 A cute café with a peaceful atmosphere. Many Rosentale students and even faculty come here to study or grade papers.

 Kamil Terrace ________________________"I like it up at the surface. There are a lot more interactive creatures up here. It's fun meeting the different species. And I haven't complained about the food here yet. Although I have to say our fish dishes are better than yours." Kamil answered as he ran his hand through his hair and attempted to pin it back since it finally dried from his swim, "There are a lot of colors that I've never seen before here. The only thing I don't like is that everything up here is so dry."
Kamil stepped into the cafe and was awed by the design of the cafe. The place looked cluttered with all the chairs in the area and the ground was flat and slippery. There was no seaweed growing out of it. It glistened a slightly orange color due the rays of the setting sun.
"I like this place already! Let's grab a spot and get eating!" Kamil said as he grabbed Angela's arm and dragged her into the room, excited to taste something new. He pulled out a chair for Angela and was disappearing to the other side of the table and was soon sitting in his seat.

Angela.Tremaine  "I'm not fond of fish, real--" Angela was cut off when a rather enthusiastic Kamil grabbed her arm and dragged her to a nearby table. She found herself sitting, before she quite realized what had happened. Blinking down at the table for a minute, her head spinning a bit, she reached for one of the menus arranged in front of them.
"Do you like sweets?" she asked as she glanced over the different treats offered. She imagined they didn't have real sweets underwater, since preparation would be sort of...difficult. In fact, did they eat anything besides seaweed and raw fish? Ew. No wonder he was so excited about eating. After a lifetime of sushi, she would also be thrilled to finally get out and try something new. "I was actually thinking I might try a strawberry scone with clotted cream. And black tea."
The menu's blurb about the tea stated that it was imported. Hopefully that meant it was also good. she liked the cafe--it was well lit, and had a variety of types of seating, from cushy sofas in the corner, to slick booths. It would be a nice place to come to draw on rainy days, when she couldn't use the park. She looked up from the menu at Kamil. "Things must look quite different underwater," she said. "I'm sure colors are slightly muted and all, but more than that--what did you use for light? Unless you're in the tropics, and near the surface, it gets dark rather quickly once you head down into deep water..."

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil was looking through the menu and was deciding what to eat for the day. He didn't want to eat everything at once so he could savor the days where he would taste something new. As he searched through the menu, he listened to Angela, who seemed to be really curious about the sea. Did she want to visit the sea someday? "Well, we're accustomed to seeing in the dark, but we also don't go too deep down in the water. We can't go into the water trenches since we can't see anything and the water gets too cold for even us to handle. There are way too many predators down there too, so it'd be suicied for a mer to go down into a trench. We don't really need any light asides from the light the sun provides us. At night, we all just sleep. That's just how it is for us."
Kamil finally found what he was going to pick. He grinned and showed Angela what he intended to pick. It was the cafe special. It was a mega large ice cream sundae meant for two, but of course he was going to eat it all by himself since Angela had her food and this was meant to be his. It was topped with so many flavors of ice cream and was garnished deliciously. "What do you think of this? I think I'll order this. They said that if a couple finishes this, we get a prize. Well, I dont' care about the prize, but I really want to eat this!"

Angela.Tremaine "It sounds interesting there. What made you decide to come to the surface? Are you staying indefinitely, or just long enough to go to school and experience surface life?" Perhaps he had just wanted a change, like she had. It really did sound interesting. She wondered what their cities were like--or if they even had cities as such. What sort of houses did they live in? She could probably pepper him with questions all night, but that seemed a bit rude.
Angela paused when he showed her his menu, along with what he intended to order.
"I hope you've got a lot of room in your stomach," she teased. "I've heard their ice cream is really good though so even if you don't want the prize, maybe you can manage to eat it all and win anyway. You never know, it might be something nice."
At that moment, the waitress arrived to take their orders. Angela stated what she wanted as the waitress scribbled on her little notepad and waited for Kamil to state his order as well.
((About how tall is Kamil, btw? Out of curiosity.))

Kamil Terrace ________________________"Well, since you're a surface dweller, you might end up missing the sun if you go to my home in the sea. Usually it isn't recommended that we go up to the surface. Most don't since it makes our skin dry out and it gets really gross when it does. But I guess I wanted to satisfy my curiosity rather than keep my beauty." Kamil laughed. The waitress had already gone to take their orders. Kamil leaned back on his chair as he stared at the artificial lights in the area, "You surface dwellers really do have more resources than us, don't you? I'm really envious. I want to stay for a long time, but I probably gotta head back home at some point in my life. My skin will wrinkle if I stay out here too long."
Kamil turned back to Angela. "Now it's your turn. Why don't you tell me something interesting about this world?"
((I wanted Kamil to be about a little bit at the borderline of being short for a guy. I was thinking about maybe 5 feet 4 inches. ^^)) ________________________

Angela.Tremaine "Oh anything but that," Angela teased. "We can't have you wrinkling up. That would be awful."
But when Kamil asked her to share something interesting about this surface world, she flushed and looked down, drumming her fingers on the table top nervously. "I-well, I'm likely not the best person to ask about that. My life has been a little strange so odd as it is, I don't have a lot of experience with the Human part of the world. After my mother died, I was sort of taken in by this uncle. And he--well--it's complicated and a long story but the point is that I didn't get out much for the next few years until my father came for me."
"And since then I've been with the Seelie Court and they don't really live in this world. I mean, they do, but they don't. It's confusing, but you know, Faeries tend to live in places that are right along side the real world, but slightly, um, detached from it. And it's actually quite different there, than it is here so even though I'm half mortal, I really am a bit out of touch with what it's like on this side of things. Perhaps I could tell you something interesting about the Seelie Court or Fae?"
"Because Faeries do all sorts of bizarre things. They hate science and technology, but at the same time, they like to use it anyway, and enhance it with magic so they come up with all sorts of odd creations, but never do anything with them."
((Hehe. Okay, that was pretty much how I imagined him but I wanted to be sure. That makes him only slightly taller than Angela. =3 ))

Kamil hadn't thought much about the Fae's world. He vaguely knew about it from the Asrai that often lived in the dark caves in the ocean. He would chat briefly with one before he would go to sleep. They were really shy though so it was hard to keep up a conversation with them.
"I actually don't know much about the Seelie Court or Faeries. They always struck me as cautious creatures. But if you have something interesting about them, then I'll hear it!" Kamil remarked, "And later, the both of us can just learn about this world together. We could try asking our classmates in the school."

Angela.Tremaine "Actually, if you're talking about food, Faerie food is known to be the most delicious food you will ever taste in your life," Angela said, leaning forward with a small, mischievous grin. "In fact, the food of the Fae is completely and utterly, irresistibly tempting to everyone else. The problem is that it's so addicting that once you taste it, you never want to eat anything else again. And if you don't eat more of it, you'll soon waste away and die."
She frowned, thinking about that. "That actually sounds rather terrible doesn't it? But that's why you never accept food from a Faerie. People have even written poetry and songs about the dangers of Faerie fruits. Actually, Fae can be horrible tricksters sometimes. Even the good ones are completely irritating." An image of her father rose in her mind at that moment and she felt a strong urge to travel all the way home just so she could punch him. He would most likely deserve it too.
At any rate, she leaned back in her chair and smiled at Kamil. "But fortunately you needn't worry about me. I haven't any reason to try to trick anyone into eating anything they shouldn't. So hopefully you'll always feel safe eating any food I might offer."
She twiddled her thumbs for a moment. "Well, as for the other, I wouldn't mind getting reacquainted with this world. It's where my mother is from, after all, so it must be worthwhile."
((Okay, and this is my last post since it's 3 am here. <.<; LoL We can continue tomorrow. ^^ ))

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil grimaced. He didn't want to eat food like that even if it was delicious enough to make him crave for more. It just seemed really cruel. He didn't tthink that Angela seemed like the type of person who would do sly things anyways. She actually seemed a little different from what he imagined a Faerie might be like. "You're right that does sound terrible. I don't think I'll be trying out Faerie food any time in the future."
Their orders had finally arrived. Kamil found his excitement returning as the large ice cream was placed before him and it looked exactly what it looked like in the picture, which usually didn't happen whenever Kamil ordered something. Kamil thought that the pictures on the menus over-dramatized the beauty of the food. He felt it was a scam, but it was never let down with the taste of the food anyways.
"Wooow! Look at this! I'm ready to dig in!"

Angela.Tremaine "Probably for the best," Angela said. "It actually doesn't taste that different from real food. Not to me anyway. It's just sort of...enchanted." She bit her lip and grinned as she watched Kamil's face. She was certain he was about her age, but he honestly got excited over the least little things. It was rather endearing in its own way.
She picked the little pot of cream that had come with her tea and poured a touch into her tea, also adding a small spoon of sugar. Lifing the fancy tea cup, she held the cup to her face, taking a long breath as the warm steam wafted up toward her. It smelled delicious. "It looks rather amazing," she agreed. "Are you actually going to be able to eat it all?"
Well, he probably would. He was a boy, after all. They could usually eat about anything. That was a bloody lot of ice cream, though. She set her cup down, and picked up her napkin, spreading it out on her lap. "Good luck."

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil had already started eating the ice cream. It was his first time tasting ice cream. The chocolate syrup was drizzled all over it. He finished one of the cinnamon sticks that was sticking out of the ice cream. The cherries were never seen since they disappeared into Kamil's mouth already.
When he got to the ice cream, he was delighted by the cold substance and was eating it at a fast pace when his head was suddenly overcome by a sharp pain.
"Yeeee-oooow!" Kamil clutched his head with his hand as it continued to sting. It wasn't pounding like a normal headache. It was just an ongoing sharp pain. "Why is my head hurting!? Was this ice cream poisoned!?" ________________________

Angela.Tremaine Angela was in the middle of savory her amazing strawberry scone when Kamil started wailing about his head. She quickly swallowed and put her cutlery aside as she jumped up and went around the table to rub his back. "It's alright," she told him as she patted him. Poor thing. She was actually trying not to laugh. This must be his first time eating ice cream. He'd been just shoveling it in like that.
"It wasn't poisoned. Just take deep breaths and it'll pass. You can't eat ice cream that fast, or you'll get a headache. But it doesn't last." She chuckled softly. "That is what most people refer to as 'brain freeze.' It's caused by very cold foods causing the blood vessels in the roof of your mouth to constrict, then rapidly dilate again and I assure you that it's normal."
"Just eat a bit more slowly and it shouldn't happen again."
She leaned down to look at his face, giving him a reassuring smile. "Are you alright now?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________Just as Angela said, his headache started to go away. Kamil blinked and released his head. "you're right it stopped. Is this really normal? I guess I'll have to eat ice cream slowly, huh? But it really does taste good. Even if it was poisoned, I might still eat it anyways." Kamil laughed. He probably looked ridiculous in front of Angela. He was slightly embarrassed about it too.
"I guess I'll just have to eat this quickly but with small bites then. Do you think that'll work? Or should I avoid letting it touch the roof of my mouth?" Kamil asked as he started to get confused a little. He wasn't sure if he could eat it slowly without forgetting.
