Hey, guys! Now that I'm all caught up on everything and have a bit of time, I'm going to be opening some breeding slots [and one semi-custom slot] for you guys c: It's been awhile since we've had any pups, and what better way to bring in the new year than with some cute lil' baby woofers?
Everything in this mini-event is free, and anyone may participate, regardless of whether you have a pet or not! Please keep in mind that this thread is for entries only. Comments, questions, etc may be posted in the main thread, or PM'd to me directly with the title "FH Question".
At least two pairings will be chosen. One will be colorist choice, and the other will be RNG. Other colorists MAY choose to jump in, but it's up to them whether or not they want to.
All winning pairs will be rolled for 2-5 offspring. Adolescent female wolves, and deer, may still only have a max of 3 offspring, however.WRITING CONTEST Ends January 21st @ 11:59pm EST

This means if A x B and A x C enter a pet, A can enter only one more, while B and C can enter two more. (Note that I say "pet" and not "couple." If you enter two of your own pets as one couple, it counts as two, not one.) This applies to this section as a whole, so a person entering a couple and two singles will be unable to add any more. Posting the form from section C counts as one pet!----- Second is one slot for a free semi-custom!
All you have to do is tell a story about your wolf. It can be anything. A hunting trip, something that happened when they were a pup, a dream or hope that they have, etc. The subject is completely up to you! The entry that touches me the most, will win [so you can be humorous, sad, happy, romantic, or whatever].
Some points to keep in mind!
1. The wolf must be of your own design. It can be an OC or a muse from another shop, so long as the OC or muse is yours!
2. Your wolf may be related to other existing wolves in FH, but if said relatives belong to other owners, you MUST have their permission, first!
3. Your entry doesn't have to be a specified length, as long as it effectively tells the story and does not exceed 1200 words. I'm looking for quality over quantity! Grammar isn't as important as the idea behind the story, either, so don't worry if it isn't perfect![size=18][color=yellowgreen]Woof Woof![/color][/size]

Some points to keep in mind!
- There's no incest allowed! If, for some reason, your pet is rolled with one if it's relatives I will re-roll, of course c:
- If your pet has edits, a colorist is NOT obligated to pass the edits down to the offspring, but they may be generous and decide to do so. However, if your pet has edits that you do not want passed down, please indicate such in your post!
- Do not edit any posts! If you want to add a pairing or something after your first post, simple add them in a NEW post! However, posting everything all at once is fine~

Entry:
Taro waited and watched as a familiar looking wolf, with similar markings yet unique to his own, walked cautiously, no doubt having a sense of danger that something was lurking among the shadows with cruel intentions. The male wolf that lurked, ready and poised to strike at any moment to give a taste of the darkness that reigned within Taro. Mostly after he had tried to reach out to his siblings for support and help. But no, none of them believed him that he was slowly leaning towards insanity. None would believe that their silent brother who was always the brains of their litter was anything but the genius.
What a joke that was. Taro was more than his brain!He was something more and worth more especially after the insulting words his father said many months ago, it didn’t do anything to motivate him as a wolf but it motivated the darkness from within. What darkness? There was something cruel living within the male wolf. It was a secret he kept to himself that none of his siblings, especially his sister and brother Melek whom he had a close bond with knew about. Though the only one who had an idea of the darkness was his mother. After it was through her bloodlines that such a darkness came from, skipping every other generation.
He could blame his mother for the dark gift but the madness that reigned within, causing him to have bouts of hallucinations where he sees things that aren’t there or rather shouldn’t be there. Taro’s temper rises for no reason that causes him to lash out at the biggest thing from other beasts to trees to the smallest of things. It’s as if all the drilling and lack of attention and nurturing from his parents did something to trigger the madness. Yes that was it, it was his parents fault for this. Just like his perfect brother, the one that lurked before him all wary of his surroundings was another fault. Taro hated Evangelus II. He hated the first born because he was the splitting image of his father and was perfect in hunting, scouting, leading and so on. There was never room for the other of the littermates to excel within the pack because Evan took the bloody spotlight. Evan had always looked down on him, believing that brawn was better than the brain. Damned wolf was an idiot!
Taro let the darkness, that madness take control of those neglected feelings, of the memories that were ever a constant companion, just like the darkness that was the only thing that never took him for granted. Then as the other male wolf, his brother, the perfect prodigy, came close enough to his hiding spot, he lunged on him swiftly, taking Evan by surprised. “Taro!” He shouted in shock yet that was all he could do which cost him as Taro the fourth youngest, the former genius of their family was nothing but a monster to prey on those that were worthless to him for their own cruelty. He fought with his brother to show him that he had his own skills, that he was a good fighter, proving he could be a cunning stalker to hunt a prey and to take back what power was lost to him from the constant looking down and private sneers. Yeah Taro was getting back at the world, and this was only step one.
