Senshi: Eternal Sailor Nemesis, Senshi of Decay

Name: Delphine Amary

Nicknames: Delph

Age: 19

Birthday: December 6th

Sign: Sagittarius

Blood Type: O-

Fav. Food: Anything that is sweet, and likely unhealthy to consume.

Hated Food: Healthy foods are usually scooped off her plate and fed to her brother's dog.

School: N/A - Graduated from Crystal Academy, currently putting college on hold.

Hobbies:

Negaverse Hunting - This may not seem like the most... healthy hobby for a teenage girl, but it is something Delphine has dedicated herself to as Sailor Nemesis. There is a certain thrill that lights her starseed with fire when she defends the weak, and defeats the enemy. While killing her enemies is no longer something she actively considers, there is no stopping her from trying to take anyone down who harms normal civilians. Even stopping a Negaverser for one night is a small victory for Delphine.

Planet Nemesis - Delphine used to believe that the past did not matter, but opinions and beliefs change. Once a week Delphine takes a trip to her planet as Sailor Nemesis, hoping to unlock the mystery's that hide behind broken walls and empty halls. She knows enough about her past life now that she simply can't help but desire to know me. She feels as if she's on the verge of a great discovery, something that will put to rest all of her questions. Sometimes she can't recall anything on her visits, and sometimes just being on her planet soothes her. There is a cloak there, a comfortable silence that allows her to think and reflect upon the events happening on planet Earth. Nearly as often as she searches for the truth about a past life that existed in what seems to only be misery, she is there to get away and relax. Some would consider staying at home for a few days to relax and rejuvenate their drive for the war, but for Delphine, Planet Nemesis is her home.

Socializing - Despite being particularly unpleasant to most strangers, Delphine actively enjoys hanging out with the few friends she has. It can be anything from going shopping, to just chilling at each other's places and watching movies. While she no longer does this as much, it's a normal part of her life that she values when everything else in her life is decisively not normal. When she's not patrolling as a senshi, Delphine has been known to hang out with senshi outside of 'work', as simple civilians. It is a hobby she struggles to maintain, but is something that she refuses to let go. Sometimes she needs steady ground to stand on that simple conversation gives her.

Gemstone: Turquoise

Virtues:

Adaptive - Delphine has the inborn ability to take whatever comes her way. She naturally adjusts to a variety of negative and positive situations to achieve the best outcome. When something new is thrown in her direction, she's not taken aback, but rather knows that it is better to react than do nothing. Instinct usually tells her the best way to react, and so she finds herself on top of situations more times than not. This ability best applies to fighting, whether it be as Delphine or Sailor Nemesis. She has no actual training in fighting, but her quickness to adapt saved her a** a few times when she was new to the game, and now that she has a vast amount of experience, it aids her when something unfamiliar is thrown in her direction.

Passionate - While it may seem at times that Delphine doesn't give a flying ******** about anything or anyone other than herself, the truth is quite the opposite. Delphine cares, more than she will ever let on. If she did not care, she would not feel the passion and determination to save Destiny City, to protect the friends and family that she loves, even if her relationship with them turns fragile. Her light is this passion, is this will to do anything and everything to preserve the things she does care about. This passion can break the hard shell most people see Delphine encased it. It makes her seem and feel normal, when most of the time she knows she's anything but that.

Assertive - Delphine has one of the most dominant personalities that anyone is likely to come across, and while it may be taken as almost aggressive, this works towards her benefit. She is a girl that demands to be heard, and likely has an opinion on any subject that's been brought on the table to talk about. Being so assertive means that while people may not want to hear what she has to say, they are damned well going to hear it anyways. Her viewpoints are put on the table, her ideas, what she wants. She is a firm believer that speaking up is better than holding her peace. What would keeping your thoughts to yourself accomplish anyways?

Informative - Delphine has been aware of the war with the Negaverse for years now. She has been around since the first new senshi began to awaken in Destiny City. Because of this, she has culminated a considerable amount of knowledge about the different factions haunting the streets of her city. The information she has gathered may not be entirely correct, and infused with her personal opinion, but it is information that is hard for senshi new to the game to pick up on. More basic information, like self-defense and general battling is also an area she has experience in. She is also not unwilling to share it. Delphine considers it better to share her experiences to those who want to listen, so that they all stand a better chance at winning the war and saving everything that matters to them.

Flaws:

Judgmental - She is, quite bluntly, a mean person. Delphine is quick to judge, and quick to turn a cold shoulder to if she thinks she won't like the person that is walking up to her. Few people pass her first negative judgment (and oh, it is usually negative), so while it is not impossible to break through the 'leave me alone' barrier, it is difficult. Persistence is usually the key, but Delphine knows well enough how to get people to leave her be, so that is often times not the problem.

Balancing Act - Delphine has lost plenty of things over the years, things she could have saved if she had taken the time to try and fix them. After awakening as a Senshi, she spent most of her time trying to save the world, and left her civilian life on hold. The truth of the matter is that she simply doesn't have the skill set to keep all of her relationships in balance. She unintentionally puts herself at odds with her family and friends because she fails to realize quickly enough that she is allowing those relationships to slip off the face of the Earth. She may not like a lot of people, but she treasures those people she does like. Delphine just doesn't know how to keep them. She cannot focus on one aspect of her life without letting every other aspect slip a few degrees.

Rash - There have been precious few moments in Delphine's life where she thinks before she acts. In all likelihood, she has only thought before acting once or twice in her lifetime. Delphine can look back on a situation and think that things could have played out differently if she had done this or this, but in the moment all logical thought is out the window. She reacts within seconds instinctively. There is no time for thinking, only time for action. Unfortunately, most of the time for her, all the nasty situations she gets herself into could be avoided if she had taken just a few seconds to think and realize that she could do things differently.

Disconnected - Over time it has become apparent that Delphine thinks of herself less and less as the girl who likes to shop and hang out with her friends. A rift has been driven into her life by her awakening as Sailor Nemesis. It has gotten to the point where her social life is nearly at ruins because she has stopped thinking of herself as Delphine. She is Sailor Nemesis far more than she is Delphine. She has let one life almost completely consume the other, and thus has become disconnected with her own civilian self. Delphine is losing sight of who she is as just a normal human girl. She is a senshi now, and everything else in her life must be put on hold until her senshi duties are completed.

I don't really do any official crits, so feel free to completely disregard this until someone else comes in, but I did just want to throw in an opinion/possible warning. heart

For the most part I don't think that it's kosher for hobbies and/or virtues/flaws to be completely related to the powered side of the character. The personality snippet is something that should be relating to both their powered side and their civilian side, and the hobbies are in particular something that lets them relate to normal people.

While you could argue that her powered hobbies DO let her relate to people its... only a very select group of senshi/knights/whatever and an even tinier group of people who know who she is in both identities.

So while you might not have to change it, you might want to think of other possiblities incase you're asked to nix/change "Negaverse hunting", "Planet Nemesis", "Informative"

Thank you, Iris! <3 I thought about it for a while before deciding on those hobbies, and for a while debated spinning my profile more towards her senshi self because that is who she is. After years of growth her civilian life hangs on threads, and she honestly doesn't have civilian hobbies. At this point in her life she is Sailor Nemesis far more than she is Delphine Amary. One side of her life has completely dominated the other, and so I'm hoping the profile reflects that. I'd never disregard anything you have to say, love. I thought about those points for a while myself! Thank you again for taking a look over her! c:

Just a few things, here! Apologies for the wait, revises tend to fall under the radar in the face of other work we do. :C

For Passionate: does her passion affect her behavior in ways other can observe at all? You say she hides it a lot, which makes it not quite work -- a virtue needs to be able to have a fairly consistent positive impact on others, which is hard to do if others can't see it! You definitely don't need to have her talk about her passions since that seems like it would pretty OOC, but it should at least be visible through her actions in some way.

For Balancing Act: I honestly am having a bit of trouble seeing the personality trait in this -- it looks more like a backstory than anything else. These are all very interesting thoughts, but how do they manifest in her words or her behavior? If it's the fact that she ignores her relationships with her friends and family without really paying attention to the fact that she is doing so... that already seems to be covered in her Disconnected trait. So, I think this is best replaced with something else.

You say in her Assertive trait that her words probably aren't always wanted, so maybe you can play on that and say she's Pushy, with a tendency to steamroll over or disregard other people's ideas?

Don't worry about it, Mouse, it's always well worth the wait! <3 Thanks for taking a peek at her. I totally see what you're saying, I think I was having difficulty figuring out how to work her Balancing Act trait because I wanted it explained, but couldn't find the right way to do that. Pushy is a pretty damned good word considering Nemesis, too, LOL.

Thank you thank you! I'll work on fixing her up and then reposting her.
