Rolled a four: Water field: Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

Walpurgis stood at his trainer box as Gangrel leapt off his shoulder and onto a platform below. It was their first battle in a while, and so they were both excited. The Gym Leadership hirings floated in their minds, although for Gangrel it was mostly the chance to fight that encouraged him.

Tenka soared over the field. Not his favorite field, but it wasn't bad. He swooped and soared, getting a feel for the air currents.

Walpurgis wasted no time with introductions.

The rattatas eyes faded into a light blue color as a beam of ice shot from it's mouth straight towards Tenka. They weren't going to mess around.

The lightning struck Gangrel, but he quickly shook it off, planted to the platform.
"Gangrel! Use Work Up!"
The attack from earlier gave the rattata a focus for his rage, and he seethed in place for a moment, glaring at Tenka with again-red eyes.

Gagrel tilted his head. He'd never heard of a quagsire before, what was that? As he sat to ponder the question, he was again struck by lightning. The ponderous expression on his face became that of rage. The filthy emolga had attacked before he was ready, a sneak attack! How dare he, that was HIS job!
"Gangrel, use Defense Curl, now!"
Gangrel did as he was told, retreating into himself to protect himself from further attacks.

Gangrel poked his head out at the inane proclamation. [What the crap is a bid - OOF!]
For a second time, he had lowered his guard, and electricity surged through his body. He wasn't used to other pokemon playing so dirtily!
"Gangrel! Use Defense Curl again!"
As much as he wanted to simply rip out the emolga's throat at that moment, he knew he'd never get to do so anyway. He didn't want to go back in the ball, so he curled up even tighter than before.
