Wandering. That is all that he had been doing for the passed week now. There was no seeking in this, no amazing meetings or adventure. Just a lot of walking and being hungry. It wouldn't hurt the Gods to throw him a damn bone once in a while as far as this seeking thing was concerned. Yes, he had gotten lost a couple times, had to flee from a pack of wild dog AND was tricked by a lioness to give her his meal. Why couldn't he have a nice thing happen to him now?
Heaving a heavy sigh, Prometheus suddenly stopped. "This is bullshit." Knitting his brows further he flopped onto the ground, a sandy cloud rushing passed him as he did so. "And I don't care anymore. My feet hurt, I am hungry, and I am sick of going in this direction. Why can't someone seek me out for once!"
If only he knew that what he was seeking was no longer there in the first place. His pride was gone, his family had moved on and he had no idea. He just followed the shore, hoping to one day stumble upon what he was looking for, or perhaps find a new purpose to the seeking he was doing. So far, all it seemed like to him was an excuse to leave the pride and tell stories about useless knowledge that won't help anyone with anything.
"And I am the curious one of my family!" Shaking his head, Prometheus breathed in deeply. All he could smell was salty sea water. Nothing was familiar here, and it was definitely dampening his spirits.
Would he ever find his pride, or what remained of it? Possibly, but in the mood he was in, never.

Her day had started off great for Kishi and was continuing to look up. Humming a little tune she wiggled her butt, in a swaying motion, as she cleaned her home. Always stay postive, that was her way of thinking and living. Eyeing her supplies, it wasn't too bad though she would have to go out hunting in a few days time. Stretching her lean body before wandering out of her current home. Kishi didn't plan to live here for long... the rogue lands just weren't for her to permanently stay.
The crisp somewhat cool air hit her face as soon as she made her way out of her cave. Off in the distance dark clouds were forming, not much but still nature can be unpredictable. " Hmmm, I suppose I could go out for a little walk-about before the bad weather comes along."

Prometheus continued to loaf about the sands. Not really caring about the dark clouds that decided to roll in, nor the angry squawking of a bird couple in the distance. As far as he was concerned he could sit and wait in the sand forever until someone came his way, and this way she did seem to be coming. A sweet brown lioness, an God sent in his eyes. Perhaps he would get lucky in some way?
With a big grin, Promo slowly got to his feet. At last something was going his way! Shaking his mane, he preened himself some, making sure he didn't look like a crazy slob and perhaps even make himself handsome in her eyes. Then, once he was done with his preening he puffed out his chest and made his way over to the lioness.
Stopping a safe distance away, Prometheus made a quick bow of his head then look at her appreciatively. "Hello! I am Prometheus. It is pleasure to see another lion out here. Mind if I keep you company for awhile?" He felt almost nervous as he waited, but he pushed away the feeling. Wouldn't want to look like a twittery girl in front of someone new, and honestly to be suddenly denied companionship after being alone for so long would likely kill him.

She had run into another lion down the road and asked him if she was heading towards the Pride Lands. When the lion couldn't help her, she decided to move on in hopes of someone that could help. Kishi had just turned the corner when she was somewhat startled by a male lion who walked up to her puffed chest and all. A slow grin seemed to grace her face as she took in the others appearance. " Well, hello there suga. I've been by myself for sometime in these rogue lands trying to find a place to call my own. I suppose you can keep me company for a little while, I don't mind. I am trying to find the Pride Lands, I was talking to another lioness and she told me all about their customs.. I just hope I will be accepted. My name is Kishi and its nice to meet you Prometheus. An interesting name you have there, you from around these parts?" She smiled at him her eyes all a glow with amusement and friendliness. It wouldn't hurt to make a new friend while she was here.

Prometheus visibly calmed as the lioness agreed in allowing him to accompany her. Luck! Such luck didn't come this way often, and what was better was the fact that she was trying to find a pride. Perhaps he could take her to the pride. Especially seeing as his own pride... he just couldn't find. Oddly...
"You are trying to find the Pride Lands? I believe I have been there once, I could show you the way. However..." Prometheus looked back towards the ocean, then up at the sky. "I am trying to find my pride... The more I think about it, the worse I feel about it." Where did this sudden foreboding come from? It hit him like a rock, and the more he thought about it the more it made sense to feel that way, and also make him panic.
"I am sort of from this area. We live on the sands and make dens in caverns close to the beach. However, as I said... I can't find my pride." His heart started beating faster as his mind started whirling. What if... What if the pride was no more. Brows furrowed as he stared at the ground for a few minutes, weighing his options on what to do. Looking back to Kishi, Promo sighed, she might be his only chance.
"I have a proposition for you, Kishi. Would you mind following me down the beach for a bit. This was about where our pride should be. Once I find it, I will show you the way to the Pride Lands, or at least get you started in the direction of the pride. I am sure Pride Rock would be lovely to see again and would certainly be a welcoming sight for you."
Slumping, Prometheus attempted to keep his worry from his face. What would he do if they were no longer there? He enjoyed the ability to roam, though he also enjoyed being able to be part of a pride. He had no idea, and he decided he would just have to figure that out when he got there.

Kishi couldn't believe her luck and she perked up as he offered to take her to where she wanted to live. " OH! Oh.. I'm sorry you can't find your pride." She wandered closer to place a gentle paw on the males shoulders and tried to ease the stress from him as she could see Prome working himself into a tizzy. " Never you worry Prome, maybe we can find both your homeland as well as the Pride Lands." Kishi found herself becoming attached to this fluffy fellow and it saddened her that they would have to part ways once they found their homes as they were from different prides.
" Of course," She smiled as she thought about the harmless detour. " If this little detour will ease your mind then I say let us find this home of yours and then the Pride Lands. There's nothing like a little adventure in ones life! So lead on Prome~!" She spoke with an easygoing tease to her tone.

Prometheus ears perked at the gentle touch Kishi, and for a moment he was unable to reply as he was enjoying the feeling of another's touch. It was after she moved her paw that Prometheus could speak, a little wobbly at first, but gradually his voice became strong again. "I hope so, if nothing else I would like to find... traces of it. We had been going through rough times, which is the reason I am even out here now. Trying to find some sort of help." Shifting his position, he looked directly at her, deciding to truly look over his new travelling companion.
She was pretty, and he was glad he had at least attempted to make himself look a little less disheveled. Her eyes were brown, but they almost seemed to have a bit of green tint to them while her markings were minimal but... pretty. It suited her nicely. Secretly he decided he would make sure to keep her safe, especially on the journey out to the Pride Lands. Perhaps he would learn sometime about himself on the journey too.
Smiling softly as his eyebrows quivered with mixed emotions he picked himself up. Prome, aye? He could deal with a nickname like that. "I can't thank you enough, Kishi." Walking passed her towards what seemed like it might be the distant outline of his homes dens, Prometheus looked back to her. "I believe this shall be an enjoyable journey, let us just hope we don't get caught in the rain and can find some sort of shelter and something to eat afterwords." Looking back towards his destination he sighed and moved a heavy paw forward. There was no use holding back now, and if he found the pride gone... Well there was always the Pride Lands or... another pride he could join.
"If those rocks end up being my pride... it should be about a third a days walk. So long as things are alright we could stay there, however... if there is something wrong, we should head back here. I think I know a place we could find shelter, and possibly food. Come morning again we shall be off towards the Pride Lands." ...Even if I don't find my old pride.

Mentally she awww but verbally she spoke, " I'm sorry to hear things have been so rough, it is never easy when ones home is affected." She spoke directly to him when he turned to stare at her, gold meet brown. He truly was comingly not just in appearance but in heart as well, she could tell before was a male with strong emotions and she liked that. " No problem, a journey is better suited with two rather than one I say. " She brushed her shoulders along his in comfort as she walked beside him. " Alright, if the weather turns worse or our bellies complain then we will take a break for the time being."
She nodded her head and hummed an agreement as she listened to him speak. " Let us hope nothing has become of your home, but in the event that something has happened you are more than welcome to journey with me to the Pride Lands. I can not imagine the emotions you must be filling as I have never really been apart of a family or pride before but I am here for you Prome." There was just something about this male that got under her fur, in a good way. Looking upwards eyeing the sky she hoped the weather stayed nice for them a long journey could often be tiring, physically and emotionally.

Golden-Green eyes glittered with unshed tears, she was being far too understanding. Something he hardly came across during his travels was compassion. Or at least, compassion without receiving something in return. Something big. All he had done was requested her company and he would travel to the Pride Lands with her. If his pride still needed help, well, it was likely he would head there next anyway. However, these feelings of hurt for him because of his own problems? This was something genuine, something rare, and very, very refreshing. Deciding not to reply anymore about his home, Prometheus smiled, cheering himself up.
"I am certainly lucky. For a very long time... I felt like I wouldn't be able to find any luck at all. Here karma was just pooling into a big bubble to award me all at once." Puffing his chest out again, Promo took another look at his new companion then quickly dashed off. Looking back at the lioness, Promo called out. "Race ya!" Winking, he turned ahead again. Swiftly forgetting the pain that was cause from the incredible worry for his pride and family.

" Woohoo!" She yelled out with abandoned laughter and happiness as she raced along side of Prome. " Hey! Wait up there handsome~ " She began to pick up speed to keep up with his fast pace enjoying the freedom of just being alive and in this males presence. She hoped selfishly that Prome would join her in the lands she was headed for to start a future for themselves. Shaking off those thoughts she brought herself back to being in the present and ran towards the ruins. Whatever was headed their way Kishi welcomed it. Whatever would be would be.
END.
