Something was a little off that was for sure. Miw wasn't feeling up to her normal self. Something was more than off, she felt funny, she was feeling off the night before too. She knew she was sick. Her stomach felt like she had run around in circles before doing anything. Not only that but her nose felt a little stuffy and she felt off balance every time she stood up. Just when she was starting to get really happy and not only because she was feeling better about her and Row but also because she was also starting to get really into her new home. And of course since that was happening she had to get sick. She didn't understand why she had to get sick. She hated being sick. Miw liked to do things on her own and only that but she also like being independent. And since the night before the lioness wasn't able to be as independent as she would have liked to have been. Not only that but since the night before she was a much less odd lioness. She was almost always doing silly and odd things but not since she got sick.
She actually wasn't up at the normal time that she was. It was getting really close to the afternoon. In most cases Miw was up in the morning. Bright and early in the morning, not today. She was laying all the way back in the den. She kew that she needed to take it easy for the day so she can stop being all sniffly. She knew it was going to pass quickly there were many times where she had a cold like this and it passed quickly. She also knew that the back of the den was now quickly becoming her favorite place. She liked it back there in the moment she could closer her eyes and sleep and it was cool. she stretched herself out a little and then let out one of the loudest sneezes that she had in a while.

Normally it was Rowtag who was sleepign late into the morning and him being woken up by a chirpy, happy Miw-Sher. Today, however, was not like those other mornings. For some odd reason she still hadn't surfaced and even now - back from his morning stroll - it seemed she was still tucked away down in the darkness of the den.
Was something wrong?
Well, he had to change that. He wasn't used to this sleepy behaviour from her and anything out of the ordinary had a tendency to put him on edge. He liked the day to be predictable and anything that took him by surprise tended to startle and anger him. He had taken a stroll and nodded short greetings at those he had passed, but he was not much one for small talk either. They might ask questions and they might not like the answers.
He gave a low rumble of greeting as he approached the den's mouth and hesitated a moment before taking a few steps inside. He wasn't sure, but he could almost sense that something was amiss. "Miw-Sher? Where's breakfast?"
He...was only half joking.

Miw eyes were mostly closed at the moment, that was until she heard some one walking into the den. She was pretty surprised at the sound of some one entering the den. She must have been asleep much longer than she thought she was. For him to come back around she was surprised. Most of the time she was awake long before Row was, today on the other hand she was the last one up. Much later than normal, she turned toward him and looked at him a little confused. "Oh Row." She stated before sniffling a little and sitting up. "I forgot to get chu your food." she said her voice not it's normal small, young voice. Instead it was much more stuffy. It sounded like she had a lot in her nose that was for sure.
Well not that much more, after she sneezed once again. One could wonder how such a small thing could sneeze so loudly that was probably for sure. She stared at him before then sighing. "I'm sorry Row, I'll start heading out to go get us something." She stood up, wobbling a little as she did. she was pretty dizzy but she wasn't one to slack off. She knew that she needed to rest but she wasn't going to just let that get into her way.

She sounded weird...actually, she looked weird.
What was going on? Was she sick? Dying?!
"Miw-Sher!" He recoiled in slight horror at the thought and also wondering whether it was contagious. He certainly didn't want to get that sick! But...at the same time, if he didn't do anything, then maybe she would die and then he would be alone. That just wouldn't do at all.
"Stop! Stop!" He ordered forcefully. "You're sick. Lay down right this instant! Is there a healer in the pride? I'll go get him!" And he started to back out, his claws sliding in the soft earth.

Her ears perked as the lion spoke loudly to her. She automatically dropped her rump on the ground and then she was surprised and her face probably showed how surprised she was. She stared at him and smiled a little. "Row." she started to speak that was untli she started to cough, she sighed a little and shook her head. She was upset. She went to lay down and she got comfortable before she huffed as Row started to turn around out of the den. "No! Row!" She demanded before following it up with another little cough. "Don't go." She frowned a little, she was getitng a little upset. "I just want some company, I don't need to see the healer yet." She said simply nodding at the idea. Alythough it was true, she didn't want to go to the healer yet that was for sure.

He growled low in his throat and seemed to dither a moment, pacing back and forth in agitation. "I'm not a healer." He snapped, slamming a paw against the ground in his frustration. "How did you get sick, Zii?" His panic and anger often had him lapsing into his confused state of mind. "Did someone give this to you?"
He growled and drew close to her again. "Company won't heal you, foolish woman!" He seemed not to notice that she was getting upset.
"Whoever did this to you...I'll get them for it. I swear."

Miw wasn't enjoying his grumpiness. She didn't like it she was sick and she just wanted to lay in the cool den and have some one to talk to. "Miw." She corrected him as he talked. "Calm down Row, it could have been from anything. I don't know of anyone who was sick." She chuckled a little at his over reacting, she stretched out a little and then spoke to him again. "I just need some rest Row. I think I got it from traveling around so much with little rest. I just need to relax." He stated simply to him trying to get him to understand she didn't want to go anywhere. "I'm going to be fine, it's a little cold, I used to get them as a cub." she didn't know how to get him to calm down but she was hoping that she could.

"Fine!" He snapped and then, quietening his voice he said again: "Fine." Then he sat and watched her through his blue eyes as if waiting for her to collapse or show any signs of worsening. He'd never been sick in his life. Perhaps this was something to do with the 'weakness' of outsiders. He supposed that would make sense.
"We didn't get sick where I came from." He added grumpily.
He crossed his forepaws and growled. "So...rest, then. I'll...just stay here." It wasn't like he had much else to do, anyway. He didn't think he could get sick, anyway.

Miw glanced at him and shook her head. "you also didn't have as many outsiders to run into." She pointed out then shrugging. "Thank you for staying Row, Company is very nice." She smiled at him before nudging him. "If you're okay with it do you think later maybe you could go out and try to get some food for us?" He asked him curiously, although she said it more like a suggestion. She wasn't too hungry but she could eat, even if it was later.

"Yeah. Whatever." He eyed her with hard eyes and then resettled himself on the sand, trying to get over his initial panic and play it 'cool' now that she'd convinced him that she wasn't dying. And then she asked the question about food and his head turned back so that he could look at her.
"What?" The word blasted from his mouth, clearly showing his surprise. "No. Wait. Maybe. I...can try." He wasn't a very good hunter. A poor one, in fact, but maybe he could talk someone into hunting for him and then claiming he had done it himself? Yes. That might work! "I'll...see what I can do." He added at last. "So long as you don't go dying or anything when I'm gone. I can't be here alone, Miw-Sher."
He frowned and then felt somewhat foolish for keeping his distance from her. He got back onto his paws, sidled closer, and then sat so that there was only a stride between them. He wondered, briefly, if she'd given up on the whole 'love' thing yet. Wondered if he'd mind if she had.

Miw looked up at him as he settled in, a smile grew across her lips. She was gladthat he wasn't trying to run out of the den and get some one to take care of her. She really didn't want him running off again, not only that but she didn't feel like dealing with anyone else.
"Thank you Row." She said with another smile growing on her face, she was glad that he was at least going to try to get something to eat. "As long as you try, if not then you might be able to get some one to help." She said simply a small chuckle coming from her throat, it was then followed by a cough. She paused before speaking to him. "don't worry Row, there will be no dying while you're gone." She was going to follow with, 'I can't promise while you're here though' but she knew that would ensue more panic and that wasn't good. "I'm not going anywhere Row." She sat quietly for a few moent before she started to scoot herself forward, resting her head on the side of the male near his shoulder and closing her eyes. She was hoping he didn't mind, she just wanted to cuddle. She almost always did when she was sick.

He tensed for a moment as she leaned in against him, feeling the warmth of her through her fur as it absorbed into his. She was thanking him but he hadn't exactly done anything worthy of such a thing. She was too innocent for her own good. Far too forgiving. He was...lucky to have found her. Or...lucky that she had found him.
Wordlessly he turned his head and, without thinking, he licked the top of her head before grumbling deep in his chest and setting his head down on a paw. "Good." He replied at last. "You'd best hurry up and get better, too."
He really didn't want to be hunting all that often.
