One week later, with what Hunters were dubbing as Princess Caelius striding down the hallways throwing tantrums that usually ended up with someone not yours truly in the Life Labs infirmary throughout Deus Ex Machina, the general state of the Island seemed to be better.
It was too bad the actual perpetrator of Joy Formula No. 5 was never found, simply because noone remembered quite clearly enough what had lead to the situation in the first place. Most people just blamed what they called a guerrilla island attack on Halloween: clearly all problems started and ended with Halloween so why would this be any different. No, don't stare at the snow, just scoop it up okay, seriously stop staring at the snow.
One week later was when the trainees could probably consider things as being back to "normal": the smartest of them might have even managed to avoid the higher ups' wrath for the duration of. Most of then were not as lucky, as their week consisted mostly of cleaning, more cleaning, construction duty, the list went on. Blisters and splinters were not an uncommon occurrence by far.
And as things were back to normal, trainees most likely would have not been too surprised by a sudden text that did not involve rebuilding a room from scratch. Text from Caelius Classroom 2A debriefing. 10:00 am It was also 9:45 am. Trainees had better start running again. It was nice to know that some things over the new year just did not change, constants were always something to look forward too. A certain Death division leader sitting in his usual spot in the room just looking as cheerful as usual maybe not so much. OOC - Feel free to have your trainee drop in, with their reactions to what has happened over the past week as well, before taking a seat (or not, who knows?) - This is a RP where your trainee will be granted access to other RP events, rping in this thread is encouraged but not mandatory: it will just be assumed that all trainees were here.

Gale was, to say the least, tired.
And he did not really want to remember any of the events of the past week.
Things had gone back to being relatively normal, as much as they could get for a place like Deus Ex Machina. Gale had spent most of the past week in his room recuperating, avoiding the rest of the hunters in an effort to regain some of the dignity and strength he had lost during the entire Christmas fiasco.
Or disaster, rather, was a better term for it. He really did not want to remember the fact that he had kissed two people he really wished he hadn't (though Eva kissing him on the cheek had been rather pleasant...), as well as been attacked by that damn creature at the gates - something Gale was still bemused on how it had actually gotten in in the first place - not to mention the whole "Intermediate Hunters being in charge" thing. Fortunately he had managed to slip beneath the radar of the wrath of the Division Heads (so far), but he did not know how long that would last.
Needless to say, he wanted the normalcy back. Which was why, when Gale got the text from Caelius, it was almost welcome.
Almost. But then he looked at his watch, and the time on the screen, and gave a small sigh of exasperation, even as he was grabbing his coat and running out the door.
"That b*****d."
This was grumbled breathlessly as Gale staggered into Classroom 2A, the stitch in his side making him half bend over. He straightened irritatedly, debating stomping across the room, decided against it, and made his way quietly instead, throwing himself into the nearest chair, and attempting to catch his breath.
<< Andddd we're back to normal. >>
Yep.

One would think that after getting the night shift of cleaning up rubble in really awkward places, they would have at least given her a break. Maybe let some sleep be allowed in to her schedule. Wishful thinking is usually not rewarded. So, bags under her eyes the moon huntress stalked forward, imitating a zombie quite well. The past week she tried to remember what had NOT happened. How could she even think like that? It was a haze most of it... almost like being high and drunk at the same time. Not the best combo, but some of the scenes were flashing back to her now and then. Some sort of snow contest, a dance... even something about people she did not know? Chewing on her bottom lip Ceres Zombied her way down the hall and slipped in to the room. Choosing to take up residence in the corner of the area, she suveyed and scanned the room for familiar faces... nope. Maybe faces she remembered in the haze?....double nope. Ok, good. She could hide in plain sight then. No harm no foul. She would contimplate curling in to a ball and sleeping in the corner... but she would rather not be signed up as the newest addition to a soccer team — do they even have one? — with her as the ball. Just as she settled in though... she caught sight of at least one familiar face. Catching her breath she chose to silence herself. She did not do anything stupid around Gale had she?

‘Molly’ really wasn’t…exactly sure what to make of the most recent events, but at the same time, she had the disadvantage of still being fairly new to Deus Ex…so whatever its ‘normalcy’ was, she was not aware of it quite yet. The Mist trainee tried to roll with the punches though. After the Christmas Gala and the attack on the gate well…she did what everyone else did…follow orders and clean. Cleaning, cleaning, never not cleaning, and she found that she didn’t mind this work before it was simple and straight forward, even if it was labor-intensive. Actually…it was still better than trying to record data on 98 Canon Cats. The young woman gave a shudder as she paused in the door way to class room 2A, her breathing a bit ragged from the scrambling she had just done to get here on time after receiving the text. Making sure she was in the right place and on time, Molly moved into the class room quietly, taking note of the others who were in already, and fretted for a moment. Where should she sit? Venturing closer to the nearest trainee, who happened to be rather young looking boy, Molly ventured a wave at him. “ Excuse me, Sir?” She chirped. “… Is the seat next to you taken?” It was rather close to the front…that was good, right?

A secret skill Cass had been honing was the ability to teleport.
Actually, she'd just been rather close when the assembly message had been sent out and just dashed up a flight of stairs and down a hallway to get to the requested room. Being first in the door hadn't seemed like a good idea, but she'd walked in anyways without worrying if she was or not, trying to not draw too much attention from Caelius as she went to find a seat and settled in. She looked worn, but alert.
It may have been Nicodemus in her head constantly prodding her to not fall asleep, and she'd listened to him as she didn't want to end up snoring during a meeting of the Master-Hunter.
Even if she had a feeling if she spoke out of line she'd end up with broken ribs or something. She...really didn't want to end up with broken ribs. Even if she had something to ask him about. Well.... she knew how he was about requests and the like and she knew it was going to be a pain to ask him about it. Boo. She'd figure out something.
Though the answer to it would end up being 'Be badass' or something like that. She'd become potent with or without Nicodemus.

The text woke Tedan up out of a sound sleep - since he'd long ago gotten into the habit of turning the volume on his phone all the way up before he went to bed. Missions came at such goddamned odd times ... and he didn't want to get in trouble for missing something. Ugh.
Still, it wasn't all that early - except that the dark-haired trainee was still pretty damn exhausted from the events of the past week. Still, this was a text from Caelius. He knew better than to ignore it. So he dragged himself out of bed and sort of finger-combed his hair into some semblance of order as he got dressed. Grabbing his coat, he made his way toward classroom 2A. He wasn't quite running - not being awake enough for that ... but he got there with probably a couple of minutes to spare and glanced around. Heh. Okay, good, probably he wasn't late considering hardly anyone else had shown up yet.
Spotting Gale, Tedan wandered up toward the front of the classroom and took a seat behind the other. "Hey, did he wake you guys up too?" he asked the room in general.

Gale, grumbling to himself, did not notice that he was the only one in the room until he heard the soft thumping of footsteps as someone came in. A flicker of his eyes upwards made his gaze land on Ceres, the hunter with whom he'd grouped with during Aria's mission. He gave her a small nod in greeting, lifting a hand briefly.
There was a shuffling of chairs as someone stepped up beside him, and Gale's eyes lifted, resting on the face of someone unfamiliar. He did not recognize the female hunter, who seemed to be a few years older than himself, with pale, reddish hair in thick curls.
And she called him "sir."
Gale could hear Jinhai cackling with amusement in his head.
Shut up.
<< She called you 'sir.' You look like you're twelve. How is this not entertaining to you? >>
I'm ignoring you now.
<< Okay, sir. >>
Good grief.
Gale gave her a nod, the barest hint of a smile on his face. "No, it's not taken; feel free to have a seat. I'm Gale, by the way - I don't think I've seen you around before."
A familiar voice somewhere behind him made Gale tilt his head backwards until he was almost looking upside down.
"Hey, Tedan," came the somewhat muffled reply; Gale had snapped his head back up, his scarf covering the lower half of his face as he suddenly remembered the very awkward Christmas Gala. Being all hopped up on Joy had not exactly been a good thing, after all.
Meanwhile Jinhai was still amusing himself over the whole "sir" thing.

Her mind worked in a plainly simple fashion. Gale had a coat that was fancier than hers. That meant he was a rank higher than her. That meant he was thus entitled to be addressed as ‘sir’ because he was her superior. The Mist trainee gave him a wide, grateful smile. “ Oh thank you so much!” She replied happily, maybe a bit too chipper for the current situation, and promptly took the seat next to him. From her jacket she pulled out a green planner and a pen, setting them on the desk before looking back over at Gale. “ It’s really nice to meet you, Gale, sir!” She replied, “ Ah yes…I uh…awoke about a few weeks ago! My name is Molly!” As someone else seemed to ask a question, Molly turned her head to look at Tedan. “ Oh, no! I was getting breakfast!” That was her oh so helpful input.

Tedan remembered what had happened at the Gala ... very well, in fact. He just. Had decided to not let it bother him. Obviously they had all been drugged or something. And honestly, looking back it the events... it was pretty hilarious. So he didn't particularly react when Gale hid his face except maybe to smile just a little bit. In the end, it had been fun, even if there were a lot of embarrassing moments... Oh geez, and in remembering all of that stuff, he'd totally missed the fact that there seemed to be someone new here! "Hey, good to see some new faces in here. I'm Tedan," he said to Molly, with a slight widening of the smile that was already on his lips.

At first, Wilson was speechless as he lay in bed while he let his phone ring, but by the second ring he finally groaned and lazily stretched out an arm to grab the device on the table next to him. It took him a couple seconds of bumping his hand around the table before the man managed to grab the phone and read the message. A brief glance at the current time: 9:45. Usually he was up by now, but the past week had been exhausting. After the leaders had returned from Halloween, the trainees were in for it. Build. Clean. Build. Clean some more. It was an endless list of duties and Wilson was still picking the blisters from his fingers. Then he stared at the meeting time and gagged. “What?!” Wilson shot out of his room, glad he hadn’t bothered to change into PJs last night.
By the time he had arrived at the classroom he was breathing heavily, yet there were still only a small group of trainees. Wilson felt cheated. He looked around the room. Most of them he at least recognized, but there was one girl he had never seen before. Wilson cocked his head as he took a second to examine the girl with curls, who mentioned breakfast. The reminder immediately sent a hand flying to his empty stomach and he tried not to look too disappointed. “Breakfast. Someone remind me to get some food after this,” he mentioned to no one in particular as he walked up to the group. “You said your name was Molly, right? I’m Wilson.”

After getting several cups of coffee, Deryk meandered into the classroom. It seemed like everything was back to normal. He wasn't really sure if this was a good or bad thing. The Joy had felt amazing. The withdrawl not so much. But now he was feeling more himself. Well, he was tired from rushing into the room, but that was aside the point. "Didn't miss anything did I?" he asked no one in particular. while checking the time. It seemed like he wasn't late It also didn't look like there were too many people around just yet. One thing he noticed, was that the girl Wilson spoke to was someone he hadn't really seen before. Maybe he just never noticed her before or anything like that. "Hey man," he said, greeting Wilson before waving to the girl he was speaking to as well.

Thanks to so many early wake up calls the past week, Ryan had started getting up at the crack of dawn and by the time the message arrived on his phone, he already been dressed and outside. A good routine. Considering how often he had been woken up by his phone, he needed to keep it. Regardless of having duties or not.
His hands however, had seen better days.
Getting stuck on construction detail for the past week had him recovering from blisters and cuts. Both of which made his hands ache every time he even so much as flexed his fingers. It hurt, yes, but it was a pain that he would gladly take over any punishment the higher ups' could and would dish out if he chose to shirk his duties.
:Oh look, you're on time. For once.: Locke teased, as Ryan slipped into the classroom with five minutes to spare. Heading straight for the back, where he would wait for further instructions.

It had been a long week. Apparently, it was frowned upon to fire a destructive weapon indoors, regardless of Yetis or not. Days upon days of re-dry-walling and plastering and painting as well as additional cleanup duties had left Jerry exhausted.
Candace, at least, seemed to be on the mend, which had picked up his mood considerably, but the girl had needed her rest and Jerry had insisted on sleeping separately to ensure proper healing.
On the whole, Jerry was convinced he had done a darn good job of taking over things while their superiors had been called away doing god-only-knew-what. When the cellphone call came in, he had groaned and hauled himself from bed- he shouldn't have been sleeping in, there still were odds and ends to tend to- and rushed his way to the assembly. Hopefully there would be no more trouble.
It had just been a shame his sing-along had been cut short. He bet he even could have gotten Bix in on it if things hadn't gone so awry. All the same, the guitar was left in his room (thankfully) as he crept his way into the hall, glancing about for any of his cohorts to take a seat by. It looked as though he hadn't missed much, which was another relief. He really shouldn't be making a habit of arriving to these things late.

He was on his way back to his room with an armload of books. Jude checked the text through the power of balancing and using a nearby wall. Stared at it for half a second dropped the books where he stood and just took off running for the classroom so that he could make it in time. Upon stumbling into the room he stood hunched over and taking a few gasping breaths and not noting anyone who was there.
{You're getting better at thisss!}
{Shush peanut gallery.}
Yom gave a small amused giggle as Jude straightened up and took everyone in. There were no surprises though he didn't honestly know one or two of them more than in passing though his eyes lingered on Molly and noted she was using the planner he'd gotten her for Christmas and an oddly pleasant warmth spread over him. It was a good thing he was already flushed because he ran to the classroom otherwise this might have been embarrassing for him.
Thus Jude tried to casually move to a seat. He tripped and collapsed into an empty seat instead.
...Smooth.

Gale decided he liked Molly, even though he had only barely just met her. She was rather pleasant, and so far hadn't referred to him as a kid - and had even called him "sir."
Gale approved.
"A pleasure, Molly," he said - and for once, he actually met it. He offered her his hand to shake before his gaze flickered back to Tedan, face slightly pink.
Jinhai was cackling madly in his head now, thoroughly amused.
Shut up already.
<< Oh, Gale, you do keep me entertained with your little kid behavior. >>
Oy, vey...
And then there was Wilson, stepping up and sliding into the seat on the other side of Molly. Gale lifted his hand in greeting, which was then extended as a wave to Ryan as he stepped into the room as well, and then to Jude who...was tripping into a chair.
Whoops.
