Despite the events that had occurred with the JOY creatures and the uproar of Christmas invading Halloween there was still something Mitsu wanted to do when Christmastival came around. She had gone through great lengths to think of a fitting gift for Shun and the others and honestly the one she had picked for the reaper had been pieced together from things she liked and even something close to her. The lycan wasn't entirely certain it was something Shun would like so she was nervous to see his reaction.
In preparation she had placed her gift, a chain necklace, in a lined box. She had found totem beads for luck, and even a charm she was able to inscribe a small message on. It was simple 'I will always be with you'. And to top it off she had a moonstone mounted on it. The moonstone was a gift from her parents when she was born, her brother had one like it set in a ring which Mitsu now carried herself. Looking the gift over one last time she just hoped it wasn't too ghoully. It made her a little worried as she closed the box and carefully wrapped it.
When the time came she gathered her gift placing it in the pocket of her jacket and headed out of her room. She had asked Shun to meet her by the gates hoping that during their day out she would find the right time to present him with his gift.

Before heading on out, Shun was spending a bit of time looking over a particular object. When it was about time, he set it into another object, which he then boxed up to take with him.
Christmastival was never really something he celebrated before. He never gave. He never received. It was just another day for the most part. In the eyes of his father, it was just a frivolous and worthless occasion. And before he likely would have agreed, but things had changed since his enrollment. The Reaper was aware of how others felt about this sort of thing, so he had actually set out and gathered a few gifts to give.
With the box in hand, he made his way to the school gates, keeping an eye out for the wolf girl as he moved.

Mitsu wasn't far behind Shun as he stepped up to the gate, her arms held out for a hug as she got closer, tail wagging happily at the sight of the reaper. "Happy Christmastival!" She chimed as her arms closed around his middle. It was nice to actually tell someone for once. She had learned never to mutter the words Happy or Christmastival to Suto. It made him cranky, upset, and over all frightening to be around. With Shun it was different, it brought her happiness despite how anxious she was about giving him his gift.
"You ready to go?" She didn't entirely have a plan, maybe they could stop at the sweets shop that Lizzy and Xiu had taken her too. It was nice and quiet and she could give him her gift there.

Even if he was expecting it, those words still caught him off guard. There was a brief look of surprise in his eyes before his expression softened while he hugged Mitsu warmly.
"Happy Christmastival," he said quietly. The words seemed almost foreign to him, having really never said it before. Giving her a gentle kiss, he nodded before walking along towards the town.
"Where are we headed exactly?" he asked. Perhaps she knew. If not, they'd just wing it.

Her head had turned upward in time to catch the kiss, melting into Shun as he claimed her lips. It never failed to daze her or take her breath away despite how gentle it was.
Smiling warmly as he pulled away she slowly gathered herself before looking toward town. "Oh, uh. I really didn't have place in mind, per say. I was just hoping to spend some time together." She pursed her lips in thought for a moment before she finally settled on the sweets shop. "Do you mind if we go to this Sweets shop in town? They have cake and ice cream." And more chocolate items that she couldn't have than one could believe possible. In a way Mitsu wished she could share a hot chocolate with him. She had heard about some of the other ghouls doing that with their boilfriends. Maybe tea would be no different. Mitsu wasn't sure of the custom it just sounded cute.

"A sweets shop?" Shun repeated as he placed one hand into his pocket while walking on along. While he wasn't a huge sweets fan, he was rather aware that Mitsu was. If anything it was still a nice way to spend time with her.
"That sounds fine with me. I don't think I know where it is. So lead the way," he said while motioning her to go ahead and do just that.
"Hopefully it won't be too busy there."
He still didn't like crowds after all.

Mitsu nodded to confirm and looked toward town again thoughtfully. She knew the way right? She tried to keep an eye out from landmarks when Xiu and Lizzy had taken her there last. Mitsu really wanted to go again so she had tried to take care to remember.
"Okay, I think its this way. It wasn't too busy last time" Despite her tone the lack of confidence in her statement should have been noted in 'I think'. Mitsu's course started off with her being fairly sure of herself. She took turns like she knew where she was going, her foot falls not hesitating as she continued on.
After ten minutes it was possible they just hadn't gotten to their destination.
After fifteen Mitsu began to slow in her pace. Maybe they were getting close? Or not.
After twenty they were still walking. The sweets shop was no where in sight.
After thirty Mitsu had slowed looking hesitant before completely coming to a stop on her path on the sidewalk to look at Shun almost sheepishly. She had no idea where they currently were let alone where the sweets shop was. "Uuuhh....oh look a tea shop." Mitsu pointed across the street at the little shop nestled in between two other buildings. "What about tea?"

As they walked on without getting anywhere for the most part, Shun sighed inwardly. He supposed he should have known better than to have Mitsu lead them. But, there wasn't much that could be done when he didn't know where the place was either. However, they at least spotted a nice substitute.
"Tea sounds excellent," he nodded before moving to head on over there, "They probably have some baked goods as well anyway."
Most likely not as many as a sweets shop would, but it was still something. Walking on in, he was met with a number of subtle scents of various teas being brewed. There was also a display of some cakes and cookies and the like. As well as a few other snacks. It didn't look all too busy either, and it was a pretty quaint and secluded place.

Mitsu smiled almost nervously, rubbing the back of her head. A gesture she had seen some of the others do and that she was now picking up on. As Shun moved she followed, trotting along beside him and into the shop. The scent of the various teas was nice and actually not overwhelming like one would think. They mixed well filling the shop with a calming scent.
"Ooh, they do have sweets." Mitsu noted looking at the display case of treats. It was quiet to. Probably the perfect place to give Shun his gift. Nervously she touched the pocket of her jacket, feeling the small box hidden there. When should she give it to him?

Looking around a little longer, they were soon greeted and taken to their seats. Sitting across from Mitsu, Shun glanced down at the menu, furrowing his brow as everything was written in text. No pictures. While he could probably guess what they had, it would have been nice to look things over at the very least.
"Uh..." he started before looking towards the wolf girl, hoping she'd pick up on what he was going at here so he wouldn't have to say it outloud.

It wasn't long before they were seated and Mitsu took the menu with thanks before looking it over. It took her a moment to staring at the pictureless menu to realize why Shun was saying 'uh'. Oh right!
Mitsu looked up at the reaper with a smile before going over their options in a discrete manner. She had learned to be tactful since it obviously embarrassed Shun for others to know. "What do you think about the berry teas? I like those but I haven't had a lot. I also like the green tea you gave me it seems they have a few varieties as well as Ceylon tea and..." The list went on as she went over the menu in a basic manner hoping that would help Shun narrow down what he wanted to focus on to order.
"Do you want to share anything?"

As expected, the place had a rather large variety of teas. Shun wasn't completely sure what he wanted. He could very well stick to green tea, but he felt it might be worth trying something a bit different while they were here. While he thought things over, he tilted his head a bit at Mitsu's question.
"Share something? Sure. Is there anything in particular you'd like? I don't really have too much of a preference here. Feel free to get whatever you'd like for drinks or for sweets. I'll take care of the bill," he offered the wolf girl.

Mitsu thought for a moment looking over the options. She liked tea but there was still a lot she hadn't tried. The lycan knew Shun favored green tea in a way, its what he kept in his room mostly. She looked a little perplexed as she continued to stare at the menu. "I don't know what to try. There are so many things to choose from. They have a nice sounding green tea but this Oolong tea with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla sounds interesting." She propped her head up with her hand, resting her elbow on the table as she thought. Her decision wasn't over with that either. Then she had to decide on a snack. Ah decisions, decisions.
"What about the eclairs?" Oh wait. She remembered those from Prom. They had chocolate on them. Though the vampire ghoul had eaten the chocolate off for her. They were still good despite the missing ingredient. "Or maybe the cream puffs?" Mitsu counter suggested, her eyes darting to the display case to see if she could spot them. She had no idea if they had chocolate or not.

The tea sounded interesting in the very least. Shun never really had so many spices (or any spices for that matter) in his tea.
"Interesting. We could definitely have that," he nodded before glancing towards the counter as she started to think about the snacks. He was going to say no to the eclairs since those typically had chocolate. Cream puffs should be fine though.
"That sounds nice," he replied before spying what might be the cream puffs. They were pretty big, from what he could see, "And those should be safe for you to eat as well."

"Alright then, we'll give it a try." Mitsu waited for the server to come back around and placed their order for the tea and a cream puff to split since they were so big. If they wanted another one they could easily get one after all. Once the waiter was on his way to get everything ready Mitsu sat at the table looking like she was thinking something over.
Her fingers drummed the table top lightly before her expression turned shy. Would now be a good time? Why was she so nervous? "Umm...I...actually got you something." She reached inside her coat pocket, fiddling around for a moment before she managed to pull the box free. Fumbling, her fingers finally grasped the box but perhaps a little too firmly. The lycan actually managed to squish the wrapped present a little, rumpling the decorative paper which left her looking a little disappointed. Not that the gift would be damaged but the box no longer looked as pretty. She had spent a fair amount of time trying to wrap it nicely too.
Before she could do any further damage to the reaper's gift she gently slid it across the table. "H-Here." She looked at him with a shy smile before retracting her hands to place them in her lap. Her gaze was almost expectant. Mitsu wanted to know what he thought.
