Thin
Is the air I breathe
Teary eyed nose runnin' wipe the snot on my sleeve
I'm callin' on the Savior to be all that I need
Please forgive me my behavior had me lost at light speed

The long walk back to Joshua's childhood home seemed a lot longer without a jacket on his back. Each raindrop that landed on his bare skin was like a needle p***k. He didn't know how on Earth Abby was able to withstand being out in this weather without a coat on. And from what he had seen of her the girl was out there for quite awhile.
In truth he would have rather him be the one coat-less than the girl. For all he knew Abby could be the next victor of the Hunger Games for next year. Joshua knew the blond had been training for the games since she had turned of age. He had seen her around the Town's training facilities and hiking trails for hours on end running, lifting, tracking, and shooting. If the girl ever did get picked the others would have a hard time keeping up with her. That's what Josh thought anyways.
As he made his way up the drive way to the door he stood outside in the pouring rain for a moment longer, before heading inside. He immediately heard his mother's soft musical laughter in the dinning room, followed by his father's and younger brothers. Josh knew he should go join them, as he wiped off his boots on the welcome mat, but he truly didn't want to converse with them. His body and mind were drained from the long patrol night, and he just couldn't put up with the banter of his family.
Josh quietly made his way up the steps to the second floor and his room. He closed the door behind him, letting the quiet of the room settle over him. "Finally, peace and quiet." As he made his way across his room to his bed, he started stripping his wet clothes, leaving them on the floor. Only in his boxers, Joshua collapsed onto his bed, closing his eyes. Hopefully he'd be able to sleep for a few hours before his mother came to look for him.
It's times like these that make me say
Lord if you see me please come my way
Leavin' bread crumbs for when I stray
Rely on sacrifice and the price you paid
