Enekpe had been in high spirits of late - not that she was often in low spirits - what with the return of the sky and all. There was sun again! There were stars, and even rain. She'd never thought she would miss rain, but she had; she'd missed it just like she'd missed everything else that was normal. There was no rain today, though, just bright sun shining down on the happy little pooka and her floox-friend, whom she was attempting to teach how to dance.
If bopping around, wiggling, a little flailing, and next to no rhythm counted as dancing. If it didn't, the pair was ignorant of this fact, and also of the fact that they looked completely ridiculous...but were clearly having a blast, at least.

...How delightful !
Unknown to the two small balls of floof, they indeed were watched - from the lake, no less, and by something definitively reptilian, with only two blue eyes and a wild poof of wet blue mane peeking out of the water.
At least this one dragon lacked most of Tian Yue's sheer pooka-squishing size, through he slowly emerged more fully, less he scare the two little creature.
The floox was similar to his own, but the brown hooved one felt... different. And now he was curious.

En remained oblivious a little longer than her ridgeback companion, who stopped and yipped when she spotted the emerging dragon. It wasn't an alarmed sound, more a mix of greeting and intent to catch the pooka's attention. It worked, and Enekpe stopped her bouncing, turning to see who was here.
"Oh, hello!" She wagged her fluffy tail, not the least bit bothered that someone had witnessed her antics.

...It talked ! Well, she, if the voice was any pointer. "Hello to you too." He sniffed a bit at the little pooka. There was indeed something about her...Ah !
A gem... ? An host ! He couldn't help but be a little surprised. "You dance quite beautifully. Would you teach me ?"
He certainly had nothing against humoring hosts - it was quite a sacrifice they were making, and some did require the comfort and guidance. Even if this young lady didn't, well, maybe he would learn about who this bright blue gem belonged to....

"You mean don't know how to dance?" En's eyes went wide with a mix of surprise and dismay - how could anyone not know how to dance? How terrible was that?! For that alone, she would have helped him, but the dragon had also complimented her dancing, and so of course she would help! "Of course we'll teach you! Won't we, Ari?"
The floox chattered what was probably agreement.

"Well, it's been a long time." He padded his way out of the water, making sure to shake himself more-or-less dry far enough from the two fluffy beasts to not give them an unneeded shower. Only after that did he approach them.
"I could certainly use a reminder." Certainly he had danced before. Has he danced like this, as a dragon ? He didn't remember, couldn't.
If anything, it was a reason to build new memories.

"It's not hard," she assured him, "All you have to do is move, really! Mooove how you want, y'know?" The pooka sized him up while he shook and approached. He reminded her a lot of Tian Yue, but much much smaller. Not as small as Jin Huang, though, but he hadn't been in a dragon-shape...although he had said something about being the smallest.
"You're one of those Kings, aren't you?"

"I am." The dragon stood straighter, having obvious pride at being what he was. "I am Xun Jiang, Ti-Lung, the Lifewater of Worlds." An huge mouthful for a tiny pooka.
"And who might you be, little one ?" Sure, he was nowhere near as large at Tian Yue, but he was still bigger than her - and leaned in closer to idly sniff at her as she approached him.
"And who do you bear, if you do not mind me asking ?"

"I'm Enekpe!" She hadn't thought about it much before, but after being around all these gods, it struck her that her name was very short, very simple...but then, she was just a little pooka, so it made sense. "Kikechum - she's the Goddess of Animals."
En whuffled back at Xun Jiang when he sniffed at her, nose wiggling. "Can I call you something for short, or do I have to use the whole thing?"

As amusing as it would be, no, he didn't intend to have the young lady struggle her way through the whole thing. That would be a little much for common conversation, wouldn't it ? "Just Xun Jiang is fine." He said with a nod.
"Animals, hm ? Kikechum made a nice choice with you." It was definitively was a fitting pair, given the goddess within. "Greeting to you as well then, lady."
The sniffing continued a bit, but thankfully the dragon had no intention to eat Enekpe. Even if she hadn't been a host, he largely favored fish.

It had yet to cross Enekpe's mind that the dragon might eat her, much as it never had when she was speaking Tian Yue. Squish, possibly, or in the larger dragon's case, inhale too hard and suck her into his nose. That had occurred to her. Eating...not so much. It had mostly been people who had wanted to eat her, and that was a very long time ago now, by her reckoning.
"I thought so, too! Y'know, since I'm an animal and all. I guess everything's an animal, really, but...an I'm an animal-animal. Except I'm a little bit people I guess, since I'm sentient." The pooka was delighted to have opportunity to use that fancy word James had taught her.
"Anyway, she says hi," En presumed to tell him, although it was the short version of the goddess' greeting.

"Is all of your race like you ?" The dragon asked, suddenly a little curious. His examination over, he settled to laying down on the grass - Enekpe seemed to have forgotten all about the dancing lessons, after all.
She was... well, adorable, in lack of better word, but in a way it also made him wonder if she knew what she was truly in for. Well, it was too late for that now.

"Hmmm." Enekpe thought over this question for a moment. "Yes and no. All evolved pooka are sentient, and I guess they look a little like me - I never knew any. Regular pooka, they're smaller, and they don't talk or anything. I don't really understand how two of them make one of us and not another one of them."
She hadn't quite forgotten the dancing lessons, merely delayed them, because she did so love to talk.

Pookas ? He'd never heard anything about that kind of animal. "You never knew any ?" That seemed odd. But then, from her explanation, it sounded like her parents had been regular pooka.
"That does seems a little odd... You'd think two regular pooka would make a normal pooka, indeed. Are you the only evolved one ?"

"Nope! Anna got me when I was an egg, and I don't think there are many of us, besides. We're hard to make, somehow. I never really understood how it worked. You have to mix them some special way." There were many things no one had ever bothered to explain to her, but then, she had barely even been full-grown by the time everything had happened. "She did tell me that it was a blood pooka and an earth pooka."
