WELCOME TO THE GUILD
You're in . . . now what?

1 - As is the usual first rule, please follow the Gaia ToS. I know you don't read it, and truthfully, I never read it, but you should know the basics, right? Just keep it clean. This applies to all, even the staff and myself.

That was rule one, now let us move on.

2 - As a general second rule, I am the ruler of this Guild. I have final say in all matters. When I'm indisposed, or just feeling lazy, you answer to any and all of the Vice Captains. They're my second in commands. If that fails, listen to the crew. They're still above you, and deserve respect.

That was rule two, now let us move on.

3 - You're not an idiot. Be courteous. Be kind. There will be no flaming, spamming, or general rudeness in my guild, or you're banned. Simple as that.

That was rule three, now let us move on.

4 - Just because you can hide behind a screen and do your dirty work without anyone truly holding you physically responsible, doesn't mean you have to make other people cry. It's called cyber-bullying, and I will have none of it.

That was rule four, now let us move on.

5 - Three strikes and you're out. Unless you really piss me off, then it's an automatic out. While it may not seem fair, you should know what lines not to cross. If you cross them, it's your a**.

That was rule five, now let us move on.

6 - SWEARING. Let's keep it to a minimum, alright? I'm fine with the occasional use of 's**t' or 'a**', or even 'fuc.k', but you're not a sailor, and there are children present. So keep that in mind. Also swearing generally says that you're unintelligent and you cant think of a better way to put it other that 'fuc.k you'.

That was rule six, now let us move on.

7 - ROMANCE. This is a business. [Yes, laugh it up. But to me, and others, it's an important matter.] Keep your love life out of it please? I don't want to have to kick you out, simply because you're looking for an internet [boy/girl]friend.

-- On a side note, you do not know who you are talking to. For all you know, I'm a 40+ man who's just looking for a little boy/girl to coerce into my windowless white van in a suspicious [and suspiciously empty] part of town. All I can say about that is you've just got to be careful in who you trust. Online interaction has it's perks, but it's got major downsides.

That was rule seven, now let us move on.

8 - If you join, you're active. If you're not active, then you're out. Seriously, I know you have your excuses. Like, for instance, it's finals, or your birthday, or a meteor is hurtling toward your residence, or you're on the run from the government of some alien world just because you stole their windowless white van that just so happens to be a valuable spaceship. Bottom line, if you're crew, you've got a job. Contribute. If you're a member, you've got a job too. Learn.

-- Another side note, let me or someone else of the crew or higher-ups know if you're going to be gone for a period of time. This applies to role plays and [interactive] tutorials. I don't want a random message from someone I've never talked to telling me they can read through the tutorials or what-not because they're going to visit some dying relative on the moon.

That was rule eight, now let us move on.

9 - Please, for the love of all that is still pure and holy, DO NOT use text speak while posting. The occasional LOL is fine, and I'll even go as far as JK or LSHTMSFOAIDMT, but watch it. I tend to get confused easily, and so does the rest of the general population of human beings.

That was rule nine, now let us move on.

10 - I don't want to re-read posts to understand them, and I hate being a grammar nazi. Please try to spell and use grammar correctly. That's what spell-check is for. If you don't have spell-check, find a dictionary. If you don't, you apparently live under a rock, which is still not a valid excuse. You don't live under a rock if you have internet.

That was rule ten, now let us move on.

11 - The big OOC is for anything totally unrelated to the actual guild. So . . . I'm not going to say 'spam away', but feel free to enjoy talking about pretty much anything.

That was rule eleven, now let us move on.

12 - I retain the right to add, edit or delete any and all rules that I see need to be. If I think that it's not working out anymore, or it's not getting the point across, it will get edited/deleted.

That was rule twelve, so we might be done.

13 - Crew and members are allowed to freely post tutorials and role plays. Any member is allowed to post one, but they must run it either through myself or a VC. If we aren't available, ask a crew member. Also, any non-crew that posts a role play or tutorial MUST put [PENDING] in front of the title of their tutorial or role play if it has not been given the go-ahead by a superior. If you want to request a tutorial, you're still free to do so though. Remember to use the forms correctly, please.

That was rule thirteen, so we're still moving on.

14 - Crew Quarters is for crew only. So stay out.

That was rule fourteen, now let us move on.

15 - I am a firm believer in the 'three strike' rule. You get two warnings. After that. you're gone. Unless your first or second grievance is great enough to automatically get you a one way ticket to the ban list. [I.E. no pissing off your superiors.]

That was rule fifteen, so we might be done this time.
