I am pretty new Saiyuki fan
I found out about Saiyuki from one of my friends, and she let me borrow the manga. and just yesturday I finally got my own Saiyuki manga #1! I was super hyper I was so happy, I read it right away, again and again, till my mom saw me reading it, and she took it away from me! (i was at a "gross part") she said it was too mature for me, and gave it to my dad for "safe" keeping. crying

I would threaten to burn down my own house if I didn't get my Saiyuki stuff back. XD Not really but, I'd be really pissed off. Anyways, I hope your parents give it back to you. *pat pat*

*blinks* Wow, who are your parents? Geebus, I was five years old when I saw a movie where a chick got her boobs whacked off. Ah, moving on! I neva really thought Saiyuki was that...mature? Then again, once you've seen Sailor Moon in Japanese and Cowboy Bebop, many things seem tame. Anyway, hope you get your Saiyuki back.

on the one hand for the too young like 8 it is too mature but if your a teen i really don't see a problem. but my parents are really libreal and as long as they some what know what i read they are fine. but haveing a book taken away, for that reason... i really can't see. (but i'm 1 of 5 that had books taken away so we would go outside to play and not turn into vamps or something like that)

hmm ya that would happen to me if I bought it... so i borrow the dvds and manga or read the manga at the bookstore, cuz the oldest I am allowed to watch is teen (13+) when I asked to buy the saiyuki dvd that said 14+ my mom said no cuz it had blood on it -_-;; but my dad said I could buy a 17+ dvd of kenshin -_-;; my parents are weird...

You'd be safer with sticking to the anime. The manga has several panels that are a little out there sweatdrop

i bet you 10 bucks your dad read it and secertly liked it.....because that's what my mom did with me when i was like 15ish and now she loves anime and watches it with me xp
