Pikachirisu was munching happily on a berry from her perch on a tree branch. Life was tough as a wild pokemon, especially one her size; there were predators all around, and sometimes you got stuck in the rain with no shelter beyond a scraggly bush! But the taste of a ripe wild berry made it all worth it, at least to the little hybrid's mind.

She was a rare sight indeed, coming from a long line of wild pikachus and pachirisus, finally resulting in her and her siblings' birth. Of them all, Pikachirisu showed the most even split between her ancestors' species. She didn't give her appearance much thought, though; there was no time for it in her dangerous life.

She licked the stickiness off her paws and began grooming herself, still sitting quite comfortably on her tree branch. She didn't hear any other pokemon around, and so she relaxed her guard just a bit. The day seemed too peaceful for her to wind up as somebody's lunch! It was unlikely that anyone would see her from above or below while she was in the tree, in any case.

Velasco chirped and flew up to a tree branch, searching for a nice berry to pluck off and nibble on, thought his trainer was not far behind and would get pissed off if he found the murkrow was eating so close to lunch. Hopping around the branch, he looked around curiously, but instead of spotting a nice plump berry, his eyes finish on a little odd pokemon. "...? krroww?"

Gepardo slowed down on his running and muttered under his breath. This exercise regimen was starting to get a bit tiring. Perhaps he should scale it back, or get a dog pokemon. After all, going after his damn murkrow was proving boring, and he got lost more times then he care to mention. His sableye had no interest on running, prefering to dig to get his exercise.

Pikachirisu looked up in alarm, but relaxed when she saw that it was only a murkrow. A pidgeot was dangerous, but she didn't think that murkrows attacked anyone without provocation. "(Hi there!)" she chittered to him in a friendly manner. "(The berries around here taste really good right now. We're lucky to have found them before anyone else!)"

Her mismatched ears swiveled about involuntarily then, and her bright blue eyes grew wide. She could hear the crash of heavy (heavy compared to the squirrel/mouse pokemon) feet in the undergrowth. She froze instinctively on her branch, whispering to her mysterious bird friend, "(You'd better fly! Whatever that thing is, it's coming this way quick.)" She shut up then so that the big creature wouldn't hear her.

The murkrow nodded. "(These berries do look very decicious)" He pecked at one of them, before stilling at the odd pokemon's words. A big predator? or maybe a large herbivore pokemon? He listen closely, but all he could hear was his panting trainer making his way over. He gave a loud squawk of laughter when he realize that the Pikachirisu was afraid of that. "(There is nothing to be afraid of, that's my trainer!)"

Gepardo slowed down when he heard Velasco nearby. "...?" He walked around until he spotted the laughing murkrow and...what the hell was that?

"(T-trainer?!)" Pikachirisu chattered in alarm. She scampered away from Velasco, down to the edge of the tree branch, and looked down cautiously. Sure enough, there was a human staring right back up at her! She whirled around again, the fur of her tail stuck on end like a frightened cat. Her tiny heart beat frantically; her family had always said that trainers were even more dangerous than houndooms! They could trick an unwary wild pokemon and trap them in tiny, mysterious pokeballs, and then no one knew what happened! Probably they were taken back to the human's house to be eaten, after that!

"(G-get out of the way or I'll, I'll Th-thundershock you!)" Pikachirisu warned the murkrow. Her yellow cheek sacs sparked with electricity. She hated fighting, but there was no way she was going to become a human's meal; not today!

As breeder, identifying moving pokemons tended to be easy, but for the love of arceus, Gepardo could not tell what he was looking at. It had the color and tail of a pachirisu, but the body was too large, and the ears didn't match. A hybird perhaps? Well, whatever it was, it was charging towards his pokemon. "Velasco, Night shade!"

Velasco stared as he was charged towards by the wild pokemon "(What?!)" He looked at his trainer and groaned, suddenly his eyes began glow, along with his body, letting out of pulses of red mist to surrounded the area.

Pikachirisu squeaked in pain as the attack hit. She should have run away at the first sign of trouble, but the Murkrow was blocking the way to the tree trunk, and she couldn't reach any other branches. It was too dangerous to try jumping to the ground; she was stuck in fight or flight mode, and seeing as she couldn't fly, she knew she had to fight.

Still aching from the Night Shade attack, she released the stored energy in her cheeks in a Thundershock attack. The lightning burst forth from the sacs and made contact with Velasco, sending volts of electricity through him. Half surprised that her attack had even hit, and just as amazed that she had actually been capable of hurting someone, she quickly stopped the attack. "(I'm sorry!)" she cried out. She cringed down on the branch.

Velasco cried out as he was hit with the electric attack, wings fully open and his claws sinking into the branch painfully. Once she stop, he slump forward, twitching a little. "...krrooow...."

"You are so going to the gym...." Gepardo mumbled, though really do feeling sorry for his poor bird pokemon. "Night Shade, again!"

Velasco clicked his beak angrily at his trainer before performing the attack once again. This was ridicules!

Pikachirisu's grip on the tree branch slipped as she flinched away from her second dose of pain; she started sliding over the edge, and only by quickly scrabbling with all four mis-matched paws was she able to cling to it. Unfortunately... she was upside down, and even with her paws hugged around the thing tree branch, her claws were slipping.

"(Help! I'm going to fall!)" she begged of Velasco. Between risking getting attacked again by Velasco and risking breaking her back in a fall, she'd prefer to take the Night Shade. Her tiny chest rose and fell rapidly as she panted and felt the bark sliding slowly beneath her paws. "(Hurry!)"

The murkrow let out a loud sqwuack, no knowing what to do. He didn't had paws or a long tail to try and snatch her up. She certainly was too big for him to catch her on his back. He took off into the air and grabbed her tail between his claws and started pulling up, trying to get her back on the top of the branch.

"Oh...." The next word out of his mouth was a veeery bad word. Gepardo looked around in his pockets. This was probably why fights were normally not done in trees! Taking out an empty pokeball, he suddenly threw it upwards towards the hybrid pokemon, hoping to at least catch her long enough to get her in the ground safely.

"(Oh no!)" was all the pikachirisu could get out before she was converted into bright red energy and sucked inside the pokeball. The ball fell harmlessly through the air and thumped onto the ground. Then it began to wiggle violently as Pikachirisu tried to escape.

She was able to keep up the struggle for quite a long while, but after two Night Shades and going through such a panicky situation, she simply didn't have enough strength left. She had to give up, and the pokeball grew still.

Pikachirisu had been caught!
PostPosted: Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:49 pm

Gepardo picked up the pokeball once it stop struggling and looked it over. "I caught a....what the hell was that? A fat pachirisu?" He question his murkrow as he flew down and landed on the man's shoulder. "Cause that was way too large for one....."

Velasco gave chirp, nipping at the man's ear. He shouldn't had attacked!

"Oww! What? It was attacking you!"

"Krrrow!"

"What?..um...He was attacking you?"

"Krrrrrrrrooow..." He sounded more like a growling.

"Oh..we got a female? Too bad i don't think she can breed with either of you..OWWW!" He yelped at another pinch to his poor abused ears. "Ok..ok...i shouldn't had made you attack, i get it.....we'll go to the pokemon center, get you both heal and then we'll see about releasing her...Happy?"

The murkow chirped happily.

"damn bossy little bird..."

-----------------------------------------------------------

After the pokemon center, the breeder had gone home. He knew he promise to released the pokemon, but he was curious of what he had caught. If it was a fat pachirisu, he would like to keep her until she was at a better weight before released. Securing that all doors and windows in his living room were closed, Gepardo released both his sableye and his murkrow, just in case the pokemon decided to attack, and had some berries out to keep her calm.

Sitting down by the coffee table, he picked up the pokeball and put it down on the table before poking the button.

Velasco settled on his trainer's shoulder and clicked his beak, watching the pokeball, while Nishant just lay in the couch, looking ready to take another nap.

Pikachirisu blinked several times, feeling disoriented as she came out of the pokeball for the first time. She was confused at first, wondering where all the trees had gone. Then, quite suddenly, it dawned on her that she was in a Human Place. The wood beneath her feet was way too smooth, and its shape was all wrong for a tree, or even a tree stump. It was something that humans made. The light was unnatural, too, coming from several sources in the ceiling. The smells in the pokemon center overwhelmed her; she could smell antiseptic, humans, food, and a wide variety of pokemon, most of which she had never encountered before.

As she gazed around the room in fright, she finally noticed those who were nearest to her; the murkrow that had attacked her on one side, and a pokemon that she didn't recognize on the other, and the human that she had seen in the forest sitting between them. She also registered the yummy-looking berries on the table, but she was too scared to sample them.

"(Please don't eat meeee!)" she wailed.

"Woah..woaah...calm down...." He mumbled softly, holding out a berry to her. "Come on, no one is going to hurt you....."

Velasco looked at hsi trainer. Sure, offer food to the pokemon that thinks you are going to eat her...that won't put ideas in her mind....Jumping off his shoulder and onto the table, he chirped towards the Pikachirisu. "(Its ok, no one is going to eat you......Where did you get such idea from?)"

Pikachirisu backed away from the proffered berry, worried to have the human's hand so close to her. "(Everyone says that humans eat the pokemon they catch. It's true, isn't it?)" She was close to tears. "(It's all your fault! You have to help me escape, or I'm gonna die!)"

She backed away from the trio until her hind foot stepped onto the table edge; there was no where to go but down from there. She could jump off the table and onto the floor... And then what? There were other humans in the room, too, and she had no idea how to escape. She turned back to Velasco pleadingly.
