Water field:Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types.This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

The male entered the water stadium, pleased that it wasn't the ice one. Several times had they battled upon that stage and several times they had lost. The Zubat on his head wasn't very fond of the cold and he was relieved that this stage didn't seem that it would give the two trouble. He had gotten used to the bat always clinging to his head. Not that he minded anyways, Zak wasn't the type to force a friend to do what it didn't feel like doing. The two of them were always seen around the Stadium, weather they won or lost these battles always strengthened their bonds of friendship.

Mina ran to claim the half-occupied Stadium, offering an amiable wave as she climbed up to the trainer's platform. Her Pokémon's opponent would be an adorable Zubat, it seemed, but she didn't let that stop her from thinking this would be an unfair fight. She had seen her own share of small Pokémon capable of easily downing her own (most of the experiences first-hand) and she wondered what surprises the other would hold.
"Good luck!" she called with a smile, throwing her Pokéball into the field.
Trist blanched when he solidified, ears raised with alarm at the field he found himself in. What was he doing, balancing on a platform in a large pool?!
A quick look around assured him in a stadium, and he would have face-palmed were he able. He knew there was a reason he disliked battles, and he stared between his reflection upon the rippling water and the winged Zubat who would no doubt face no trouble holding his ground in this field.

Zak gave a wave back, nearly mirroring Mina's "And to you," He replied after she had wished them good luck. He gave a small glance up towards his pokemon. "Alright Zue let do this." Once the bat was off his head Zak finished making his way to the trainer's platform. When ready Zak shouted his first command. "Zue lets start out with a Confuse Ray!"
Zue gave a small screech and it flapped its wings flying about, sensing the location of its opponent it focused its ray towards Trist.

Oh geeze, this wasn't starting off good at all.
"You can do it, Trist!" Mina called reassuringly. "Try to confuse it, too!"
Trist backed away tentatively from the water, his vision askew. He had dealt confusing blows enough times to recognize the symptoms, and he drunkenly shook his head in a vain effort to clear it. At the very least, he could hear his trainer, and he aimed a Psybeam at the Zubat, hoping to level the playing field.

"Snap out of it Zue," he called out to his companion as he saw the odd flying movements the bat was taken. "Bite it Zue," he commanded hoping the confusion wasn't as affective as it seemed.
His sonic vibrations were spinning or was it his head, he couldn't really tell what it was. Though through the fuzziness of it all he had heard his trainer and attempted to seek out his opponents location, to attempt at bite attack.

Things were looking down already. The Zubat appeared to have shaken off his confusion, but Trist looked far from it. Sadly, his long legs were prone to entanglement when confused, but he seemed off to a good start.
"Psybeam again, but try to knock him down this time!" she called.
Trist, balancing precariously atop the platform and concentrating on the simple act of holding himself up, distractedly released more beams of psychic power, although by this point he didn't focus much on aim.

Zak nearly flinched as his friend was hit with the psychic attack and it seemed to do quite a bit of damage. He could tell that his energy was zapped quite a bit with that attack. "Zue lets try an Air Cutter!" he called out, hoping that his friend has snapped out of his confusion.
His head had cleared, but apparently not fast enough to dodge the incoming psychic attack. Hearing the command from its trainer the bat began to flap its tiny wings harder

The Zubat had shaken off its confusion quickly, it seemed -- not entirely unexpected, but it still didn't change the fact that it put Trist at a disadvantage.
"Psybeam!" she called, hoping that the repetition would allow him to function despite his confused state.

The male was quite glad that Zue wasn't affected by his confusion anymore, it was giving them the upper hand on the situation. "Alright buddy lets try biting it one more time.
Dodging the attack the bat swooped down aiming to bit his opponents behind. An aerial attack from behind should do the trick

Trist drew himself up, somewhat steadily. The confusion appeared to be wearing off -- at the very least, he knew he had missed his last attack. Skittering forward to awkwardly dodge the small bat, he craned his neck to try and hit it with another Psybeam.
