Blah, it was bound to happen sooner or later that someone would post a link to Vigilant Citizen's website. I enjoy reading his articles for i'm particularly interested in secret societies and the occult. But I remain a skeptic. So I was on today and saw that he did an article on Gaga's Marry The Night video (Gaga is a rather popular subject on his site). Link HereI usually tend to roll my eyes when reading but I perked up when he felt that this video was an almost obvious jab at how dark the music industry in general is. I've always argued that Gaga is the rare exception since I feel she is really talented up the wazoo, but even I was sitting here realizing that her previous record label dropped her not because of lack of talent but because she (for lack or a better term) didn't have some catchy selling point about her herself. We all know how different she looks now from before. I read this article not as a jab at Gaga but as a jab at the music industry itself. So tell me lovely guild, what are your thoughts on this? What are your thoughts on the occult and secret societies in general? Do you believe? If anyone else is interested in his Gaga articles i'll link them here: Judas AnalysisBorn This Way AnalysisAlejandro AnalysisTelephone AnalysisBad Romance AnalysisGaga: Illuminati PuppetGaga: Illuminati Puppet Part 2Yeah, he likes writing about Lady Gaga Any thoughts on any of these articles?

Actually DefJam dropped her because they didn't get her. They didn't get the song Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.
I try not to get into conspiracy theories and Illuminati bullcrap, because I'm pretty sure they have been accusing popstars of being occultists and all that stuff since... like... Madonna? MJ? Cher? Elvis?
Trust me, it's probably someone trying to get famous. That's how I think of it.
I believe though, someone's conspiracy theory in mostly general and smarter societies bullshit and someone's cult is someone else's religion.
I leave my conspiracy theories to government coverups of aliens, and other creatures.

I leave my conspiracy theories to government coverups of aliens, and other creatures. I just finished reading Ozzy Osbourne's memoir. The best part about it was that even though their band was obviously called Black Sabbath, and much of their music had occult symbolism, none of the member had anything to do with it. In fact, Satanists scared the s**t out of Ozzy and the rest of the members. They wrote about it because the occult (and the recent Manson murders) were a big thing in that time era and they wanted to, I guess you could say, cash in on it. This makes me think of Gaga. I remember an interview (cannot recall which one) and she was talking about how she is aware of these Illuminati rumours and if anything she gets ecstatic about them. I feel that she probably enjoys perpetuating these rumours. Th latest Illuminati rumour is that the reason why Amy Winehouse is dead and not Lady Gaga is that Lady Gaga accepted "the night" while Amy said no. Thus they killed her off. No no, it has nothing to do with alcohol poisoning (I believe it was) rolleyes

Amy, I miss you.

How unfortunate. I don't know a lot of her music but I knew how successful and well respected she was. What a tragedy

Some of the people who comment on those articles are ridiculously bigoted and misinformed. It's not VigilantCitizen I'm ticked off with (except he restricts your freedom of expression by deleting any comments against his blog), it's the people commenting that 'banish' the artists to hell and bring Jesus into the equation. Even VigilantCitizen himself has stated that his articles are not supposed to be Christian propaganda.. but whatever, VC is teeming with 'O Holy Saviour will banish Lady Gaga to hell! I will pray for her tonight.'
I don't believe in all of the Illuminati s**t, anyway. I'm a member on another Gaga forum outside of Gaia, and a member came in with various articles on why Gaga is a member of the Illuminati, and several of our members tried to debunk his idea with some success (including me! biggrin ). It's an interesting read but it spans around 20+ pages, but it really has helped me in trying to clear my conscience of this s**t. It causes unneeded stress.

I honestly have yet to meet a person who believes in the Illuminati and yet does not hold a faith. They seem to go hand in hand
