Kumo was finally settle into this pride he felt at home, this pride gave him purpose and he like the fact that it was small so everyone knew everyone sure more members joined here and there and that was likely to happen but for now he was enjoying the family vibe; after all this WAS his new family and he was happy with them. As a protector he felt like he had to protect his family he always did so now this pride gave him something to protect, it was his family and he was finally coming to terms with it.
Kumo walked around in the labryinth of the pride checking making sure everyone was doing well making sure no one was in any trouble. Him and Sgiach, the queen of the pride, have been getting along well he loved to see how she was close to all the members in the pride, she didnt have servents and followers she was like one of the pride. Yes she was the head and Kumo knew the pride and himself respected her like she was the queen and he believed she was respected more because she atually cared about her followers like the time she came to visit for the first time.
He can across the cave entrence and just layed at the mouth enjoing the stary night. He rolled over on his back so he can get a better view of the sky. After being in this pride even for a little while he definatly felt a very close connection to the night sky, he felt like it was a part of his family.

Fin'lay had just left the border lands after having a conversation with one of the Sons of Erebus about recent members and how they were being accepted into the pride by them. She was quite pleased with the little meeting but found herself needing to wind down a bit and have a little fun. Lately there was a lot of serious business that needed attending to, the council breathing down her neck about the way she was ruling the pride. If she was being frank she could care less about what they thought about her way of keeping the pride together, but due to tradition she had to at least listen to them.
But her family, the members of the pride were happy with the way things were and how she treated them. Maybe it was because she saw them as family rather then underlings. That was one key thing her and the council disagreed on. Sighing loudly she approached the cave entrance, her eyes closed. When she finally opened them--just as she was about to go inside and go to her den-- she noticed Kumo laying down staring up at the stars. Curiously she raised her head and looked at the night sky. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.
Looking back down she walked over to Kumonryu. "Hello Kumo. Is there something wrong with the stars?" She asked curiously, still not realizing that he was just looking at him, basking in their beauty. Fin'lay sat down next to him and peered into his eyes, seeing if there was something instead wrong with him and not the stars. Had something happened? She could feel herself aging just from worry.

Kumo looked at the majestic purple female. "No they just look nice tonight." He wondered if she has ever done that? Just stopped and looked at the stars. "Would you like to join me?" He said giving a warming smile, he hasn't spent much time with her other then there on night and that was a long while ago.
He stared into her eyes, her marking matching the night sky, when he first saw her, his breath was taken away with her beauty but after he learn she was the leader then he had to be serious about his rank. He had to respect the order of the pride but this pride was oddly divided, he understood it but it was still difficult to grasp. His stare not leaving her eyes he smiled, "Its a beautiful night." Hope she would take a break from her probably stressful job and stop and enjoy the scenery.

When Kumo replied she smiled and nodded a bit, now understanding what he was doing. "They do look rather beautiful." She said, looking up at the stars for a brief moment then down back at him. "I suppose I can." Fin'lay replied, laying down next to him and gazing up at the night sky, searching for whatever star might have him currently enchanted. As she breathed a few calming breaths she nodded. "It is a beautiful night."
Turning her head slightly so that she could look at Kumo she found herself wondering how he could be so, so, pure. "How was your day?" She asked, a sign of a smile lurking underneath her maw. "Are you able to sleep all day now?" She asked, wanting so desperately to catch up with him. It wasn't often that she could relieve herself from the stresses of the day and just enjoy something as simple as this. But, Kumo made it seem easy. Her orange eyes gazed into his purple one's, hoping to see some kind of answer to all her problems. But all she could see was his good and strong heart. Fin'lay turned her head away and looked back up at the stars, her cheeks feeling a bit warm to her. "I wonder sometimes why the stars are there. Or how they got there." She said more to herself then anything. Fin'lay turned and looked at him. "But then I let my imagination run and make up stories for each star I see and how it came to be a star there." She laughed.

He was happy when she decided to stay she did look like she needed a nice break. "My day was good." He was progressing nicely remembering how he had begun to try and start learning the areas outside of the cave. He had to train as best as he could so he could do it absolute best to prtect the pride. "Yes my hours have adjusted although i still wake up before everyone and sleep after them." He did this on purpose it allowed him to make sure noone was hurt or in danger. He could scout before and after for any unwanted or trouble-some other. His job isnt to scare in off but to protect them from anyone who may cause harm and thats what he intented to do.
Kumo wondered if she ever stoped and looked up at the sky and just enjoyed it. She was the leader so she did have responsibilites but sometimes one just needs to relax. "Nyota used to tell me the stars are all the tears cried for the loss of a loved one, the moon would pull them up to the sky so they could be remembered for all eternity." He paused it was one of his favorite stories, one he would always remember even though he never lost anyone he still felt for those who did. He let his tail lay inches from her unconciously, he wondered if she ever lost anyone.

"That is very good to hear." She said, a smile crossing her maw. It was nice to just lay here and hear of his wonders within the pride. Something she listened to often, but with him it was different. She felt a bond with him unlike anyone else in the pride. It was a mystery to what this bond exactly was, but she liked it nonetheless.
Fin'lay couldn't help but laugh a bit at his odd sleep schedule. "I suppose the warrior in you has yet to be broken." She said, still unaware of what his choice would be. Who and what he would be within the pride. Looking at the stars she wondered if Nyota's tale was true. It was highly possible. Her parents were surely up there. At least in her thoughts they were.
"I never thought of that being the case. Although, when I imagine my own blood kin I imagine them looking over me." Fin'lay said with a slight shrug. "So I suppose that tale could be very true." Her head shifted to look at him once more. Her body turning with her, as her paw lightly touched his shoulder. "Stars are both sad and joyous wonders." She said with a smile.

He looked to her after feeling her touch, he felt a strange pressence crawl down his spine it was odd, but not unpleasent. He gave her a smile. The warrior in him, he liked the sound of that. He did feel the need to protect anyone and everyone he cared about, even in his old pride he was a guard. He simply ignored it, he didnt know what to think about it but he wasnt going to worry about it.
"I like to think its true, starts are filled with mystery and death is a mystery. But who really knows." Kumo gave her a slight smile before returning to a somewhat stoic expression gazing back into the sky. He wondered if there were stars for those lost but still alive, like his family; whom he'll never see again.

As Fin'lay watched him she wondered what was exactly running through his mind at that moment, but decided not to ask. "You're very wise for your age Kumo." She smiled once more. "Though, don't let that go to your head." She laughed.
Her eyes scanned him as he looked up at the stars before she turned herself onto her belly and then stood up. Fin'lay moved her eyes to the horizon behind him for a moment before returning her gaze back to the young male. "I believe we both need a little bit more excitement in our lives today. Don't you?" She asked, a warm and gentle smile gracing her maw. Fin'lay wasn't sure what he was thinking but she felt the need to whisk him away from the stars and maybe even his thoughts, if only for a little while.
Not waiting further for an answer Fin'lay began her walk from their current spot, heading off towards the direction she had been facing. Once more she was leaving the decision up to Kumo on whether or not he would follow. Though, she was almost one hundred percent positive he would follow.

"I wont" Kumo sat up, pondering what his queen was doing. Kumo figured she probably had duties he had been keeping her from. Excitement? Kumo had to protect the pride, there was no excitement in that, well other then when he felt like he did his job; wasnt that excitement? Kumo noticed her walked away toward the horizon, where was she going alone? Kumo wasnt sure if he was meant to follow but he did saying behind her. He just wanted to make sure wherever she was going she was going to be safe.

Fin'lay noticed his hesitation but decided to over look it as she had left the decision up to him to follow. But then when he finally followed after her she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. She hoped he would like what they were going to do. "Are you afraid of water or heights?" Fin'lay asked curiously as she came to a stop, now in the center of a hardly used path.
She turned herself and looked at him. "It may effect just how much fun you have. And, you certainly will." Fin'lay grinned then shrugged. "If not, well.... I shall stand before the council and tell them how I no nothing." She raised a brow. "I believe they would enjoy that." She laughed once more.
