Bandele stalked quietly through the rogue lands searching for something to do. His belly was near empty, but he wasn't quite yet ready to catch anything to eat. He was still very much on the hunt for a place to call home but as of late the search had left him feeling a bit leery of the nearby prides as they were filled with lions and did not seem keen on new members--or cheetahs. Either way, he knew how to leave when he wasn't wanted.
As he ventured across the rogue lands he felt himself growing more and more weary of ever finding his home. The hope was still very much alive, but the body, well the body was growing tired. He was still very much an agile and young male which thankfully worked in his favor. But he was still tired nonetheless.
Finally as he reached a small well of a lake he decided it was time to stop and take a small rest. As he meandered to the water line for a drink he wondered why it was that there was no one else around. The tracks that were left behind seemed days old which did not leave him with much comfort for the situation. Maybe this was a high predator infested area. That would not bode well for him as he was in no way looking for or wanting a fight over territory or who knew what else.

Poza yawned as she sat on the large termite mount, ears tilted forward as she tried to listen to the very air about her. She wasn't sure what to make of how quiet things had been lately, or how her son had been gone from her side for quite a long while this time. Sure he was an adult... but they worked as a team. Maybe he'd decided he'd grown too old? Or perhaps he'd found himself a nice female.
She frowned slightly thinking about it, but this was life. She blinked and her head jerked as she spotted movement out of the corner of her eye. It had been so long since she'd seen anything pass by her mound that she was growing worries! She leaned forward and narrowed her eyes, squinting to get a better look.
It was... another cheetah. She was sure of it! But it was not her son! Well, it didn't matter. She shifted and jumped from the mound, heading for the lake at a healthy pace. She said nothing though, offered no greeting yet.

Bandele had become conscious of being trailed only a short while after arriving at the lake but decided to leave it be as they had not attacked him yet when he was sure there had been at least several ample opportunities. He let out a soft sigh before dipping his mouth into the water, lapping up it's sweet nectar. Who knew the next time he would have water. Or at least of this quality.
When the blue and black male had, had his fill he turned himself to the right and began walking only a short distance away from the water. Once he reached a spot that wasn't covered in wet soggy sand he laid down and looked around before laying his head on his front paws. "How long are you going to follow me?" Bandele finally asked, though not moving from his position. "If you are going to attack me or the like I suggest you stop wasting both of our times." Bandele said, not wanting to be harsh but not wanting to beat around the bush any longer.

Poza, who'd lived in solitude most of her life with the exception of when her son came into the world, did not think it stange to be following another without a word. How could she know that something as such was weird or wrong? She only knew that she was curious of the other and that it'd been a very long time since she'd had contact with any other cheetah besides her son. She remained crouched low to the ground, pausing when the male did and moving when he moved.
As he drank she suddenly realized that she too was thirsty, very thirsty. She frowned and eyed the water, about to move forward to join him for a drink. But she'd waited too long, he was already leaving! She watched, crouched low in the grasses, as he moved only a bit farther off and laid himself down. And then he spoke! Ah, she would not have to work out how to greet the other or think on what to speak to him about! But... but his words were questionable at best.
She stopped crouching, instead coming to her full height with a strong frown on her maw. "How long?" She repeated, suddenly wondering herself. How long had she intended on following along? "Attack you?" Were the second words out of her mouth, sounding incredulous. "I had no such intentions..." She offered, and then found herself chuckling. "If I had... wouldn't I have done so sooner?" Specifically, when she hadn't been noticed?
She moved toward the water, only now getting hints of the realization that one simply did not follow another around for no reason. "I was just looking for my son. Though it seems I found something more interesting." It was him, of course. A stranger, a mystery! "Are you always so paranoid?"
