Today was a lovely day to neglect responsibilities and explore with all fours on the ground.
Riyo was still trying to get the hang of her new-found feline form, but more or less she was enjoying every minute of it. People tended not to notice her as prominently as usual when she roamed around as a small red-eyed black cat, and that was truly something magical. Moreover, fitting into small places and walking on the edges of fences was also a bit of a thrill. Like she was discovering new paths that were meant only for her.
Today, after being startled into her smaller form, the bakeneko decided to take a trip up to the rooftop of the demon dorm. Why? Why the hell not? Who would question a cat on a roof? Who actually went up to the roof?
It was peaceful, being able to overlook the academy and watch the little ants go about their daily rubbish. She could spot a couple people she knew down there, though even more that she didn't.
Silently, she took a seat at the edge, tail swaying behind her as she intently watched her own little Skree-V show, unconcerned that somebody might disturb her.
... Which was probably a mistake.

It wasn't THAT rare to see Roch outside the demon dorm. The purple haired punk stopped by regularly to see Danny and a few others. But he stopped on the path in front of the school, looking up at the roof, his hands in his pockets as he seemed to be thinking something.
Then he disappeared, leaving a tiny puff of black smoke behind him. And the punk appeared on the rooftop right next to the cat, catching his balance with a smirk. "Theeere we go," he said, standing up. "Now... let's see..."

The cat's head tilted to the side as she noticed a familiar purple-haired boil standing in front of the dorms, her mind immediately shooting back to the little 'incident' of Christmastival. He was a reaper, right? So... What the Hell was he-
When Roch disappeared, Riyo's eyes tried to find him on the ground in confusion... Until he appeared right beside her. The feline let out a loud yowl of surprise as she jumped two feet in the air... Which was probably a bad thing being so close to the ledge.
'OH s**t OH s**t'. Her front paws managed to catch the bricks before she went tumbling to her death a few stories below, claws clinging for dear life.

"Whoa!" he said, his eyes widening as he dove, catching the kitty. "Careful, screechheart!" he said, tugging her up and ignoring the fact that she was probably going to rip him apart with her claws. He was used to that, honestly. "Wow, you're a beauty," he said when he saw her better, grinning as he gently put her down on the roof.
He reached into his pockets, searching for something and pulling out a FEAR treat. "Want?" he offered.

Roch pretty much hit the nail on the head as far as getting clawed went. Riyo's thoughts were to let the a*****e pull him up, then go to town on any bare skin she could find.
That was, until his comment hit her ears. Riyo's paws had reached out to grab one of his arms for the ceremony of the scratching post, but abruptly stopped as the word 'beauty' left the reapers mouth.
The little black feline went limp in his arms, staring up at him in awe. Had he just called her beautiful? Nobody had ever called her beautiful... And with a 'wow', no less...
Before she realized, the ghoul was back on the ground staring up at the boil who towered over her. What was that? A FEAR treat? She was no common minipet! Finally snapping out of her daze, the small cat turned her nose up to the treat with a huff and began the arduous task of setting her fur back in place. It was something she still wasn't entirely used to, but by that same token she didn't like looking unkempt.

"Not hungry, huh?" he said, pocketing the treat, not offended at all. "That's fine," he said, getting onto his knees. Then, a bit surprisingly, he leaned over the edge of the roof, peeking into the window below them. "Mmmmm... not this one," he said after looking for a moment. He got up, then looked at her.
"Do YOU know where Johnny Danger's room is?" he asked her, an evil grin on his face.

Huh. This boil seemed to have a high tolerance for smaller animals. Or maybe it was just cats? hard to tell. Either way, the cat continued to groom herself when Roch leaned over the ledge, eventually getting curious and peeking over herself. What was he looking at? A window? Wait. Was he peeping into some ghoul's room?!
Oh. Oh, okay. He was looking for some guy... Which, she supposed could still be as equally invading, but it stuck better in her mind.
The feline had heard that name tossed around a couple of times, but it really held no significance to her. The ghoul had never really kept up with rock bands and stars. They were of little importance to someone with a business-oriented mind... Though that evil grin bothered her. She remembered it well.
Pausing her grooming session, Riyo shook her head. Sure, it was an acknowledgement that she understood what he was saying, but she wasn't going to act like the average house cat in hopes he wouldn't realize she might be a student. Jack help her if she somehow accidentally changed back in the middle of this. That would be hard to explain...

"Yeah? Hmmm," he said, moving across the roof to look into the next window, then he jerked away, his neck turning bright red. "Ah... probably shouldn't have done it like this," he said, sitting down. "But seriously, people, close your jackin' windows if you're going to change in the middle of the--well, evening," he muttered, looking embarrassed as hell.
He looked over at the cat again. "You ah... aren't STUCK up here, are you, screech? Cuz I can get you down if you want!"

Riyo had to wonder why this Johnny guy was so important for the boil to be up on the roof like this. Was it his mortal enemy? Was he planning to break into the guy's room and gank him in his sleep? Did he have a crush on this guy? The evil grin could insinuate a number of things, after all.
Op, look at that. The ghoul had called it. Tail twitching as he pulled his embarrassed head up, a small mew escaped the cat's mouth, as if trying to say 'that's what you get'.
But as for needing help down, the small black kitty shook her head again and took another glance over the side. The whole friendly front could very well be a ruse, and one slip-up might have her over the side of the roof.

"Eh, I was just gonna waste the evening anyway," he said, looking up at the moon that was rising into the sky. "I don't gotta work the streets anymore, so I got way too much free time on my hands."
He then proceeded to lay on his back, his head resting on his hands as he looked up at the sky. He yawned. "Are you really a minipet or are you a monster or demon?" he asked her curiously.

W-work the streets?
The feline's eyes widened at those words. Wait. What did that mean precisely? Was he one of those... Male escorts? Or something like that? Isn't that what that meant? Riyo didn't really know, considering she'd come from a well-to-do family. No. That couldn't be, could it?
Following the boil's gaze to the sky, the feline's ears twitched at the question. She could be honest with him... If the ghoul was anywhere near as good at changing back as she wished she was. She had kinda gotten used to it happening spontaneously, though. Generally it was when she stopped thinking about it that her body slipped back into it's true form.
So for now, she just gave a shrug of her haunches. Wasn't like he'd asked her a yes or no question, and unless he spoke cat there wasn't much she could say.

He cocked his head, watching the shrug. "So one of the two, huh?" he said with a smile. "Or just one of those super smart familiar type pets. You're smarter than my cat, by far," he added, holding out a hand and summoning his guitar. But it didn't look as if he was going to attack or anything, he just brought it up so he was holding it.
"Oh, should probably keep it quiet, huh," he said after a second. "Wouldn't want the naked chick noticing I'm up here," he added, letting the guitar dissipate again.

Well, he certainly wasn't the brightest bulb in the pack, was he? It didn't seem like many boils she met here were. At least they didn't act like it when she was around.
One thing could be said for the reaper, however. He threw out compliments like breadcrumbs to birds. First he said she was a beauty, then smart... Though, she really shouldn't think much of it. She WAS a cat after all.
Riyo's thoughts were once again shattered when the boil summoned his weapon, causing her to jump a few feet back. Was she scared? No. Cautious? Oh Hell yes. To her, it was JUST a weapon. She never really thought about it having musical properties...
When no attack came, the cat tilted her head and stared up at the guitar as it dissipated. What? had he been about to play something? Music was nice. She liked music.
The black cat gave a loud meow at the sight of the guitar leaving in an attempt to encourage Roch to forget about the dumbass who left her blinds open and just play something. Music would go nice with the rising moon, after all.

He looked at her, frowning. "But if I get caught on the roof and people think I was peepin', I might get kicked out--" Then he stopped, snorting as he remembered just HOW many times he'd died at this school. "Screw that," he drawled. "They can kick me out if they want." Then he held out his hand again, summoning his guitar with a fist. His guitar gleamed in the light of the rising moon, strangely beautiful for a kid that seemed a bit rough around the edges. For a second he flicked a finger over the edge, frowning slightly. "Needs sharpened," he muttered before shrugging it off. He slipped the strap over his head, thinking for a moment. Then he started to play one of his slower songs, Believe in Angels. Because he still didn't feel like playing moonflower.

Well, technically, he WAS peeping. A shame she couldn't tell him that, but at least she got what she wanted. Huh. It was fairly easy to do as a cat.
Riyo, being the victor, proudly sat next to the boil and watched as the instrument reappeared. She wouldn't deny (to herself, at least) that the way it glistened in the moonlight was pretty cool. Very... Enchanting.
But it was even better when he played. The song was soothing, which was generally the kind of music she preferred to listen to anyways. It sorta reminded her of that day when she was young, running across a boy playing a violin. One of her fondest memories of childhood.
Sighing, the small cat curled up and laid down, her ears tuned in to the music while she closed her eyes and relaxed. There was a soft purr rising from her throat as he continued to play, and for a short while after he was done.
