well they are both the same thing but when i talk to my parent's about them they are comic book's.
but i like to call them mangas

I call 'em manga, the companies call 'em manga, the BOOKSTORE calls 'em manga...I'm going with manga.
At Quisenta Ayanami: Lol, my parents have only recently started calling them manga blaugh

lol i got manga's for christmas from my bf's family and they were like manga's? he had to explain to them that they were comic's that i like to read.

I always say manga unless I'm caught reading them in class I call them graphic novels to avoid confusion and make it sound better to teachers.

manga for me....but if you really want to confuse people, call it tankabon-the actual word for the volume..lol

hm..well if I'm talking to my friends I say manga
but if I'm writing it like in an essay or talking to my teacher or something I say graphic novel 3nodding

Well i used to call them comics... sweatdrop back in the old days when i had no idea... now i call them manga after having it drummed into my brain by my "manga" obsessed sister. Whenever i go into a shop and have to ask where the manga is i call them graphic novels so that the shop assistants don't go "huh?" xp
