Those who take failure under his watch lightly are wont to wish they hadn't, as there is rarely a second chance...even for those who consider themselves 'above the cut' in the Masked Circle's fold. Bio: A fighter from a young age, King Leo's parents brought him to Japan illegally to escape their own country after they failed the government in Russia, allowing many secrets to leak out that deemed them worthy of "disposal". Only a short time after coming to Japan though, their tails caught up and left the parents brutally murdered while Sergei hid from the assassins, overhearing only that they would remove any evidence by burning the home, and the hidden child with it. In some form of luck, Sergei managed to escape the burning home and the servants of his motherland had fled due to the approaching sirens.
A short time later he was sent to an orphanage under his new name "Makarov", after he had refused to divulge any information about himself; and due to his parent's new and reclusive nature, no one in the neighborhood had known the family, much less that they had children. Unfortunately the professionals were not so easily fooled, and one night they found the orphanage, slipping in quietly using the ID card of a dead staff member while Makarov, who had developed an acute case of insomnia after convincing himself they would return, was the first to notice their entrance. Convinced he couldn't stop them in a fair fight, Makarov slipped out before anyone had noticed, and reset the lock on the doors suddenly, the assassins having left the card with the deceased body near the door. Then, he decided to "baptize" the orphanage, just as they had his home; and that night not only did the chase for the young Russian end with the death of everyone involved in his old existence, but also with the deaths...of every single child in the orphanage.
Once again graced with poor luck however, Makarov was arrested a short time later, and rightly pinned with the crime of arson. With some convincing however, it was defended as an accident, but his cold demeanor and insistence that no one of importance had died led him to be sent to an asylum, where he would stay indefinitely...likely meant to grow old and die before he ever saw the sunlight again. It was in this asylum he met Tatsuya Sudou, a man who raved constantly about his past, and a witch who had cursed him with the power of Persona, as well as a boy named Tatsuya Suoh who had used that same power to give him his scar. As they continually met Tatsuya Sudou's stories became more and more outlandish, and often times he was even restrained, or they were forced to separate as both were considered dangerous and capable of provoking each other's insanities. And to be fair, they were right. Makarov believed Tatsuya Sudou, all the insanities he spoke and even the things that seemed proven through his power, and in time that madman escaped to become 'King Leo', showing the world that everything he said was true. Though rumors disappeared, and Tatsuya Sudou disappeared in the battle to follow, and even as memories of those events were stripped away, one madman remained; Makarov, who even before the great incident in Sumaru City, had believed whole heartedly in the fires consuming Tatsuya Sudou's burning will.
Like two peas in a pod, a King and his mirror image, what Tatsuya Sudou did once Makarov did later. Eventually Makarov broke free of the asylum, not freed like Sudou, and found the JOKER to take on the power he'd desired for so long. Granted the rank of King Leo, he sought to both force Tatsuya Suou and Maya Amano to remember their crimes against Sudou using their devil's power, and to set the whole of the world ablaze again, to baptize it for the worthy who would believe in JOKER's power. Makarov has lived his entire life succeeding in situations that were life and death, and to him, the concept of a failure that does not matter hardly exists. If one of their organization faces a Persona User and fails, there is no escape to see another day; even the most menial of failures in gathering followers for JOKER-sama can result in extreme punishment, the likes of which make those who now live in the Masked Circle fear to return without success in their arms.
First JOKER Game: King Leo's power came from the JOKER game, a rumor equal to the Persona game that was said to make your dreams come true. Like two sides of the same coin, each brought power to the user, but King Leo's faith in JOKER never wavered, and so he cast aside the worthless Persona game without ever giving it consideration. Instead, upon his return to society, he found three hapless fools to assist him in the ritual...and then promptly killed them. Quote: Initial Persona's DataWeapon: Sword Fighting Style: A Raging Inferno Arcana: Sun Persona Name: Reverse Apollo/ Iron Monger Shadow: A sad version of Khalisov that laments all the problems he's been faced with in life, that wishes things had turned out for the better. Despite all this, it does become violent when recounting his meeting with Tatsuya Sudou, agreeing that he was the only way out for them. Still, it greatly differs from it's creator in it's lament of the past, whereas he embraces the inferno that gave rise to the Lion. Ideal Self: King Leo's Ideal Self is the Lion who stands above the sheep, devouring the weak who are unworthy for JOKER's world. As long as he can consume all the weak in a blaze, King Leo will be satisfied with the power he's gained through JOKER's Ideal. Rival: Having taken on Tatsuya Sudou's hatred of the Witch, King Leo views Maya Amano and Tatsuya Suou as the people who stand in the way of the Masked Circle's destiny. There is a sort of desperation and bitterness about her that leaves a bad taste in one's mouth; but there is also a sweetness about her, a last remnant of the child dreaming of the spotlights in her. However, that last genuine piece of her personality has been quickly fading away. Bio: As a child, Amarante knew exactly what she wanted to be when she was an adult. She was going to be an actress and everyone in her household knew it, the little girl would constantly run her mouth about how she was going to be a big star one day. At an early age she tried to achieve her dream, practicing on her own and trying out for school plays – but no matter how much she practiced or how hard she tried she never seemed to get the part. She didn't have the talent or the stage presence needed to break into the career, she wasn't a strong actress, but this did not stop her trying for years. But eventually it grew to be too much, the blonde girl was beginning to resign herself to the idea that she'd never be anything more than a waitress working minimum wage for the rest of her life. A chance meeting, a miracle by the name of JOKER, however reawoke her passion for the stage. Inspiration came to her then and that previously unattainable dream was suddenly in her reach. With this new found confidence came fame and fame they say corrupted the beautiful woman. First Persona Game: At her first audition a few of the girls joked with each other that if they played the persona game it would raise the chance that they might get picked – that was of course, if your persona showed up to you. Amarante nervously agreed to play and when nothing happened the girls quickly disbanded and grew to dislike one another. Despite his attempts to see the hope at the end of a tunnel he still finds himself lost in the darkness, and now he is just a beaten man. Already have given up on everything and considers himself a useless man compared to his parents. Heads in the clouds longing to be a great man, and to bring his family’s company to a all time high. Bio: After his parents untimely accident Hideki was now the heir to their company, but even at the age of 19 he didn’t even know how to run such a thing. It was hard, but his advisors manage to carry it on until he was right of age. Truth be told, Hideki could never live up to his parents shadow, they ran a international business for god’s sake and they expected him to continue on the legacy? He was nothing like the man they wanted to lead the company, he was nothing like his parents, and that thought in his mind brought him into a deep depression. And so Hideki spent his days gambling away at the money, and losing it with each hand. It sucked, his life was totally going downhill form here and there was nothing he could do about, or was there? When it seem like that all he could do was put a bullet through his skull a miracle came by, a miracle known as JOKER. He wanted to be the man that his parents wanted him to be, he wanted to be a man that would lead his family business into a brighter future, and so he got what he wanted and now he was on top the food chain again. Saying that maybe Hideki should try out the game maybe his persona would give him better luck. Personality: Straightforward, often abrasively so, Aoko is the sort of person who believes that problems are simply there to be solved, and she often takes a direct approach to doing so. Her belief in herself and her own goals is pretty much absolute, and this has been known to make her somewhat hard to deal with when she's encountering somebody of inferior beliefs. Despite her rough edges, though, Aoko is basically a good person... who just happens to have done quite a lot in order to obtain power. Her liveliness is well-reflected in her magical abilities, which keep her quite healthy. Bio: Her powers may well have resulted from her family, since Aoko is descended from a family that used to work with magic. When she was very young, Aoko was merely skeptical about all of this, being something of a cynical and sarcastic sort of child. Her parents never really let up, though, and gradually brought Aoko into believing in magic, then demanding she be better at it than anyone else. A little bit awkward, that, but she wound up studying old grimoires and the like, first out of boredom and then fairly seriously. After she played the Persona Game, however, her studies and actions continued, and one day she summoned up somebody known only as JOKER... She really is quite good at what she does, though, being both powerful and tough, which is probably why the Masked Circle respects her. First Persona Game: Upon hearing the rumors of a game granting supernatural powers, Aoko's entire family was interested. They had, after all, been pushing her to study magic for the last ten years or so, and they were very serious about playing it with her. Anything that would finally unlock Aoko's power was okay by them... Not to the extent she'd give up magic (which, though she disliked it as a child, she's now quite fond of), but she would like to relax occasionally, go shopping, have a boyfriend, see the movies she wants to see, and otherwise have fun. Ideal Self: Aoko's ideal self is somebody who really is capable of living up to her family's hopes and dreams. To that end, she wants to be better at magic than anybody else, which may just explain her position as the Magus of Pisces... Rival: None. The only person Aoko ever blaims for her failings is herself, because she "didn't work hard enough". She might make a rival if she ever finds somebody better at magic than she is, though... Unfortunately, she's still somewhat on the inexperienced side, so she can't always control it. Her primary (and, in fact, ONLY) method of attacking is flinging out power through her Starbow ability, which deals random damage of a random element (both RNG'd, from Medium to Severe and Fire to Almighty) to all enemies. Even she doesn't know what will come out; it could be completely useless or turn out to be a minor apocalypse... Incidentally, getting proper control of this ability is one of her goals in life. Starbow is used by rolling 2 10-sided dice.

Oh, but I don't want anybody else to be able to see it and make me weaker by removing it, either." So... he gave her some undergarments. Aoko was laughing too hard to protest afterwards.
