Stepping off the train to arrive to the fairly wooded area some ways away from the campus, Shun shifted the bag of various supplies on his shoulders before glancing back towards Mitsu. It was supposed to be a little break from training and to spend some time with her, but he had a few other things in mind while they were here. Hopefully, it'd work out.
"Here we are," he stated while looking towards the deadish trees all around. Many of them were leafless but a decent amount were still covered with leaves of gold and orange. There might have been a few bones of various creatures around too. Not too far off, was a fear clinic; after all many people get injured while hiking. It wasn't too easy of a climb either. The Reaper had been here a couple times before though, so he had an idea of where they needed to go.
There was somewhat of a path that lead up the hilly and almost mountainous terrain. Alongside that, ran a river.
"I came out here a few times before for some outdoor training," he explained, "Aside from that, it's kinda a nice quiet little area you could say."

It was nice to have a little break from school. Normally Mitsu wasn't able to go anywhere but home and she really didn't consider that a break. In fact, she would much prefer to stay at school. So when Shun had suggested a little hiking trip the lycan was all for it. It was a chance to spend time with her reaper, be outside, and away from the chaos that seemed to be a normal day at Amityville anymore.
Packing was a little difficult, Mitsu wasn't sure what to bring but thankfully Shun had helped her out. With their things gathered they left for the weekend taking the train far out to the middle of no where it seemed. Mitsu was bright eyed the instance she stepped out of the train taking in the surrounding wooded area. There was a short pause as she breathed in taking in the smell of the forest that was far secluded from the smells of the city. There was no smell of trash or car exhaust. No sewers or factories, just dirt, plants, and fresh air.
She wasn't entirely sure where they were going so she stayed close to the reaper heading toward one of the paths. "Oh, so you've been here before?" Mitsu asked curiously. "It does seem nice and quiet." It seemed like it would be a good opportunity to relax and wind down from the holidays.

"Yeah, a few times," Shun replied while looking around. Over all it didn't look too different from when he was last here. There were a couple new small buildings, that likely were for supplies or food and the like. But there still wasn't much going on as far as people went. Walking towards the closest path, he paused to turn back towards Mitsu.
"So, you ready to get going?" he asked her, wanting to make sure that she was all set. Once they were further in on the trail, they won't really be by any of the buildings.Though, he figured they'd be fine. He had made sure to bring some food and drink should they need it while they were hiking about.
Even so, he just wanted to double check before actually starting.

The surrounding area was nice. Mitsu knew they had snacks but wondered if there would be any place nearby for food. She had never really been camping or hiking so being outside for a long period of time while exciting was new.
"I guess I'm ready?" She didn't think she needed anything. "I think I have everything." Mitsu just had to wonder though...what had been with all the rope Shun had packed. It probably had some sort of practical use so instead of questioning it she just let it go.

Nodding to Mitsu, Shun continued on down the trail with her. The wooded area, despite not being fully leaved, was still not very bright. It was still light enough to see, but it was somewhat of a moody and dim area. For the most part, it was a little gloomy spooky forest, but nothing too out there.
Along the trail, the Reaper paused as he spotted a little white flower on the path. Reaching down, he snatched it up, before offering quietly to the wolf girl.
"Have you ever gone out hiking before?" he asked as he did so.

The forest was a little dark and possibly a little gloomy but that didn't seem to matter to Mitsu as she followed closely behind Shun up the trail. She felt for sure nothing would go wrong and that they were much safer here than possibly they were at school anymore.
Mitsu only paused in her walk when Shun did, her eyes focusing on the flower he offered her. It seemed to be the brightest thing around, delicately white among the dark and gloom. Smiling brightly Mitsu took the flower carefully in her hands, a light blush on her cheeks as she moved it closer to sniff. She had only gotten a flower one other time, her brother had given her one on her birthday. While Shun had just found it and plucked it up it still meant a lot that he was thinking of her.
"No I've never.....never...ne-achoo!" Mitsu sneezed her eyes suddenly a little watery and itchy. For a moment she thought it had passed but shortly after she sneezed again sniffling as her nose started to tingle and twitch.

Shun furrowed his brow as Mitsu sneezed several times soon after sniffing the flower. It must have been loaded with pollen. Well, most likely it'd pass pretty soon.
"Ah. Well just stick by and watch your step. The ground tends to be a bit uneven, especially further ahead," he explained as he stepped over a small log, "It actually gets fairly rocky ahead too. But it shouldn't be something too much for you."
Well. It might, he supposed. When they reached the small rock face.

Rubbing her nose lightly Mitsu nodded. "I-achoo!" She sniffled again before she continued. "I will." Now it felt like her nose was starting to run.
As Shun stepped over the log Mitsu took careful steps to clear it as well. Looking ahead, the path did look a little windy and rough but nothing she couldn't handle. "It can't be any worse than Thunder Road right?" They had both endured quite a bit doing that class together but they had completed it none the less. Here at least there was no lightening to dodge. Though as Mitsu said that she could see storm clouds in the distance. They were still a ways off but she wondered now long.

"Yeah, nothing like that, of course," Shun nodded. There was no constant danger of getting electrocuted by bolts of lightning raining down on them every few seconds. No, it was supposed to be much more relaxed than that.
As she sneezed again, he frowned.
"..Are you alright?"

Again Mitsu sneezed, the flower still held firmly in her hand so she wouldn't drop it. "I...I think so?" She asked. Her eyes were watery and her nose had never been this itchy before. She could barely smell anything now.
"I don't know why I'm so -achoo!.....sneezy."

Shun stared at Mitsu and the flower as she continued to sneeze. He was still walking, but that didn't stop him from staring at her. Now and then, he just looked over towards his front to make sure he could see where he was going.
"..Perhaps I shouldn't have given you that flower," he murmured. It had to be the cause of the constant sneezing.

The flower? Mitsu looked to the flower and then back to the reaper as they continued down the path. "W..what? No, the flower was very sweet. I really like -achoo!- the flower."
By this point Mitsu had to wipe at her eyes as the tears started to fall from the random allergy attack. It didn't seem like she was willing to part with the flower though. She held it all the closer.

With a grimace, Shun was certain the flower was the culprit at hand here. Narrowing his eyes for the moment, he just paused. Then, without warning, he reached out to try and snatch the piece of flora back.
Note to self: don't get that sort of flower for Mitsu in the future.

Mitsu hadn't really been paying attention to how Shun was staring at the culprit to her allergies. She was mostly intent on paying attention to the path and the flower in her hands. It wasn't until he snatched it from her fingers that she realized his intentions, her eyes going wide and already teary from the sniffles.
"B..but Shun," She looked a little upset, only made worse by the fact her eyes were watery and her nose was snifflely. "My flower." It was almost a whine as she looked at him, her eyes pleading for him to give it back.

Looking over the flower for a moment or so, Shun soon looked back to the wolf girl, almost caving into those sad sad eyes. But no. He had to resist. This was for her own good.
And his own to an extent. Hearing a sneeze every few minutes was likely going to grate his nerves pretty quickly. Even if it was Mitsu.
"I'll get you a better flower another time. One that.. won't make you sneeze so much," he said before tossing it aside.
