"Come on mom! I want to go do something. You've been unwilling to move for days.!" And Sine was of course right. Rina had been lounging about their underwater cavern with no real want to do anything but sleep and eat for three days. She couldn't quite tell why. Probably a random bout of laziness.
Rina wriggled on her perch and flopped over to look at her daughter who was hanging around near and entrance. The look she was giving showed several amounts of disgust. She thought it over for a minuet then hopped down and swam toward the door. "Alright. Let's go find something to do. You're perfectly right like usual." She flitted outside before he daughter could comment and headed toward the surface. Maybe the sun would cheer her up.

Swimming to the serface this morning Jem noticed the sun was out. For a couple days now the sun had been hiding from the world Jem kept deep into the water swimming as fast as she could between the croal. She kept to herself most of the time she was new to the area of the deep waters. She know nothing of her life before she wondered her way to the light warm waters close to the cost. Every once in a while she would find sealife to play around and have a great time. Most of the time she kept happy even though she was on her own in the large world. Her smile never turned to a frown. While going up to the serface for the first time in a couple weeks she took a leap into the air feeling the warmth of the sun on her wet body she lands head first into the water feeling the energy rushing through her fins and legs she goes for another jump. having enough energy for one last jump she leaps one last time into the air feeling the warm air for the last time she looks at the sun smiling. her body breathing heavy she sighs looking back to the waters floor.

Rina rocked toward the surface, deliberately warming unused muscles. Swimming and using all of body to gain speed. Midway to the surface she decided on a flying leap out of the water. She hadn't done that in a while and it would feel good. The light wind and the sun and the re-entry into the water. A few feet from the surface she pumped hard and got into position to leap as far as she could into the blue sky. Breaking the surface felt like heaven and she wondered why she hadn't felt like swimming the past days. While in midair she caught a glimpse of something else flying and leaping and splashed back to wonder at the flash of color she'd seen. Curious she swam toward it.

Watching the sky and the Sun was relaxing to Jem. She smiled more and more at the shining sun. Her smile went to curiosity when a object blocked the sun as it went back into water. She looked to the direction of the spash on the surface of the water as a bright colored critter that looked like herself looked at her. She smiled at the little creature and swam slowly toward it. Flickering one of her fins she managed to give a little wave to the brightly colored creature before her. "Hello..." Her voice very excited to actually met someone of her own kind. "How are you?" She smiled at the creature. "I see that you are jumping like me. Do you like the sun as much as I do?" Her voice getting quicker as her excitment went up.

"MOM! You left me behind!" Sine wines as she pops out of the water between her mother mother and the other Seathi. She blushes as she realizes she's probably interrupting and turns to the cream and pink female. "Oh hi! Sorry...." She swims back to be beside her mother, embarrassed.
Rina smiles at her silly daughter and the stranger. Rina continues as if her daughter had not interrupted. "No probably not actually. I like the top world just fine but i was just swimming and jumping to stretch my fins. I like swimming better than jumping."

Smiling at the daughter she nods her head happy. "Hello." She looks back at the mother and smiles bigger. "I do love the ocean as well. I just love the sun though." She looks up at the sun and sighs. Her excited body getting more and more energy as she imagined being out into the big world with the sun on her back all the time. Turning back to the two creatures floating infront of her she gives a shocked look at them. "Oh i forgot. My name is Jem. I am new around this area. I dont know a lot about this area." She smiles at them bigger. "You two from around here?"

Rina grins and nods at the other female. She automatically assumes that this new female must be closed to Sine's age that he. What with so much energy and exuberance. "I am Nerina, everyone calls me Rina and this creature here..." She nuzzles her daughter beside her. "...is my daughter Melusine. Sine for short." She decides to swim a circle around the other mare to get a better look at her and take in the cream, pink, orange and black tipped tail. "We live around here. Under the water somewhere over that way." She points with one of her tiny water horse hooves in the general direction toward their underwater grotto.

Smiling some more at the mother. She watches as she takes quick swim around her. Holding herself high Jem makes sure the that mare could see all her colors. While doing this Jem's eyes wonder about looking at the daughter. The dark and light mixes of the daughter were very lovely. She looked at ever inch studying the different colors of her body. She was the most beautiful other. She was lovely as well. Her colors simmered in the light very nicely. Her face going into bliss she thinks to herself. They are both so lovely. I wish i could know my own family. They look so happy together. I wish i was that happy with my family. Her eyes dropping away from looking at the family she sighs. Shacking her thoughts away she looks back up to the area that the mare was pointing to. She nods at the mare. "You both seem like a very happy family."

"Usually." Pipes up Sine who had been watching quietly and respectfully. "Momma and I don't always get along but I have my mate to occupy me when she's being a putts." She playfully thwacks her mother with a fin and a huge grin.
Rina chuckles and splashes her daughter straight in the face with impressive aim. "I do so like Push. He's such a kind little thing." She grins and turns to the pretty cream and and orange female. "Do you have family?"

Listening to the young female talking to her mother Jem started getting a little jealous. She wanted a family like that. Looking back at the mother she smiles as the young mare got splaced in the face. Letting out a little chuckle she bakcs away a little bit. "That was funny." She smiles back at the family. As the older mare asked her the question she smiled back at her. "I am afread I do not have a family. I wish i did but I guess you have to love what you get." She smiled swimming in a circle then looking back at the family.

Rina frowned at her. She looked older than she but she was definitely older than Sine. Which troubled her, Sine was an adult now, had a mate and was even talking about a small boat load of babied. If she and Sine could have these things why shouldn't the other female. "That's a shame. My daughter is a true light in my life. Perhaps you have friends to keep you entertained?"

Looking down to the ground Jem shacks her head no.. "You are the first people of my kind that i have met in my whole life. I dont remember a lot from my childhood. I wish I had friends then they could swim with me and jump into the air with me. I would love to have a family. Her face kind of going sad she looks down into the deep sea. Her face kind of lonely now. She was lonely she had no one to keep her company. Only herself and, yes she did talk to herself. It was the only friend she had. Looking back up at the mare she smiled at her. Jem did try to keep happy all time. That is why she did do things she loved. "Maybe if it isnt to much to ask for I can be friends with you two."

True concern flashes across Rina's face. "No others of our kind? Impossible!" And yet she swims over to nuzzle Jem lovingly. "We cannot have seathi being lonely now can we?" She turns toward he daughter in question and at the slight nod she turns back to Jem in delight. "Would you like to stay wit us? We'll certainly be your friend." She smiles warmly with the hope that Jem will accept.

Looking at the mare in front of her her Jem's eyes got big. "Really, there is more than just us? Thank you for the offer I don't want to tred on anyones hoofs though." She looked wondering who else she was going to meet who else she was going to play with. Smiling larger Jem looked back up tot he sky this had to be the best day of her life. "I never knew there was anymore of us out here." She was beyond the world of happy she found them.
