Appearance: Ronyo usually can be seen in his gym wearing brown slacks, a dark green button down shirt, and his matching brown vest. A red tie helps break up the color pallet of his ensemble and he always tops things off with his brown fedora. His white hair can be seen flowing out his hat in a loose ponytail held together with a red ribbon. His hazel eyes seem to shift back and forth between a almost complete deep green, a swilling golden, a soft brown, or a mixture in between. When he battles Ronyo always dawns a pair of brown leather fingerless gloves.
Personality: Ronyo is solid and firm in his nature of being kind to all those around him and tough to those who would seek harm on others. He is well grounded in his beliefs but much like a soft foundation or the shifting sands he can easily mold and form to the situation that presents itself. Being a gym leader he always likes to have fun and loves a strong pure hearted challenger to put him to the test, and for him to put through the trials to become a pokemon champion. Ronyo has also been known to enjoy the occasional bad joke that lean towards the obvious puns in a situation.

History: Like most eager young kids Ronyo started his decade birthday with the wish to travel the world and raise pokemon. He was not sure at the time what his final destination would be or even what road he should start down but that was something he looked forward to finding out. Ronyo's first partner was a Houndour who he meet just a few days before his tenth birthday. On the day of his celebrated birth the Houndour was present and showed it wished to travel with Ronyo on his journey. From that day Ronyo and his Houndour were friends and had many exciting and life forming challenges.

On one of his attempts at gm battle Ronyo watched as he was beaten by a trainer who had a clear type disadvantage over him. The gym leader showed Ronyo that type was only a small portion of battling, and it was on that day Ronyo joined the gym as a avid learner and apprentice to continue to absorb wisdom and become stronger. Over the next several years Ronyo trained and battled smaller challengers looking to make their way to the gym leader. Ronyo also captured more pokemon on his off time and began to form a bound with them all the while developing his own style.

On his sixteenth birthday Ronyo challenged his mentor and gym leader to a rematch and achieved an overwhelming victory. It was then that the gym leader told Ronyo that he would be stepping down as gym leader and giving it over to Ronyo. The gym leader explained he had been training Ronyo to one day replace him and help teach a new generation of pokemon hopefuls. With a parting gift the gym leader gave Ronyo a pokemon egg and set out into the unknown for his own journey. That egg, when it hatched, turned into the Dragonite that stands as Ronyo's assistant and part time referee on occasion. Ronyo found a type style that suited his way of battling and turned the Viridian City gym into one of the best ground type gyms in Kanto. Now two years down and Ronyo has become a truly gifted gym leader who looks to teach all those who wish to learn how to better themselves on the path to pokemon fame.

Name: Kal Mirthal
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 130
Appearance: Kal usually wears his light nylon jacket, colored in white and shining gray, with a nondescript long-sleeve shirt underneath. His legs are usually dressed in fatigues, and feet sport a pair of steel-toe boots. His hair is silky smooth and straight blonde hair that goes down to his shoulders. His eyes are a piercing green.
Personality: Often aloof, most of Kal's decisions and actions taken are resolute. With few friends, he cares little for those that would use him solely for their own means and those who would abuse his trust.
Profession: Olivine City Gym Leader
Pokemon: Magnemite, Voltorb, Forretress, Steelix, Scizor, Skarmory
History: Kal's first pokemon was a Pineco that fell down and exploded on his head in Ilex forest, while he was cutting a tree. Both Kal and the Pineco were recovered by Kal's father, Kal being carried off to his home and the Pineco getting dropped off at the local Pokemon Center. After Kal recovered, he was told what happened. He traveled to the Pokemon Center to see this Pineco that he'd apparently disturbed.

The nurse there explained to him that it had already been released back into Ilex forest, where it had originally been found. Kal remembered where the tree was. Without telling his father, Kal "borrowed" one of his empty pokeballs and traveled back into Ilex to confront the Pineco. He didn't wish the bug any harm, but he felt affronted, all the same. Thinking irrationally at the time, of course, he wanted to teach the Pineco some self-control.

He lured the Pineco down from the tree by rattling it multiple times again. It fell and exploded once more, but this time Kal was ready to spot the Pineco as it was falling, and he scrambled out of the blast radius before it touched the ground. It was easy to catch the Pineco after that, of course, and Kal returned to his home in Azalea. When his father found out what happened, though, he grew angry with Kal, gave him a lecture about responsibility and kicked him out the door with nothing but a backpack, 1200 dollars and the Pineco in his pokeball. Kal's father told him not to come back until he had learned to take responsibility for his actions.

Name: Dellingr
Age: 65
Sex: Male.
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 206 lbs
Appearance: Dellingr stands tall, with shocks of grey shooting through his deep black hair. He composes himself with pride. A scar crosses over his right eye, though it does not cut through his piercing green eyes. Dellingr usually wears a simple outfit of black military fatigues, with similarly black combat boots. He has taken to wearing a black and silver lined crushed velvet cape for matches in the Elite Four.
Personality: Dellingr is a very proud man, but he maintains his sense of vanity. Usually, his demeanor is friendly and welcoming, despite his gruff outward appearance. He treats his Pokemon with respect and offers the same respect to any challenger. Anyone who wishes to bring harm to innocent Pokemon, however, know his true fury.
Profession: Elite Four
Pokemon: Houndoom, Typhlosion, Flareon, Umbreon, Houndoom, Charizard
History: Dellingr started off his Pokemon career as a young hopeful trainer, leaving Vermillion City with a young Charizard. Rather quickly, he formed a tight bond with his young charge. Journeying to Johto, he met a young Cyndaquil and another tight bond formed. The three traveled together, strengthening up as they were joined by an eager young Eevee and a scared, orphaned Houndour. Then the war set in. Dellingr enlisted along with his Pokemon. Fighting in many battles alongside his trusted Pokemon, he was wounded, resulting in the scar across the right side of his face. His Eevee, now evolved into a Flareon, and Houndoom dragged him to safety. Despite his injury, he continued to serve, taking on an Umbreon who had lost her Master. When the war ended, Dellingr returned to his native Vermillion, where a fellow soldier, Lt. Surge, had taken over the gym. He trained with Surge for a while, rebuilding his strength, before setting out. He quickly defeated many of the Gym Leaders in Kanto, earning enough badges to challenge the Elite Four. He made it to the Third round before he was defeated. However, he was now charged and plowed through the Johto gyms, catching another Houndour in the process. This time, when he challenged the Elite Four, he succeeded in defeating them, taking his place as Champion. That position held for three years before he was unseated. Instead, he took a role as Second Challenger. For ten years he served as Second Challenger until the Fourth Challenger stepped down. Dellingr battled for the position and won, vacating his seat as Second Challenger. He has since served as Fourth Challenger. Dellingr is a major combatant with Team Rocket and has, more than once, foiled their schemes.

Personality: A little on the slow side for even your average ten-year-old girl, Lysie's parents did not want her to begin training. With a heart of gold and and in irresistible pout, however, Lysie managed to get their permission -- and a Wooper as a starter Pokemon. Naive as a newborn, most people wonder how long Lysie will last before something gets stolen.

History: Lysie's first and only poken was a young Wooper she immediately named Lolly -- only to learn the Pokemon's gender a day later. With supplies packed neatly by her mother and a letter of encouragement from her father, Lysie set out towards the Ilex Forest with Lolly by her side.
