I need help.
I'm bisexual, as is my best friend for eight years. She crushed on me for a while, but when I found out, she told me to not bring it up again and that she was over it. However, when I started having casual conversations with a couple of my guy friends, she started getting agitated, and it's not hard to guess why.
I do not like her in a romantic sense. I told her that, but I don't think she's letting go yet, if how pissy she's been acting is any indication.
How do I approach this...

Stand your ground.
Affirm to her that your feelings are merely platonic, not romantic. Although it may seem like she's clinging onto you, just remain persistent - don't react to any advances, if any. Honestly, a best friend wouldn't become "agitated" or jealous if you're simply sparking up casual conversation; that's not how friendship works. Again, reaffirm that you're simply a friend.
I tell you this now because if matters continue, you'll receive a clinger, which is probably one of the most annoying things in any person-to-person relationship.

But you see, she's a liar by nature, and she'll say anything to maintain her pride. If I confront her about it, she'll turn it on me, remarking about how I'm still hung up on it. When I asked her once if she still had feelings for me, she scoffed in my face and called me an idiot.

Then she's not a friend.
Simple.

I'm trying to believe that it's just a rough patch. I hope she'll get over it soon, but it's been getting really irritating.

If she's doing something that you don't like, then you can tell her about it. If it has something to do with her having feelings for you, then don't outright tell her that you think that's the reason. Just approach her about her attitude, say something along the lines of "Hey, you've seemed kinda mad lately, is there something bothering you?" this let's her know that you still care about her. Any interaction with her (and wording for when you talk to her) is extremely important in a delicate situation like this, so tread carefully. Just try and ignore the fact that she might have feelings for you, if only because it seems she wants to do the same. If you think this is going to get in the way of your friendship, hen you have every reason to not want to be her friend anymore. It's really awkward when friendships and 'more than friends feelings' get mixed up. If you dont care and you want to be her friend anyway, that's up to you. I feel like I explained this really bad, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

I agree with Igtenos, tell her the truth about your feelings, if she lies to you or offends you, then she's not really your friend. A true friend will support you, not lie to you xP
