 Now that Genesis was free to leave Telrunya City, she thought it was time to explore and see what the island had to offer, before her training began at least. Genesis knew exactly what to search for, though not exactly where to find it. Though she had a map clutched in her hand, it was not proving to be as helpful as she had hoped.While there was no garden clearly marked on her map, she was certain that the Guardians would have made something more beautiful then the garden inside the city. Looking across the storm swept island, as far as her golden eyes could see, it was going to prove difficult to find anything. She wasn't going to be dissuaded by the mess though, it might prove useful to explore...

 Naomi closed her yellow gold eyes, spinning as she rose into the air. The weather after a storm was always her favorite time. There was little humidity, which always meant her hair would work with her rather than against her. The troubles of trying to look nice. The thought made her sigh.
After some time, her prismatic wings stretched. The fae stopped spinning and simply let the sun shine on her skin. Cool enough to leave goosebumps. Quickly her fingers slipped around her arms, rubbing them in an attempt to warm up a bit. With a frown, Naomi started to descend to the ground when something shiny and gold caught her eye. Was that another pae out? It had to be, nothing else could make that kind of shine from the distance. Oh guardians, there was another pae!
She simply couldn't wait, she had to greet the other. To make sure they were okay of course. Naomi grinned, zipping down towards Genesis as quickly as she could move. The orange fae couldn't resist the glee at finding another pae out there just after the storm!

As Genesis glanced up at the sky she saw a flash of bright color twirl across the sky a distance away. She tried to think about what it might be. It seemed like a rainbow, and those were supposed to appear after a storm... but she didn't recall learning that rainbows moved, and that was unusual. It stopped moving and Genesis squinted her eyes up at it, trying to get her vision to focus. As she was squinting was when the fairy started to dart down at her. Genesis couldn't help but take a slightly defensive stance upon seeing something race towards her at that speed, especially when she still hadn't made sense of what it was.
When it finally stopped moving Genesis took a moment to take it all in. What she saw was a vividly bright person with equally bright and gorgeous wings. Genesis flapped her feathered wings once or twice while she admired the wings of the other individual. This pae was blessed by the guardians, Genesis was sure of it. She knew she was looking at a fae, and while not as extraordinary as a blood pae such as herself, she was definitely magical. "Greetings," said Genesis plainly, forgetting that she had been slightly on guard after the fae had soared down to earth.

Naomi grinned wide only to blink, falling short of landing near Genesis. What had she done to make the other pae look so mean? She tried to think, coming up short. The grin on her face was fading quickly until the other spoke. Stiff.. The fae's head tilted, looking at the angel.
"Hello." She tried to be friendly. Simply saying greetings seemed a little rude to the blue orange girl. "I'm Naomi, it's nice to meet you." The smile on her face reappeared, though not as genuine as it was during her approach. It was hard to tell what was different about the angel, but there was something there.. Enough to send the adult into a few minutes of silence trying to figure it out at least. But this wasn't the time for that! Naomi kept smiling, looking the other over for injury.

Genesis noticed the smile on the angel's face falter and was confused, until she remembered her stance. "Oh..." she whispered under her breath, and loosened up a little. It certainly was going to be interesting to interact with someone who didn't know who she was and couldn't know who she was. This was necessary though, Genesis needed to know the citizens that she was so passionate about protecting. "My name is Genesis, it is... delightful to acquaint with you." The large words, might seem strange coming out of a teenagers mouth. It seemed like it might be suitable to apologize to the other pae since Genesis did seem to have upset her a little. "My apologies for coming off aggressive, to be completely honest, you startled me. I could not tell you were approaching." Genesis winced on the inside, this was incredibly awkward.

Naomi blinked, figuring that the language this girl was taught was what made her weird. Who spoke like that anyways? She'd certainly never heard anyone say stuff like that except for in the books that she'd managed to get her hands on. Well whatever, it didn't really matter to her all that much.
"I didn't expect you to look like you were going to attack me.." The fae frowned, folding her arms over her chest. It wasn't a rude or upset gesture, just one of habit. One had to do something with their hands than just leave them dangling at your sides! "I'm sorry if I shocked you at all.. I meant to make sure you weren't harmed, that was a nasty storm and a lot of houses were destroyed.."

Genesis was trying extremely hard to maintain a straight face and not imitate the frown on the fae's face. She had apologized, why was this fae still upset and accusing Genesis of trying to attack. "I most certainly was not going to attack you. If you looked at the way my body was positioned, I was in a defensive stance." Genesis tried to educate the person. Genesis wasn't really the attacking type to begin with, but standing her ground, that was more her style. Genesis sighed, she wasn't doing a good job at holding her composure or being polite, the fae's intentions were well enough it seemed.
Oh, the storm... where was she during the storm, she needed an alibi. Genesis couldn't just say 'oh I was locked away in Telrunya city, nice and safely tucked away.' Genesis ran her fingers through her hair as she thought up a place to be. Unsuccessful, Genesis tried to change the topic to the fae. "Were you injured?" Genesis asked, her voice now calm and collected.

She blinked, was Genesis trying to tell her how to use a defensive pose? Whatever, it still looked like the other was gonna attack her any minute in that one. Which Naomi of course felt the need to voice.
"It still looked like you were going to attack.. I suppose pae who don't fight don't really know the difference." The adult shrugged, only to tilt her head. Didn't she ask that question first?
"I'm not injured, but are you alright?" That was a bit of a lie. Her home had been lost amongst the harsh winds, and she'd twisted her ankle looking for her treasures in the wreckage. It explained why Naomi was floating gently above the ground.

Genesis sighed, she wasn't going to argue with someone who obviously didn't know the difference and couldn't be persuaded other-wise, but Genesis was frustrated with the fae none-the-less.
"Yes, yes I'm fine" Genesis insisted, she really didn't want to talk to much about herself, it was obvious that even knowing something about combat was a bit odd to this person, Genesis couldn't stand out anymore then she already was. However, this storm did make up a good excuse for a back story... it could explain a lot. "Thankfully the Guardians spared me during the storm, however headquarters was destroyed... that is where I resided." Genesis explained.
"You're not injured... you say... but..." Genesis furrowed her brow... the sentence seemed loaded, much like Genesis' own insistence that she was fine. There was something more there that she couldn't figure out.
"Are you assisting other pae?" Genesis asked her, letting go of her frustrations and feelings for a moment, it did seem that Naomi was trying to help her and was perhaps helping others as well. So much for finding that garden.

Naomi took a half float-step back, clearly Genesis didn't want to talk much about herself.. And then to spill all of that so quickly? It had to be a lie. The faery tilted her head, looking at the girl. It took a lot for her not to voice this thought. Naomi didn't believe youths should lie to their elders, but it wasn't something she was going to say outright unless it came up again.
"No, I'm not injured.." She left off the badly, knowing how loaded the question was. "Yes, I'm trying to help anyone I find. It was a major storm, a lot of pae were harmed during it and not everyone can take care of themselves right now." A frown had appeared on her face. Everyone was in a tizzy about the HQ being destroyed, there was an endless source of everything there, and now it was just.. Gone. There was a lot to be done and little time to waste.

Genesis tried really hard to prevent herself from sighing, this pae was being so difficult. Genesis couldn't see this thing getting any better, but she had to keep trying. This was going to have to be her last attempt, there wasn't much more she could do to recover from there shaky introduction. "Is it possible that I could assist you...? With assisting others I mean." Genesis questioned the fae, the fae would probably be more helpful with exploring the island then the no-good map in Genesis' fist. While she wouldn't admit it, she'd probably be lost on her own. It was much different doing things in actual then in theory.
"We could work together." Genesis waited for the rejection, she was sure she had angered this fae enough for one day.

She thought about it for a few moments, rubbing her arm. It would help to have another set of hands to take care of any other injured pae, but this was a weird girl.. The teen didn't even talk like the rest of the pae that Naomi had ever met..
But then, the efforts to help were too great. They could always use another hand to help anyone who needed it right now. "Sure, we can go together. Is that a map you're holding?" Naomi asked, having noticed it for the first time. No one just held a piece of paper for no reason. Out here it had to mean a map right? Who knew there were pae that still used those things

Genesis internally let out a sigh of relief when the fae told her she could come a long, on the outside she smiled politely and thanked Naomi. "Yes, this is a map, I thought it might be useful for exploring the island looking for settlements where there would be lots of people who might need my assistance." Genesis opened up the map and glanced at it. "Or perhaps to discover a garden." she threw in. Genesis stretched out her hand that was holding the map, offering it to the other pae. "It has proven useless to me, however."

Naomi smiled, looking at the offered map. Well it looked funny that was sure. "How old is this thing? None of this is right.." The fae looked at the teen questioningly. And talk of a garden? None of those around here.. It took her a moment to think of anything similar to one, the Loka Nei forests had a lot of pretty and relaxing spots and homes nearby too..
"I don't think there are gardens outside of what pae make on their own, but I know a clearing or two you might like?" Naomi handed the map back, assuming she didn't need it. She was used to flying the area, almost enough to make sure she knew the lands like the back of her hand.

"Oh..." Genesis sighed, disappointed that the fact that the island didn't have something more to offer for meditation purposes, but at least she could do part of her duty and help some people out and perhaps share something about the guardians. Genesis glanced at the map, which was in fact pretty outdated and from the library back at the city, it hadn't seemed possible to Genesis for the map to change too much, but she guessed change was possible, especially if more storms like this one had happened in the past. "I don't really know.... I found it while rummaging... but it doesn't mention a garden, those were just my own hopes. A clearing might be nice though." Genesis looked to Naomi, waiting for her to lead the way. "The Guardians have created some of the most beautiful things for us to enjoy." Genesis mentioned, trying to find out what this other pae thought of the guardians, without directly asking out of the blue.
