help, don’t be afraid to come to me. I know about romance.” She then curtsied a little with a giggle that ended on a higher note than the rest of it before sitting back down again, crossing her legs at the ankles.

Trevor woke a few minutes before the alarm, roused by nothing but the end of a dream. Nothing unusual. He lay in bed staring at the clock until the klaxon sounded. Reaching over, he silenced it. He sat up, pulling the sheets to one side, unveiling his legs and the one article of clothing he donned while he slept. A pair of shorts. He sat on the edge of his bed for a moment with his back slightly arched and both hands planted on the bed with locked elbows. Trevor lifted one hand and rubbed the back of his neck, noting the feel of the hairs back there. They delivered more resistance than usual. Almost time... he thought with a sigh. He began to yawn and stretch. Three knocks came from his door before he finished his yawn. He knocked on his nightstand three times in response. Footsteps could then be heard, becoming quieter as they got farther away from his door. He rose to his feet and walked to the bathroom for his shower.
When he finished with the shower, the pup dried himself, placing the towel on his head. He dried his hair only partially. Upon returning to his room, he put on only his pants and shoes, before walking downstairs to eat his breakfast. Trevor didn't see anyone on his way down or while he sat at the table. He looked at the clock and noticed his was a little behind schedule. This meant that he would just have to skip the usual session of taking in some music at his desk. He finished up all things necessary inside of the house and left, locking the door behind him. He walked to his car and popped the hood and held it open with one hand. He meticulously scanned the compartment. Satisfied, he closed it and proceeded to sit in the driver's seat. Starting the engine, he sat for a moment to listen. Everything was in order. He then drove himself to school.
Arriving at school he found a parking spot. He took in the view of the campus. It was nice after all. Leaving his car, he found some shade and lingered under the shield. He heard the warning bell and continued his approach to the school. The closer he got to the school, the more faces he recognized. He chose not to engage any of them. Trevor entered the school and searched for his classroom. It wasn't long before he came across his destination.
Reaching his homeroom, he looked inside before entering. He saw a student already sitting inside. As he got closer to the door, the angle changed and then he saw her. He presumed this was his teacher. He took in the view. It was nice after all. He couldn't help the slight smirk that played over his mouth. After a brief respite from thought, Trevor instinctively ran his tongue down the length of an incisor. He took a seat in the class and watched as the others slowly filed in at irregular intervals.
All the students were in seats as the final bell rang. The room was full with the exception of a few desks. The teacher began her introduction and thus began the introduction of the students. He knew of the grand majority of them. When it came to his turn, he paused a moment, and then stood. Adjusting his tie once he stood at his tallest. He inhaled preparing to speak. "My name is Trevor...I'm 17..." he stated as he looked around the room momentarily. "I spent the summer..." he looked for the right word "...traveling" he partially lied, "with my family." The truth of the matter, he wasn't really permitted to reveal what he had done during the summer. He quickly thought of something to add, "and worked on my car." He sat down slowly in hopes that the motion wouldn't raise any more attention. The werewolf was so distracted this morning, that he hadn't given any thought to the possibility of a cover story.

Dressed in her usual shirt, tie, sweater and skirt, Eunice didn't even look in the mirror before leaving her home. She knew she looked alright enough, and didn't want to look at herself in the mirror any more than was necessary. She hated to see the spiraled horn sticking from her forehead. She slipped her sandals on and grabbed her things, heading out onto the sidewalk. She lived close enough to the school to walk to and from every day, and did just that, even in inclement weather. She was early, and headed to the Library for a while. None of the other students were there, which was to be expected. She simply walked the aisles by her lonesome, and then spoke with the Librarian for a few minutes. Once it was almost time for the first bell, she started for class.
Eunice walked through the halls of the school, keeping close to the lockers that lined them. She hugged her books close to her chest, keeping her focus ahead as she headed for Homeroom. She had already looked up what room she would be in, weeks in advance. She had also picked the shortest route there, and the one least likely to be crowded with other students. She avoided contact with everyone if possible, keeping to herself. She was the first to the classroom as always, and waited as everyone else filed in. She sat in the very front, in the desk closest to the door. She did this because she could be the first to leave, and could escape quickly if she had need to flee.
She remained very quiet while the others introduced themselves, and when it was her turn, she took a nervous breath before standing. She daren't face any of the other students, so she instead addressed the teacher.
"My name is Eunice Meadows....I'm 16, and...I skipped a grade, so I'm actually a...Senior...Over the summer I helped the Librarian- That is, Ms. Marpole...I helped her to find some more books for the school's collection..." Her voice was very sweet and quiet, and she sat down quickly after she finished.

It had taken Nicholas great effort to get out of bed in time for school that morning. After a summer spent lounging about the house and sleeping 14 hours a day, the early wake-up had been brutal. Though it wasn't particularly different from his usual state, he felt like a corpse struggling his way onto the bus – nearly missing his stop too – and then shuffling into school. It took him three attempts to find the right classroom – it was lucky his mother had decided to wake him extra early – as he got lost the first few times when his mind wandered off on the way there. He slouched his way into the classroom, his eyes straying briefly to the teacher; for, since she was in front of the class and writing on the blackboard, as far as Nicholas was concerned, that meant she was the teacher. Considering his usually dazed state he had long ago decided that that was a good strategy to stick to. His gaze passed over her blankly though, her being scantily clad not registering in his tired brain.
He sat down in the first available seat he came across and the minute he was seated he pulled out a small pillow from his bag, placed it on the desk, and promptly fell sound asleep. The start of class passed him by completely, and it wasn't until something sharp prodded him in the back – his fellow classmate behind him, it seemed, poking him with a ruler – that he awoke again. “Wha..?” he mumbled, before picking up on the vibe – that, and remembering the routine from last year – and quickly standing up. “Oh, right. I'm Nicholas, I'm 17 years old. I'm, er... not one for clubs and such. I spent most of my summer asleep, and the rest helping out my grandfather.” He paused, sleepy eyes scrounged up in thought as he wondered if he'd forgotten anything, before nodding, managing a small smile before sitting down again and squeezing the pillow to his face with his arms with a contented sigh.
Michiyo had, after some consideration, decided that it was probably a good idea to attend the first Home Room of the new school year. She might as well pretend as if she was interested, she thought, making her way through the crowded hallways towards the designated classroom with her book bag slung over one shoulder and a thick volume cradled in the nook of her other arm. Who knew, maybe they had decided to revise the curriculum to such an extent that it was actually a challenge. She snorted at the idea. Nope, she mused, joining the small queue slowly filtering into the classroom, This will be another year spent idling my time away on the roof. As soon as she made it past the door she got a full view of a young woman leaning provocatively forwards on a stepladder, scribbling on the blackboard. This warranted a raised eyebrow combined with an amused look as Michiyo passed, making her way to some of the still available seats near the back. She figured the woman was a teacher's aid, a bit young to be their teacher, and she smirked as she imagined the scolding that would ensue once he or she would arrive. Sliding into a seat, she placed the thick book on her table, settling in to take in the class she would be stuck with for the year.
By the time the woman – or “Miss Liv” as she introduced herself – had made it clear that she was their Home Room teacher and the prospect of a good scene was lost, Michiyo opened the heavy volume on her desk at the page marked by a bookmark with a soft thud and started to read where she left off that morning. Around her, she was vaguely aware of the other students standing up one by one and introducing themselves, but to her it was just a soft hum, not really interested in their stories and as such not really paying attention. The sudden absence of noise made it clear that it was supposed to be her turn, and with a slightly irritated sigh, she abandoned her page to stand up. “I'm Michiyo,” she droned, obviously bored, “I'm 17, I'm not in any clubs or committee’s, I don't have a job, and my summer was spent doing exactly what I do every day of the year.” Without any further elaboration, she sat back down, and with one last lazy look around the room immersed herself in her book again.
“Yes, I know, Mom,” Roan extracted herself from the front seat of her mother's car with some effort, as her mother kept pawing at her clothing, “I won't talk to anyone I don't know.” Her mother nodded at her, finally putting her hands back on the wheel, “Good. Do you have practice this afternoon?” Roan shrugged in reply, hoisting her bag higher up on her shoulder, “I won't know yet.” The older woman shot her daughter a stern look, “I want you straight home after, alright?” With another affirmative nod, her mother left Roan to make her way towards her first class of the day, Home Room. Keeping her head down and her gaze averted, she quickly headed over to where she was supposed to go, hoping to get there as one of the first. She wanted a seat by the window desperately.
When she entered the classroom, she was at first delighted to find it only half-full, with still a lot of places near the window available. Yet as she entered, she caught sight of a young woman stepping up on a small ladder, piece of chalk in hand. Roan frowned at the back of her head as she passed on her way towards a window-seat, taking in her clothing – or lack there-off – with not exactly disapproval, but disbelief. Who on earth would want to wear something like that? Glancing around the room, she noticed the elated looks of some of the male students as they took their time to take in their new teacher. With a look of disgust towards her fellow students, Roan quickly slid into a seat.
As introductions started, though she kept her eyes on the piece of paper she was doodling on, she paid attention to everyone's stories. It would be beneficial to know exactly who she would be sharing a classroom with. Perhaps it would give some idea of who was trustworthy, and who wasn't. When it was her turn, she stood up, doodling pencil still in hand. “I'm Roan,” she said softly but swiftly, her eyes flicking back and forth between her new classmates but never lingering on anyone for too long, “I'm 17 and... “ For a moment she hesitated, wanting to tell exactly what she had been doing, before her mother's voice started nagging at the back of her head. “And what I did this summer is none of your business.” She quickly sat down again, staring at her desktop and playing with her pencil again.

By the time everyone had finished their introductions, the bell was ringing for class to begin. Liv sent the Juniors off to study hall, "Do be sure to pick our a good book to read during your first two weeks here~ I'll want a report on it later on~"
Turning back to the Seniors, her hands on her hips, she bounced perkily on the balls of her feet, "Alright! That leaves the Seniors. There are quite a few of you, aren't there? Well don't worry, I'm not assigning any homework to be due tomorrow. Today I want you all to work in groups. Each group will work together to make a list of class rules. When everyone has finished, you will present your rules, and we'll have a discussion about it. How does that sound~?"
Liv moved around the room for a bit, surveying the students and deciding who she wanted to work together. After a minute, she decided, "Alright! Ricky, Michiyo, and Austin will be in Group 1...Lavi, Aella, and Roan will be in Group 2...and Trevor, Eunice, Rey, and Nicholas will be in Group 3. Please meet up with your group and gather your desks~!"
Ricky immediately took charge, standing up and calling out, "Hey, Michi! Austin! Come over here!" he motioned for them with a grin on his face before sitting back down.
He was glad they had something simple to do for the day, and more glad they weren't going to have homework. This way he could spend his afternoon training instead of working on an assignment. Not only that, but he had been paired with a pretty girl and another polite guy, so it would be a nice group to work with. He put his hands behind his head and leaned back in his desk to wait for the others to gather around.
Rey grimaced at the word 'group' and crossed his arms. He hated working in groups with others. It was always a hassle trying to get everyone to cooperate. He preferred working solo (not that he did his work anyway), or else working in pairs. When he heard who he was in a group with, he surveyed them all from behind his shades. There was a guy he didn't remember apparently called Trevor; he seemed harmless enough, probably not annoying. He recognized the quiet girl from last year, the bookworm...maybe she would do most of the project for them, she was a bit of a pushover if he remembered right. The other boy he didn't really recognize, but he seemed to be pretty disinterested in what was going on, too sleepy to pay much attention. Rey decided to get up and stand by the sleepy one to wait for the others.
"Oi," he tapped the leg of the boy's desk with his foot, "Wake up, Bedhead."

Trevor, heard the instructor say "group" and was forced to release a light sigh. He would have preferred to work alone. Although his heritage made him adept at working in concert with others, it was only the first day of school, he wanted to keep to himself a bit longer. As the members of his group were named, he recalled the students attached to them.
Eunice... He glanced over to her, taking in her outward appearance. And recalled the girl mentioning the librarian. She looked like a librarian herself. Trevor momentarily entertained the idea of the "naughty" librarian. As quickly as the thought came on, it had passed. It seemed that she would pull her weight. All that anyone could ask for. She would be an asset.
Rey... He was late to class and brought with him the scent of cigarettes. Although indoors, the boy still wore his sunglasses. He bore the ears and tails of a fox. In Soma's experiences, this combination wouldn't help.
Finally, Nicholas... The boy's face was buried in a pillow. The action spoke for itself. One is better than none. he thought grimly
As Rey stood, Trevor did the same. He rubbed the back of his neck as he did so and approached the others. He stood in silence watching the one sided exchange between Rey and Nicholas.

Kyle was disappointed to find that he wouldn't have class with their teacher yet. Sure, he would have known that if he'd read his schedule, but why would he do that when his sister had all of the same classes? He noticed that there were only a few Juniors compared to the Seniors while walking to the library, and groaned loudly. When he finally arrived, he quickly chose a book he'd read the year before, picked a table, and threw his feet up onto it. He was thinking about talking to the cute blonde girl, (Jenny? Julia? It starts with a 'J', he knew that much) but she seemed like one of those girls that talked and talked. Besides, he was waiting for the hot teacher to come check on them, so he was at least going to pretend to do what he was told.
Getting out of her chair happily, Kiah walked behind her brother who was in the lead to make sure he didn't wonder off to find something more fun to do. She'd notice that they had very few classmates following them and frowned a bit. She looked at their small group and tried to find someone to talk to. Murielle hadn't said one word at all, Juliet seemed like she'd rather gossip about couples, and Mizaka looked like she was going to sleep as soon as they got to the library. Sighing while walking through the door, Kiah separated from her brother, rolling her eyes when she noticed the copy of 'The Lightning Thief' that he'd read the year before, and started scanning the shelves for a book that she hadn't read that looked interesting enough to hold her attention.

Austin looked over at where Ricky was calling to them and quickly got up. He walked over and sat next to the boy, a smiling forming on his face.
“Good morning.” He recognized Ricky from last year, though back then they had different classes and never had the chance to properly introduce themselves to each other. “Hard to believe it's our first day back. It's like summer never happened at all...” He folded his hands and sat quietly as they waited for Michiyo.
Murielle had been staring out of the window the whole time Miss Liv had been talking. The sudden movement of the students broke her away from her thoughts and she looked up in confusion. Due to not paying attention for the last few minutes, the young Kelpie got up and walked to where Aella was sitting and gave her a questioning look.
“Hmm?” Aella stared at her cousin for a few seconds before she realized what she wanted from her. “Oh! Juniors now have study hall! Just follow the other students to the library and pick out a book. You'll have to do a report on it later.” Murielle gripped the handle of her shoulder bag, her lips forming into a scowl. She obviously didn't want to go to another room with a bunch of people she didn't know, but seeing as how she didn't have any other choice she only sighed in frustration and began to follow the other juniors. Aella looked on sadly, knowing fully well what her cousin was feeling at the moment. She looked up and spotted Lavi and Roan at the other side of the room. She began to wildly wave at them. “Hey! Lavi! Roan! Come over here!”
Mizaka jerked awake at the sound of students filing themselves out of the classroom. After pulling out her schedule, she saw that it was time for study hall for the juniors. Groaning, she got up and followed behind, her eyelids barely holding up. Once in the library, however, Mizaka immediately straightened up and scanned the numerous aisles of books around her. One thing that she absolutely loved to do in her spare time was read, and seeing the countless books before her had the same affect on her as ten cups of black coffee. Mizaka skipped happily to the shelves and began tracing her fingers on the spines of the books. Looking up, she saw Kiah standing not too far from her and decided to pay her a little visit.
“Heeeeey.” She hopped up to the other girl and poked her in the shoulder. “What's up? How's your idiot brother?” Mizaka scowled as she mentioned Kyle. Last year the two had gotten into multiple fights over various disagreements, and the memories had left a bitter taste in her mouth.
Murielle sat down at an empty table at the far end of the library. She pulled out “Dracula” from her bag (a book she had been reading all summer and was almost finished with) and turned to a bookmarked page. She didn't make a single sound, nor did she look up once at her classmates.

At the mention of no homework, Lavi looked up eagerly. The group project sounded easy enough, and after work he'd have the rest of the day to himself. He grinned at Aella as she waved him over, glad someone he knew well had been assigned to the same group. The other girl, Roan, had always kept to herself and he'd never really gotten the chance to talk to her much. He hoped Aella's enthusiasm, which he'd gotten pretty much used to himself by working with her in the Newspaper Club, wouldn't intimidate the girl too much. Grabbing his bag and guitar case, he lugged them over to where the Pegasus was sitting and sat down next to her after he'd dragged a chair a little closer to her desk.
"Hey Aella." He greeted her, rooting around in his bag for a notepad and a pen. "Took some good pictures this summer?" He glanced up at her with a grin, arm disappearing even deeper into his bag. After extracting a bunch of pens and dumping them on his lap, he started to test them all on a notepad he'd laid down on his lap as well. Most of them were empty and he tossed them back in his bag one by one until he found one that worked.
With a flourish, Juliet rose from her seat and hung her pink bag around her shoulder as she followed the other Juniors out of the classroom and off to the library, a slight skip in her step. Once they'd entered the library, she looked around at the multitude of books with a pout. She wasn't really one for reading. With pursed lips, she examined some titles, gripping the straps of her bag with both hands. She finally chose a random Jane Austen book, not really paying attention as she had been watching her felllow classmates instead, looking for someone to talk to. Noticing the girl who hadn't said anything at all in class, Juliet made her way towards her. She had no information on this girl whatsoever, and she wanted to know more about her.
"Hello there. Murielle, right? What are you reading?" She asked Murielle with a smile when she'd reached the table the girl was sitting at, head tilted a little, hugging the book she'd chosen to her chest.
