So with a bit of freedom, she wandered through the Bird Clan, intent on finding Dinah and taking the time to catch up with her. Muujiza would have known if she had gotten married, but wasn't certain if there was someone Dinah was eyeing. Sometimes Muujiza missed that thrill of a crush, but she was so happy (and lucky!) to be with Skan.

It was amazing how long Dinah had been in one place. It was true that the clan moved around a fair bit but it certainly wasn't the same as being a rogue. She was through the worst of her anxiety but now there was something else to worry about. Though she had earned herself plenty of tattoos, she didn't feel like she belonged. Their traditions were strict and intimidating, especially for someone like her- or like she was before, she wasn't sure what she was like now.
She was hanging out by herself, it was a quiet day for everybody in the Bird Clan and that made it easy to stay out of the way. She was out in the open but she was quite content to stay by herself and not paying attention. It didn't seem that many others wandered by and she didn't notice when Muujiza came along.

"Dinah!!"
Muujiza yelled a bit loudly, but that was only the proof she had with how excited she was to see someone she considered a close friend. One of the few that really understood what it was like to be a rogue, and to change their ways to conform to pride rules. Perhaps she didn't need to 'change' as much as others, but it had still been an adjustment.
And it was all Dinah's fault that she was with Skan, which made the brown lioness adore her friend all the more.
"Oh, I've missed you Dinah!"

Dinah nearly jumped out of her fur when very suddenly she heard her name being called out. Wide-eyed, she looked around- double-taking back at her friend as she approached.
"Muujiza," she greeted her, smiling and pushing herself up to her feet politely, "It's been a while!" She knew her friend was busy, it didn't really bother her. She was happy to see her again, though.

Muujiza was nearly dancing on her toes. She was just so...happy. To be away, to almost feel like she had before she was married and with crazy adolescent offspring.
"It has. I feel so horrible about it, but I have some freedom right now! The boys are off in hunting lessons, and Skan is busy with his duties. The first thing I wanted to do with this free time is to see you! I miss just...being together like this with you. So, how have you been??" Muujiza was just so excited, and she was doing her best to check in her enthusiasm so it wasn't so overwhelming.

Dinah watched Muujiza carefully as she spoke, she seemed to excited- it was hard to believe she was just here for a visit but she wasn't sure what else really to expect. Truthfully, this was still more frequent than any other friends Dinah might claim to have visited- after all, everybody she had met before was rogue. It was another reason despite feeling like she didn't fit it, she was mostly OK.
"I have been doing well," she said, not wanting to complain or sound ungrateful by sharing her anxieties, it wasn't that bad- and as long as she thought that, it wouldn't be, "Keeping busy, though not as busy as you. How are all the boys? How are you?"

"They're boys. It's....harder than I ever thought it could be. I don't regret it, but there's times where its just nice to take a breath, all for myself." It was a huge undertaking that she felt she hadn't realized until she was carrying them inside. Once they came, it was even more complicated, but she loved it.
"I'm so happy to have a break. I wish time hadn't slipped through my paws so fast, I feel horrible for not trying to make time for just you earlier. I didn't think you'd want to be surrounded by the boys every time we wanted to see each other...so....I'm sorry."

Dinah listened eagerly but not without some anxiety- she needed to hear something opposite her normal expectation, something that would help her feel this wasn't such a difficult, strict place to be for someone like her. Unfortunately, Muujiza gave the honest parent-answer.. but it wasn't any different than she expected, so she smiled on. Muujiza was happy, that was important.
"I don't know how you do it," she said, smiling, "I'm sorry I don't have anything nearly as exciting to talk about."

"Oh Dinah!" Did Muujiza say the wrong thing? Her friend seemed so sad, and the brown lioness wasn't certain if it was her fault or not. She couldn't help it, and she wondered if there was something she could do for Dinah. Something that was subtle, that would help her feel better about everything.
"I don't know either, to be honest. I'm kind of just stumbling through this, hoping that the choices I make are the right ones. Kind of silly, huh?" She tried to offer a tired smile to her friend, hoping that it would help.
"Sometimes I wish I could have that feeling again, of not being very exciting. It all happened so fast, I don't even realized what happened."

"No! Not silly at all," she assured brightly, "You do a marvelous job!"
Dinah could see how hard Muujiza was trying and she knew her own anxiety was showing whether or not she wanted it to. She couldn't stop to dwell on it, though, not wanting to make Muujiza worry more. Her friend only knew her when she as at her lowest and for many reasons, Dinah had not come back from that. When she was starting to feel more comfortable being social, fear of old habits not being socially acceptable here slowed her down again.. but the alternative was to leave, abandoning those who had saved her and fending for herself again. That was the worst of the options. So she had to do her best.
"No," she disagreed again, smiling more sincerely, "Life needs excitement."

"Well, let's go have some excitement? Do you feel up to hunting? I'd be happy to go with you, get you up on your feet and moving." She paced around a bit, trying to show that she was ready to go as soon as her friend said yes. Hopefully Dinah said yes, but she wasn't going to insist any more than she already had.
Somehow, Muujiza wanted to make Dinah as happy as she was right now.

Never one to say no, Dinah hesitated only long enough to give her friend an almost tired but happy look and shake her head. It would be nice to have something to do in company she was familiar with, there was no denying that.
"Of course," she agreed, "Did you have anywhere in particular in mind?"

"We should go by the river. There may be a herd there, and see if we can pick one of the weak ones off."
Muujiza would be happy to have something to bring home to Skan if they were successful. If not, well, there were always other hunting parties, and other days to bring home some food to her mate and children. She was glad that she wasn't the only one teaching them to hunt, as they could be quite difficult when they wanted to be!

"Sounds like a plan to me," Dinah said brightly, "I don't think we've hunted there lately, we might be able to catch something by surprise." She wasn't sure how prey beasts made their decisions about where was and wasn't safe but a quiet area seemed a good choice to her. Plus.. everything needed water at some point.
Without any more hesitation, she stepped up beside her friend so they could walk together.
