...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxAs the son dawned on the world, wildlife became active. Birds chirped, mice and other rodents scuttled around restlessly in the underbrush. Many people wandered the roads of the Kingdom, but there were few like Ellin Lafue. Ellin, or "L", as he was commonly called, traveled a road that lead to a border town. There had been reports of mysterious noises and missing people there for a week or so now, but two days ago, the reports stopped coming. He sighed as he looked up form the book he was reading, to the town that could barely be seen. Not because of size, but because of the distance he was from it. He looked back to his book. A spell book. Learning spells was not easy, especially Holy spells. It was because you didn't draw the energy for the spells from the plants, or friction in the air, or even water. You pulled it from yourself. For this reason, Holy spells were exceptionally strong, but immensely exhausting. xxxxxL arrived at the town to find no one there, or at least, no one outside. It was oddly quiet. There was literally no noise. Not a child's' laugh, or a moms scolding, or even a pigs squealing. L put his spell book in his back pocket and put some gloves on, then slipped the brass knuckles over them. He slowly scanned his surroundings and walked up to a house and knocked on the door. He tried to open it, but it was locked. He started walking away from the house, and heard a creaking. he kept walking and turned around when he was about five feet away he turned around to see a Goblin behind him with a knife. The Goblin quickly tried to stab him, but L kneed the hand with his left knee and the dagger went flying. He dropped his left leg down, and raised the right one to kick the Goblin in the head with lightning fast speed. After the Goblin hit the ground, all was quiet again. L squatted down and listened carefully to anything and everything. Suddenly, he jumped into the air and landed on the house, and arrow being where he had previously been. He sighed heavily as he came to a deduction. The entire town had been wiped out, and been replaced with Beast Folk.

"It is my duty to protect this Kingdom from the evil that lurks around at night."
As the sun rose, a tall slender figure stood on top of a roof of the town. Alisay Cater, an Elf assigned the job as a Nightwalker. She scouted the area, checking for any Beast Folk that decided to just wander out into view. As she tied her hair into a ponytail her serious gray toned eyes flickered over to the man who now entered the deserted town. She watched as the Goblin approached him and how easily he defeated it. "Hmm." After he jumped on top of the house, she stood there for a moment before walking across the roof. Her boots clicked as she walked and her hair swayed behind her.

...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxL heard the clicking of boots and turned around quickly, his hand glowing faintly, and in a fighting position. He saw it was an Elf, but he could trust no one anymore. Too many people had fallen for whatever dark being promised them power. He heard a few doors open and close and some grunting, and shouting in a primitive language. He took a few short steps backwards then did a backwards hand spring and grabbed onto the edge of the roof. He swung down and slammed his feet into an Orc, sending it crashing through the closed door. When his feet made contact with the Orc, he had pushed off(which caused it to go flying), and he was flung back up onto the roof. He got back into his fighting stance and narrowed his eyes. "Who are you, and what do you want?" He asked her, trying to loosen up, in case she attacked.

Alisay stopped walking and chuckled. She turned around and a smirk appeared on her face. She examined him for a moment before speaking. "Names Alisay. Alisay Carter. Nightwalker for the Kingdom." She replied. Alisay placed her hands on her hips before scouting the area once more. "And you are?" She asked looking back at him.

...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxL slowly lowered his arms. He had heard of the NightWalkers before. Before now he thought it was just a rumor. L turned around and walked to the edge of the house. "Ellin Lafue. You can call me L." He said before jumping down to the ground. After that little commotion, more Beast Folk came out of the buildings and through the fences that bordered the town. He started running towards the center of town, and slowly, Beast Folk started to follow them. As the Beast Folk(Mainly goblins and wulves. Occasionally an Orc or two) came at him from all directions he stopped and got in a fighting stance. Any Beast that got close to him got a flaming punch to the face. He preferred close combat, than ranged combat.

Alisay nodded before jumping down as well. She watched as he ran towards the center before stopping. She laughed before joining in on the fight. Her hands glowed a dark green. She stopped, her fingers moving and the ground beneath her trembled. Multiple vines quickly rose from the cracks, pulling some of the Beast Folk into the air before slamming them to the ground. "You know Ellin, it's not very smart to go rushing into battle." She spoke pulling out her weapon.

...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxAs he brawled away, L managed to hear what Alisay had said. "That's what everyone tells me!" He said, laughing aloud. As he got overwhelmed He glowed white, and slammed his fists together. A sphere of Holy magic appeared around him and rapidly expanded to about fifteen feet in diameter, pushing the Beast Folk backwards and crushing the ground beneath him. When he pulled his fists apart, the sphere disappeared. He then charged to one side and started decimating those opponents with more fire magic.
After Alisay slammed the enemies on the ground with the vines, quite a few enmies started paying more attention to her, and battling her. Mainly the weak Goblins, but a few Wulves accompanied them.

Alisay laughed before going quiet as she was now surrounded. She smirked before twirling her weapon in her hand. "This outta be fun." Some Goblins rushed towards her and she quickly putting her sword through the Goblins head. Pulling it out, it's body fell to the ground and the others rushed towards her. She used her vines once more, which flung some away from her. Using her main magic source, wind quickly whipped around her.

...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxBy the time they recovered, L had killed, or at least knocked unconscious about a quarter of their numbers. He switched to Holy magic and every time he kicked or punched an opponent, beams of light would shoot up from the ground and the opponent would disappear. But early on, he began to feel weak, so he switched back to his Fire magic. Now, shooting flamethrowers and fireballs at his opponents., and only pounding their face in when they got close to him.

Using her magic, she forced the wind back causing the Beast Folk to be pushed back. Alisay stood there looking around for a moment before being hit in the back by a goblin. She quickly stumbled forward before regaining her balance. Gripping her sword, she turned around and threw it at her opponent. "Pathetic." She mumbled walking over and grabbing her weapon.

...I will destroy this Blight... xxxxxL picked a grunting Orc up from the ground and punched it in the face. It then dropped limp. He looked up at the town. Considering what had just happened, the surrounding environment still looked pretty nice. Well, not considering the hole in the ground. He sighed heavily and put his hands in his pockets. As he watched over the battlefield, his eyes drooped slightly. Despite how easy the enemies were, the battle had been exhausting. Not because they were strong, but because of how many there were. L walked over to a chair on the porch of some random house and sat down in it.

Alisay sighed as she stepped over some of the Orcs and headed for the porch as well. She set her sword down at her feet and rubbed her back from when she was hit. "So L, what made you come here?" She asked looking over at him as she sat down on the stairs of the porch.

"I'd heard reports about missing villagers and stuff, then they suddenly stopped coming, so that really peaked my interest. So I came and checked it out." he said twiddling his thumbs a little. "Why are you here" He asked her. he was interested in what an elf was doing in the outer regions of the Kingdom. They generally stayed in the main cities.

Alisay smiled and leaned back on her arms. "Well, I haven't been hired to do anything for awhile. So I just got tired of hanging around and decided to explore." She said staring at the clouds as they passed over slowly. "I ended up here and decided to stay for a bit."
