Miles afar from the Seireitei resides a you will come across a mountain, one that does not seem to appear visited often, but signs of travel are there. For the majority of the base of the mountain about until you reach the top it is fairly barren and desolate But going up the mountain is not to hard due to stone steps being available but look rather worn out with time and seem to break apart. As you come to the middle you notice a small stone grave marker with a mask of a oni mounted onto it, but also notice some worn out writing on the stone marker but cant make it out.

Just as you come to the top you start to notice a thick and dark forest. For the most part it seemed pretty normal with plenty of trees, plenty of plant life, and lush grass. The only that stood out was the entrance into it, had what seemed to be a stone archway that had demon like inscriptions on it. Then as you passed the archway you noticed a stone brick path, with torches lite all along the path, and extended all the way to the end. Now at the end was a large opening with a little stream running threw it, but it had a wooden bridge to cross, that had a few lanterns on each end of it, and the rest of the area was mostly bare but with the exception to the only building there.

A small looking wooden house with a few windows, fire wood in front of it and just above the door was a sigh saying " A Drifters Bar " but for the most part it was pretty plain. As you enter the inside of the bar you notice at the far end a bar table, with a bit of a alcohol selection, as well some glasses, a few tables around the room with four chairs each, and then on the walls themselves were a few different items. Of course some candles hanging of the wall, but also many different types of weapons and masks seemed to clutter the walls for the most part.

What the hell was up with this place? Haru's thought process was simply this the whole time he was walking up to where this crazy, secluded house had been. Why in the world had he been ordered to meet with a man who decided to welcome someone by making them climb up a damned mountain? Well, he was ordered to do so, so Haru had no choice but to follow the order, no matter how odd he thought it was. And so, after walking up the ENTIRE mountain path, and then somehow finding his way through the blasted forest of malevolency, he finally came upon the lone house in the ENTIRE DAMN FOREST. Needles to say, Haru was somewhat tired, and the fact that he had come upon a bar was a slight reprieve. There would be drinks inside, though he would try to abstain from the alcohol at all possible. The last time he had gotten drunk...well, he would rather not recall what he was told afterwards.

Pushing the door open slowly, Haru tried to see if anyone was inside, to try and get a drink somehow. But, what would open expect, coming upon a bar that was on top of a MOUNTAIN, in the middle of a FOREST where you thought something was going to come out and eat your very soul. His expression turning into one of slight annoyance, Haru thought he could feel his left eye start to twitch at the thought of meeting the one who had invited him all the way out here. Walking into the bar and sitting on the first stool he came near to at the bartable, Haru sighed to himself and looked around, trying to see if anyone had heard the door open and come in to serve a customer.

"Anyone here?"

It was a quiet day on the mountain of the drifter, a bit warm, the wind blew ever so slightly and the birds were chirping to their hearts content. Otherwise this place was usually a quiet place with the odd traveler now and then. But the owner of the war was okay with that for he felt peace with this solitude of his away from civilization or at least he did once in his life. Inside the quiet bar the wood cracked ever few minutes, the sun light beamed threw the windows, and one table in the far right of a corner.

A certain man had decided to take a nap before his expected guest and oh did he sleep his day away peacefully. His expression though was quite blank as he dozed off into his own realm of dreams, which to him were more then nightmares of his past and continued to haunt him to this day. But as he sleeping he sudden had heard someone enter the building and asking if anyone was around.

Slowly he stood up quietly and while hiding his presence to the best of his abilities he took the chance to see if it was friend or foe. " Who is this...? Perhaps...? "But looking at the person he did seem to give off any killing intent but none less he would be cautious as to how he would approach him.

"Good afternoon good sir... Who might you be to come upon this secluded little bar of mine...? Care for a Drink? "

With out averting his eyes from the man he slowly stepped over the bar to get two mugs from under the counter inside of the cupboard. He pulled out two large metal mugs with odd inscriptions all around on them and he then placed them down in front of him on the bar top counter. He pulled out a rag from down bellow as well and quickly whipped out each of the two mugs and waited for the man to respond to his questions.

Almost falling off the barstool as a man spoke behind him, Haru slammed his hands on the bar's tabletop, trying to hold himself in place so he didn't look like a complete moron and fall to the ground. Oh, his left eye was twitching now. First, he spent all day walking up a mountain and through a forest to a bar that he had never heard of, and now he was being taken by surprise from the only man in the bar, who somehow seemed to appear from nowhere. What had Haru gotten himself into? Sighing deeply, Haru's eyes took in the man as he walked past, and his appearance was....well, to say the least a little odd. With a straw hat, and then a strange oni mask covering his face, the man was a little more than frightening. Why, oh WHY, was Haru always the one given the assignments where he thought he was going to be killed? First there was a Hollow extermination that turned into a kidnapping, now this?! By all means, his emotions and thoughts never crossed his face-he knew better than to show them-just a simple blank stare while in his mind he was freaking out.

Calm yourself, NOW. Haru seemed to actually look now, as he turned his head over towards the oni look-alike now behind the bar. "Erm...anything non alcoholic would be good, thanks." No alcohol, if he could help it. Even if this place was creepy, he didn't want to end up destroying it. A question the man asked Haru though had caught his attention. Was he just playing with Haru? Or did he really not know that he was, in effect, being interviewed by Haru. Well, he wouldn't tell the man. In any situation, he had to answer with something, even if it was just a partial amount of the truth. "I was told to come out this way by a superior. Didn't know I would find a bar on top of a mountain in the middle of a forest though. Kind of....random." he hoped the last word had been fine. Everything else Haru had thought to say might sound a little....insulting.

As the the young man nearly fell off his bar stool, Drift gave a slight grin under his mask. He couldn't help but noticed that young man with sun glasses seemed to be a bit up beat and most likely not to thrilled about the location he was tasked to come to. He then eyed the young man down quickly to examine his closer, but felt that his balance was alright for the most part and was not going to place a sneak attack. The man then answered Drifts question, and so he reached behind him to grab a bottle. The bottle was black glass, with no labels, and as he poured its green like contents into the mugs he spoke.

" Dont worry it is harmless... It is actually quite healthy for you a natural energy source created from various plants..."

He then moved the mug forward for the man to drink, to which he then grabbed his hat and his mask with his other hand. He took off his mask, placed them down on the counter reviling his face, picked up his drink and quickly drank it. He then crossed his arms and gazed at the man with hi full attention as he answered his question about his location.

" Sorry about that... I like secluded areas these days... But getting tired of it... It was easier in the past, when I had the squad. But that was ages ago... Now then... The reason why you came here was to interview me correct? "

He then placed his right hand under his chin and thought for a moment realizing he forgot something. He then had a quick jolt of his memory quick in as he realized what he had forgotten to do. Of all the basic thing at that, with that he placed his hands together, pressing them against his chest and leaned forward for a moment before speaking.

"My sincerest apologies... I forgot to introduce myself... My name is Drift Galewind... What is your name good sir? "

Eying the drink closely, Haru picked up the mug and took a quick sip of the liquid. It wasn't as bad as it thought it might, from the description Drift gave him. Oh well. That wasn't what he needed to be thinking of right now. Contrary to what Haru thought, Drift already knew why he was here. Oh well, less work that he had to do. After all, having to explain why he was here, well, he didn't know much beyond what he was told in the first place; to come and 'interview' the man who owned the bar, Drift Galewind. Of course, he was told a decent bit about the man before he had departed, mainly as to why he was seeing such a man. But, that had no bearing at this point. At least, not yet. Taking another drink of what was inside his mug, Haru looked over to Drift, setting the mug on the table.

"Haru Haruka. Member of the Seventh Division. Well, newly added member at that."

Smirking slightly, Haru sighed. He had been in the squad for a while now, but he had yet to see his captain, or even any of the other people in the squad. He was feeling somewhat secluded from this, so it seemed that coming to a place like this suited him. Oh well. He would soon see what this man was like, anyway. He was told to get an impression of Drift, and he would. Though, he might have to switch it up a bit.

To Drift surprise as he watched the young man drink his house special he was surprised to seem him not spit it out. He thought to himself " Kids got good taste... Heh " with that he went on to him introduce himself as Haru Haruka member of squad seven and a new member at that. Drift wondered to himself how much this young man has actually seen as a shinigami and was surprised he was the one to interview him. Which would make him assume there is more to this Haru then meets the eye...

" Your name ryhmes... I can dig that... Apart of 7 eh...? Davens old squad from ages ago... That squad is one of great historical importance... "

As he finished speaking, Drift then set his mug down on the counter and reached into under haori. He pulled out a long and silver pipe which he already had packed with a special sort of tobacco. Not as unhealthy as many would think actually good for your lungs instead and he placed the stem on his lips. Then with a little puff the bowel suddenly gave off a little flame but quickly died away. He then inhaled the smoke, pulled the pipe out and exhaled the smoke to his left away from Haru. He then pinched the top of the bowl with a small piece of wood, thathe grabbed from the counter, setting back on the counter and place the pipe back into his haori.

" Not you every day tobacco... It is rather good for you... So now then Haru of squad seven... What is it you hope to find about from me...? "

You need to go and meet this person, Drift Galewind. His location is xxxxx. We know he was a close acquaintance to your late father, so we found you most applicable for this task. Gather information on him, interview him. Report back when you have finished your task. That was what he had initially been told. Simply a shallow connection as his late father had brought Haru to the man standing behind the bar counter. Honestly he had no idea what he was trying to find from this man, other than simple information on him, maybe a personality? Coming from the higher-ups a simple interview never meant just that. Well, if this man was anything like how he knew his father to me, then this would inevitably lead to only one thing. He could feel the cold steel of his two daggers against his left forearm, and within a second he could bring them out.

"To be quite honest, I have no idea. But, my old man Asuma, did tell me something..."

Looking up at Drift, Haru's eyes seemed to completely take the man in for a moment. Reiatsu, high levels. Skill, obviously present. Vulnerability, maybe five percent at most. Smirking slightly, Haru knew that this wasn't simply for sport. he was doing what he was told. After all, Haru did realize that what the old man told him was pretty accurate. "...you can always judge a man...." Moving his left arm out, Haru's blades quickly flew from within the sleeve, a string of reiatsu on one that flew away from his left hand, which held the second dagger. Pulling on the string with his fingers, Haru quickly moved his right hand out, catching the hilt of the dagger easily.

"...by the way he fights. Do you hold the same belief as he did, Drift?"

As Drift watched Haru he had felt that his balance had started to shift slightly, which would mean something is about to happen... With that he watched the young man with his silver eyes and took of his haori revealing his the upper piece of his kuro kosode, a common uniform found worn by shinigami. The only difference was that his sleeves were removed, mainly so he could fight easier, and as the Haru finished speaking. He heard a name he thought forgotten " Asuma... He has a son... " with that he went to speak but in a cold and smooth tone of voice this time.

" So your his brat... Interesting... Never knew he had one... Ill have to hit him in the next life... "

As Haru finished speaking about something that his late father had told him, he seemed to analyze Drift and drew his blades in quite a fancy way at that. As one who has been in enough battles regardless of were and who this man came from... He knew it was of no concern... Only the battle ahead mattered... He held out his left hand outwards, a small gray flame had then appeared in front of it and extended. With a small flash it reviled a straight gray full sized blade and as he grabbed his blade swinging it downwards to the left causing the floor crack. He spoke to Haru to answer his question about his beliefs.

"Hmm... You are his son that is without question... To know a man... Is to know his sword... Now then shall we...? "

Drift then stared intensely with his silver demon like eyes at Asuma and started to pour out some of his spiritual energy to see how he would take it. He then waited for the son of Asuma, Haru to attack with everything his has and in return Drift will do the same or Asuma would turn over in his grave.

Smiling slightly, Haru closed his eyes, feeling the reiatsu of the man in front of him. It wasn't malevolent, but it wasn't benign either. It was simply....well, if Haru had to put a word to it, it would be wanting. Moving his stool back, Haru stood up, moving both his hands out, letting go of the blades in his hands, causing them to fly out and stick into the walls adjacent to him. He had no intentions to use his blades yet. After all, he wasn't out to try and truly hurt the man, though it seemed that was bound to happen to one of them. His hands next to him, Haru walked away from Drift, back to behind the bar where the alcohol was kept. Picking up a decent sized bottle of one hundred and fifty-one proof rum, Haru took off the top of the bottle, quickly downing the contents within a few gulps. By all means, it bit back at him as it went down his throat, but it would serve its purpose soon enough. Smirking now, Haru turned back to Drift.

"So, before the alcohol kicks in, shall we begin? After all, I'm told I'm a mean drunk."

Reiatsu slowly leaking out of his body, it seemed to coagulate around his legs, feeling the very same tension around them as he did his arms when he attempted this technique. Well, he wasn't going to completely try the move on the first go, but it would help with his idea. With the first part of the move pretty much mastered, it should have been easy enough to do this. Though....it had been done on his arms. Oh, well. He would have to learn this anyway. Chuckling suddenly, Haru leaned forward and seem to disappear, leaving an explosion of reiatsu where he stood, smashing a few of the bottles around him while cracking the floor where he had stood. Now in front of Drift, in a crouching position, Haru smirked, moving his right arm out to punch Drift, and then disappeared again. Using the reiatsu around both legs, Haru had used the right leg to move forward to get in close range with Drift, and then used his left leg to propel himself to the right, trying to catch the man by surprise. Even though the chance of that was low, it was still worth a shot. Pivoting on his right leg when he landed a few feet from where he had stood, Haru put all the strength and speed he had into his right arm as it flew forward, aimed right at the area under Drift's ribcage. it was either all or nothing, even in the beginning.

As the young man Haru threw his blades adjacent of himself at the walls and they flew out he quickly yet calmly stepped back to avoid getting hit by them. Haru seemed to then slowly walk behind Drift into behind the bar, and grabbed quite the choice of alcohol. A large bottle of rum and to Drift's surprise the young man was one hell of a drinker, as just shot gunned a bottle of rum to himself. Just as the Haru turned backed to Drift and stated that they should start due to him being a bit of a mean drunk he couldn't help but laugh a little" Hehe... ". He then grinned at Haru with a hell of a smirk, reached under is haori, and pulled out a small silver flask. He then bite the top cork of the bottle with his teeth, pulled it back , and then spit it out to the right of himself. Drift then raised the bottle towards his his lips, pulled his head back, and drank the contents quickly as he could. Things were about to get intetesting, mainly because Drift wasnt one to hold his liqor, and given a few minutes... He will be extremely drunk.

" Gale fire hawk whiskey... Strong as they come... Sorry but you... Have spirit I will give you that... But... Careful now... Drinking is bad for your health at your rate..."

As Drift cut him self off, he threw his flask to his right side. He quickly noticed the boy was starting to focus his spiritual energy around his legs and he seemed to lean forward. To Drift this was his first time seeing a move like this, but he would not be killed by it. The young man Haru seemed to vanish but he then quickly appeared bellow Drift and strike up but quickly vanished again. He managed to catch Drift a by surprise as he saw the boy propel himself to the right and quickly was attempting to actually attack Drift this time without a doubt. The old Drift then quickly took his blade, stabbing it downwards at his attacker, as Haru was approaching Drift quickly with impressive speed. Just as Haru neared Drift, he quickly slashed up at Haru's arm, as he took the chance to then jump off to the side past Haru.

" Show me a good battle... It has been a very long time since I have felt the desire to go all out and to reel the heat of the moment. Also... What is your purpose in this life...? "

Time had taught Haru that things rarely went as planned. And this, was no different. even with knowing that his attack would either be fended off or counterattacked, the ease at which it was done with was a little daunting. Drift barely gave him a second glance before he attacked Haru, seeing the opening in his move and attempting to strike at him with his blade. However, this would prove to be of little use with a simple slash at his right arm. Opening his fist in mid strike, Haru turned the punch into a knife hand strike, quickly forcing reiatsu into his hand before he tried to move the strike at him. Of course, his hand was cut, though it was much less severe than what it could have been. With a slight cut now on his palm, Haru quickly turned on his left heel, doing a 180 degree turn, moving his right hand out to send droplets of blood right at Drift's face, to try and distract him for a moment. Of course, this normally would have been out of the question. But this, wasn't a normal circumstance. He was fighting in a BAR, becoming more drunk by the second, and obeying the order he was given. That, to him, was more important that not trying to distract his opponent in a fight, even if it could be considered dirty or not.

Haru was dead set on the plan of attack he had at that moment, which seemed the best option to him. Even though his right arm still hurt slightly from overuse of this technique, it could handle one or two more of the same. quickly bringing his arms back to his sides, Haru moved within punching distance of Drift, who was hopefully distracted by the blood that had been thrown at him. Reiatsu blasting through both arms, Haru quickly executed two Senda with both his arms at the same time, sending various punches at Drift all over his upper body, each punch emitting a small concussive blast as the punch ended, a side effect of his particular Senda. He had yet to give it a name, but the effect was quite obvious. Like a concussion blast from a grenade, the force from the reiatsu being used with his arm caused a blast that would add to the damage of the punch, as well as cause slight internal damage as well, though nothing severe with his current level.

"My purpose. I'll tell you that...if you can beat me!"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 29, 2012 8:06 pm

As the blade barely cut Haru's hand, Drift could not help but put the most crocked and twisted smile on his face. Mainly due the alcohol was starting to take affect on Drift's mental state, but for the most part he was still in control and having some fun. Then without a moments hesitation he could feel the young warrior focusing spiritual energy, which meant he was gonna pull something, and he turned around the boy spun around sending blood into Drift's right eye. His eye filled with some blood would be useless, causing him to shut it for now, and losing half of his sight. It was most likely a distraction move, but to Drift none of this mattered but the battle ahead and so it was time to get serious with this battle.

As the young warrior suddenly bolted at Drift with a strange spiritual energy he could do all but focus his spiritual pressure and take the punches. As Drift was hit by the punches, they seemed to emit blasts from them and threw him back into the wall. He coughed some blood, was a bit sore from the punches, but managed to stand up and use this distance to prepare his attack. But as he focused his spiritual energy into his zanpakuto he smiled for his was tarting to have fun. For a unseated member this boy could use some interesting moves. With that he slashed down his hands down to the ground ,shout out his blades name " Hakumei Karite's Twilight Hidden Truth! " and with a wave of pressure he blade split into two gray flames. Appearing in each hand, to then become one large scythe in each hand of equal size and shape. But although these twin brother scythes were exact in every way, they had different colors. One was black and was white. As his hand fell down to the ground, so did his blades just as Haru neared him, and with that his next words might be his last as the blades stabbed into the floor boards.

"Twilight Chaos Dragon..."

As he finished the words in a brilliant gray flaming light, a mighty snake like dragon about the size of a full grown rhino, with scythe like arms appeared and flew towards Haru and destroying the building as it ravaged the battlefield. If Haru can survive this attack, Drift was going to have a very exciting battle, and after all these years cut loose. But the cost may have proven to great, as he would not doubt after this loose his home and his business. But at the same time even worse he might have killed the young son of Asuma, Haru but for some reason he had a gut feeling the boy would survive.
