Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

A shiver ran down the spine of the trainer as he entered into the arena. Both he and Zue knew this field very well. He could feel the bat shivering a top his head, "Its alright Zue, we'll just have to do our best, like always."

The trepidation was not shared by the male trainer and his Zubat alone. Oh no, that was far far from the case. The prideful Marowak Rohe remembered her shameful defeat here with her body frozen and immobile by a cocky Rattata and she wouldn't let that happen this time! She rushed ahead into the field, a challenging "Maro!" erupting from her lips.
Mina, meanwhile, rushed to catch up to her Pokémon. The Marowak must have sensed something for her to have run off like that, and the trainer was surprised to see her Pokémon approach a challenge-ready field. When she saw what had driven Rohe so, she sighed. At least, she thought as her eyes strayed to see a familiar opponent, Zubats wouldn't be able to freeze their opponents.

Zue flapped off of its trainer's head and began to map out the area of the arena with is ultrasonic waves.
Zak had made his way to the trainer's box, upon arrival he got down to the gist of things and shouted out his first command towards his friend. "Confuse Ray!"
After it had located its opponent, using its hearing and senses the Zubat let out its ray in the pokemon's general direction

Whew, that was close. Mina had had her Girafarig use a similar move on countless opponents and she knew how deadly confusion could be, despite its simple implications. She would have to try to end the battle before it could do too much damage.
"Belly Drum, Rohe!"
Rohe easily complied. The move strengthened her desire to fight and her attack rose.

Zak flinched, well that didn't work out as well as he thought it would. They'd have to try the move later. "Alright Zue lets lower its defense with Shadow Ball!"
A small screech was given as a reply and the little bat began to focus before it shot a ball of shadow at its opponent.

Rohe roared her approval. Shaking off the Shadow Ball that had struck her earlier, she aimed shards of levitating stone towards the Zubat.

"No worries!" he called out to his companion. "Lets just focus now, Lets give it an Air Cutter attack!"
After regaining himself from the attack the bat began to whip up a mighty wind before setting it upon the marowak

Rohe's hardened helm protected her from the brunt of the attack, but air was hard to avoid and fresh cuts decorated her arms soon enough. Hoping to still, or at least stall the attack, she struck the ice with her bone until some rock lay exposed, and tried another Stone Edge.

He could tell that the last attack had been a critical hit by how much energy Zue seemed to have lost after the attack. "Confuse Ray Zue." Hoping this time the attack would work. It would at least give the two some time to recover from the two large attacks the Marowak did.

Rohe threw herself forward when the Zubat attempted to confuse her. She slid to safety quickly atop the ice, and before it could have another chance to try again, she directed the remaining stones towards her opponent.

After the Critical hit. Zue had fainted, before the bat hit the icy surface Zak recalled it. "Nice Job Zue. Battling rock pokemon are hard arnt' they?" he told his pokemon.
Turning to his opponent. "Nice battle, you had the upper hand the entire time. once we get stronger, I shall have to request a rematch."

"I'll look forward to it," Mina replied, recalling her own Pokémon. She was eager to see how the people she knew would change and grow as time passed, and this trainer was no exception. Of course, she wouldn't make it easy for him to surpass her -- she would be working hard, too.
"We'll see you around!" she called in farewell before leaving the stadium.
