The jungle was in view now, she could see it. The pregnant female Aysha walked along enthusiastically beside her friend, Mteuli. They had been traveling together for quite some time now... or at least the amount of time it had take them to get from the Southlands to the jungle.
"Wow," she said, suddenly stopping to stare at it in wonder. She hadn't actally seen a jungle before, despite all of the places she had been. Some had an oasis or two, but most of the land had been desert. The young lioness marveled at the new sight.
"This is your home?" she asked her friend in awe. This place really was amazing..
"I think the cubs will like it here," she stated simply and happily, a small smile beginning to form on her maw and she started forward again. She was starting to welcome her pregnancy and anticiapte it. Now, it seemed, she couldn't wait for them to come.

Mteuli loped easily along side her, matching his pace with hers. As she showed her feelings of awe toward the jungle he could only smile. Yes, he was extremely greatful for his home, for no matter how many other lands he traveled to, the place where he started always seemed the best.
"Just wait until you see what it's like inside," He told her with a grin as he walked ahead slightly, jumping up onto a fallen truck that stuck out before the beginning to the jungle. He turned back and looked at her, waiting there. If she liked the outside, he couldn't wait to see her face when she got deep into the heart of the forest.

Aysha, once she had gotten over most of her awe-struck surprise, followed quickly after the male. She stopped when she reached the trunk he was standing on.
"I can't wait!" she exclaimed, her ears perked forward to the fullest and her tail flicking about curiously behind her. This really did seem like the perfect place to go about raising her cubs..

Mteuli smiled and moved slightly to the side, making a motion with his large paw, "Well then don't...ladies first." He ushered her forward, amused and pleased with her reaction to the place. While he hadn't thought she would dislike it, it would have been quiet a task to coax in her in she found it to be something she wasn't looking for.

Aysha bounced excitedly then suddenly darted forward. Pregnant or not, her energy never seemed to run low. "Come on Mteuli, I'll race you there!!" she cried out, disappearing randomly through the brush.

Okay, Mteuli had disappeared for long periods of time before, but this time he really had his twin worried. He'd been missing for a few weeks now, almost a month! What if he was hurt, or...
Mteule had refused to accept the second as a possibility. They'd been out searching and had no luck so far, but today would finally bring relief.
"Mteuli!" Matifu approached with wide eyes, but kept himself as calm as able. There was a female in his company and Matifu did not want to startle her. He right away noticed the sign of pregnancy by her swollen abdomen, and-- gulped. He shouldn't jump to wild conclusions but-- oh hell, what was so farfetched about the idea?! Mteuli disappears for weeks, Mteuli finally returns, with a female. With a PREGNANT female. She was showing in roughly the right time frame for Mteuli to be the father.
..... Mteule was going to have a litter of his own when he found out, if it was at all how it looked. >_>
"Pardon the intrusion, miss-- Mteuli, your twin has been driving everyone batty! You had the whole pride worried, where did you disappear off to?"

Mteuli was about to agree with a playful growl to her request when his ears perked. He turned his head, hearing Matifu's familiar voice and finally caught sight of him as he moved into closer range. He was about to greet the male in his normal, relaxed and friendly way except Matifu hurried into questioning him first.
"Well," Mteuli replied, calm and smooth as always, "I went aways, as I always do in duty of finding those lost of our pride and ran across this little lady again. I offered to bring her her and she seemed to like the idea, right Aysha?" He tilted his head, glancing at her with a smile.
He didn't metion her being violated by another male lion. It wasn't his place to speak of such things-after all, it was her business and he wasn't going to go spreading it around without her express permission.

Aysha was ready to sprint off in a chase or a game of tag of some sorts. But all thoughts were quickly forgotten when she heard, smelled, and saw another lion coming their way. He looked a lot like Mteuli, but she was in no state to go making connections; she was still fearful of any male she didn't know.
So she immediately lowered her head and darted behind her friend, glancing out and at the other who approached them and seemed to know Mteuli.
Twin... so this was her friend's twin! Amazing...
When she was spoken to, the pregnant female boldly came out from behind the other. She knew that he wouldn't let any harm befall upon her or the unborn lives inside of her.
"Yeah, I have no other place to go, and the freelands or whatever weren't looking very safe anymore..." At least, they had stopped seeming safe after that one night that caused her to become swollen with little lions. Which, at this particular moment, happened to decide that now was a wonderful time to squirm around a bit.
The young lioness winced slightly as she sat down. The pains had started growing in the last week, and she was worried of what it might mean. Would she be able to handle things?

Matifu, unaware of the mixup, looked to Aysha and calmed considerably. Right... okay, he had obviously jumped to the wrong conclusion, however obvious it might've been. He looked the part of relieved (though one could chalk it up to finding the Earth-priest).
"We were beginning to think the worst, what with Tanashita's and Kifo's disapperance before yours."
He didn't say it to guilt trip the other, he knew Mteuli wouldn't do such a thing intentionally, he just wanted him to know why he and his twin reacted the way that they did. All in all, Matifu was happy to see the boy that he'd known since his birth, alive and unharmed.
"My apologies to the both of you. Allow me to introduce myself." He flashed a quick smile to the female and bowed forward on his front legs dramatically. "I'm known as Matifu, and your name is Aysha, is it? Mteuli, don't keep her waiting on my part. I'm sure that you'd both like to rest after trekking this far from the freelands."

"Ah...I'm sorry for worrying you. I really had no intention of doing so," Mteuli said appologetically. Sometimes he forgot how much he could be missed, especially when many of the others of the pride thought he did so little to contribute in the first place.
Mteuli smiled over at Aysha, "Matifu is a good friend of mine...I've known him since I was little. Though I suppose you want to rest and meet my twin, yes?" His tail swished to the side smoothly, seeming to find the entire situation rather normal and easy to manage.

Aysha smiled at the other male. It was nice to meet lions who actually welcomed you instead of chasing you off or just growling and assuming before actually taking the chance to realize or ask what was happening.
Yet the female soon found herself confused. This was Matifu... she thought... arg. She shook her small head, ears pressing down against her head. It seemed that she hadn't taken the time to really glance at the new lion. She had just glanced at the color of his pelt and assumed. Gosh, she was really out of it today. Must have been the pain distracting her..
"Oh, y-yes, I'm Aysha. Heh, it's a pleasure to meet you Matifu." Then she blinked over in her friend's direction, her stomach still pained. "A rest would be nice..."
Suddenly her stomach grumbled, voicing her next thoughts before her mouth had a chance to. Looking up at the two males, the young lioness displayed an embarassed look. She really wasn't doing things too smoothly today.

Matifu simply chuckled, hearing the female's stomach protest hunger. There was nothing to be embarassed about as all of them here had to have suffered growling stomachs before. Instead he began to think. He was one of the pride's hunters, he'd see to it that their guest was fed.
"Mteuli, why don't you two go on ahead? I'll hunt something down and bring it back to the pride lands."

Mteuli nodded, his smooth attitude of ease remaining obvious as it almost always did, "Sounds like a plan. See, Aysha? We can get some rest and have something to eat...I'm sure some of the others are sharing your feelings of hunger too." He smiled charminly at her, something as easy for him to do as it was to breath.
He gave a respectful nod to Matifu and a smile, before moving in the direction of the heart of the jungle. He glanced back over his shoulder, peering at Aysha with emerald orbs, making sure she would be alright following along still.

Aysha nodded in agreement to the whole plan. Once she was able to actually settle down with a full stomach she would be able to completely relax. But until then, her cubs seemed to think that it was fun to move around a lot.
Wincing only slightly in pain, she got up and followed after the twin who was her good friend, ready to see the place that she and the new lives inside of her would call home for a long time yet to come...
"Yes, I fear that they won't settle down until they're fed," she chuckled, loping along easily after Mteuli.

Matifu gave a small smile after them before turning to head off on his own to hunt down some food.
