Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Shina wandered into the stadium. She had signed up for a double battle, curious to try out the odd battle format. Hm, looked like the electric field today. Tenka would be thrilled. "Hello over there!" she called to the other trainer, fingering her pokeballs. "Let's have a great battle!

"Yeah!" Zinnia called from her side of the field. "Good luck!" She fingered the pokeballs that she would be using in the battle. Who should she send out first...? The field was bad news for her, and would only be helpful to her opponent. Zyk was the unlucky one in this case. But he had done so well in his fight against Rasha last time... He probably would want his moment to shine.
"You ready, guys?" she whispered to the silent pokeballs.

"Okay, you first, Shadow!" Zinnia called out, selecting her masterball. She pressed the button in the center twice-- once to enlarge it, and the second time to open it-- and Shadow materialized in her place on the field. "Earth Power!" Zinnia commanded
Shadow concentrated hard and caused the bottom of the stadium to erupt beneath the feet of her opponent. She wondered briefly how much the stadium spent on repairing damage dealt by pokemon...

Shina sent Rasha out first, only to have her take a nasty hit from a ground attack. Rasha saw red. She hated dirt! Without waiting for orders, she unleashed a massive Fire Blast.

"Earth Power again!" Zinnia cried out. It was the ponyta again! Zyk had managed to defeat her last time, but would Shadow have the same luck?
Shadow Mew used her powers to break up the floor below Rasha's hooves once again. Perhaps she would get lucky and all the leftover debris would cause Shina's pokemon to stumble, while she and Zyk would be left unhindered because they flew. Then again, she shouldn't have to rely on luck to win!

More dirt! Argh! Through her rage, Rasha heard her trainer call "Wild Charge!" Suddenly Rasha noticed all the electricity in the air. Oh yes. Rasha drew the staticy power into herself and unleashed it at the floating pokemon.

"Earth Power again!" Zinnia commanded. It was getting repetitive, but the attack was working. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Shadow's fur stuck out due to the electricity of the attack. It did not amuse the black mew. The ground exploded beneath Rasha's feet.

Rasha was nearly incoherent with rage. Her trainer may or may not have called out a different attack, but Rasha was going to ground that cat! She sent out another blast of electricity.

Apparently the system WAS broken! She covered her mouth in surprise as Shadow took a serious attack. What was the best thing to do? No-- she couldn't panic! She just needed some more time. "Earth Power!" she yelled.
Shadow gave a quiet hiss and attacked again.

By this point, Rasha was too peeved to have any thought beyond getting that cat to drop first. She blasted more power at the mew.

Rasha staggered from the powerful attack, but with the stubbornness of ponies everywhere, pressed on. Once again, she pulled in energy.

The pony had definitely left her mark, Shadow had to admit. She would be a formidable rapidash... Shadow hoped that she would not have to face her again! She attacked, and hoped that it would finish off the tough ponyta.
