"ONWARD, THEN." A small voice bellowed out, echoing through the trees of Four Frond's forest. A fittingly small troll kicked at the dirt, waving her extendable flail in the air carelessly. A purple bow had been carefully tied around it's hilt, and it seemed like Frossa had crudely taped some cheap gem stones randomly to her weapon. It looked rather silly, and a little outlandish for even Frossa's tastes. Pointing what was essentially a mace currently at a half fallen tree, a devilish smile spread over the highblood's face before she sucked in a deep breath of air. In her mind's eye, the half collapsed hunk of rotted wood was a slumbering dragon, puffing great breaths of smoke. "SENSHI, ASSEMBLE!" She screeched, although no one seemed to be around except one tealblood. Charging the dead hunk of wood, Frossa hopped up on top of the behemoth tree's side effortlessly. She stomped down on the rotting tree to check that it could indeed hold her small body where she stood, before slamming her weapon as hard as possible into the side of the fallen giant.
The next few moments were an embarrassing blur of Frossa wildly assaulting the already dead tree. Smacking it violently with her mace-flail over and over, the homicidal look one her face only seemed to grow more dangerous. Reducing part of the tree into a cave of splinters, she turned to her companion. "Autumn Witch!" she cried, flailing her free arm in the air madly as she beckoned for the other troll. "Quickly, while the dragon is subdued! Use your magic to bring it down~" Her motions were spastic, eyes wild with flights of fantasy. Jumping away from the pile of what now resembled toothpicks, Frossa's eyes darted around the empty clearing as if she was looking for something. At the opposing end of the park, a few bird beasts shuffled around, pecking at the grass. Frossa's eyes lit up mischievously.
Glancing back at the teal blood, Frossa pointed at the birdbeasts with her girlied up weapon. "Hark!" She cried, pointing at the innocent birdbeasts. "While a magnificent dragon guards the entrance to the labyrinth, it seems like it's depths home some even darker creatures..." Frossa took a few steps closer the the birdbeasts, careful to not startle them. Resting her hands on the puffy indigo tutu she had thrown over her normal clothing, she tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Be careful, Autumn Witch!" Frossa turned to her companion, face grave. "Those spiders can turn you to stone with just one glance! How do you suppose we should go about defeating this foe?!" Frossa adjusted the clip on bows in her hair, which had been slipping out of her mess of curls. FLARPing was hard work when you looked so great, she mused. Frossa stood hands on hips, ridiculously bejeweled weapon, tutu, hairbows and all. For she was a senshi, a magical girl! As was her partner in crime. She turned to the lowerblood expectantly, waiting for her clouder's response.

Hazzan stumbled out of the bushes, her tutu trailing sticks and leaves. Clutched triumphantly in her hand was a fluffy, teal feather quill, dripping with the lime blood of some unfortunate squirrelbeast earlier up the path. She was chubbier than her friend by a fair deal, although their heights more or less matched - This didn't seem to slow the tealblood any, though, as she hopped triumphantly onto the slain rotting tree. And promptly put her foot through it.
Tumbling backwards as she tried to free her shoe, Hazzan exclaimed, "Careful, Princess! The floor's unstable here! It's a booby-trap!" Hazzan jumped down from the log, giving it a sour look of good riddance for all the trouble it had caused her. "We should keep alert moving forward! Surely there are worse traps than that up ahead..."
Following her friend's lead, she approached the birdbeasts that their game had interpreted as spiders. They looked fearsome indeed, with inch-long fangs that were already spotted with the blood of other adventurers! Many had tried before, but none had made it to the prince! Untying a sash from her waist, Hazzan began to fashion a crude blindfold. "Freeze us with a look, you say, princess?" she asked, slipping it over her head.
"Then we'll just have to smash them blind!" exclaimed Hazzan, covering her eyes and charging towards the bird-beasts, quill outstretched. She caught one mid-takeoff, the tip of her weapon slicing a neat line across its feather chest and splattering her with its rusty-hued blood. "Quick, quick!" called Hazzan, beckoning Frossa into the fray. "Don't let them get away! They'll take little pieces of your soul with them if they do!"
Stomping back and forth through the clearing, Hazzan thrust her quill blindly wherever she heard the sound of rustling wings. Finally, when it stopped, she raised her blindfold and looked at the ground around them. It was littered with a few twitching birdbeasts. Hazzan grinned at Frossa. "Great work, Princess Periwinkle!" she exclaimed. "We should probably keep going, though, in case there's a watchman lurking in the maze!" She signalled for Frossa to follow her down the park's paved pathway.

Frossa let out an amused giggle as Hazzan blind folded herself. She was certainly the best clouder ever; the destruction of things was never ending. The teal blood got so sucked into their little worlds, sometimes it was hard not to get completely sucked in, too... Their FLARPs usually consisted of many things dying and being broken, and Frossa was very pleased with this. She nodded gravely at her partner; no soul snatching spider would best Princess Periwinkle! Working quickly, Frossa undid the purple ribbon around her flail. Wrapping it around her eyes, she followed Hazzan's lead and charged hazardously into the flock of birdbeasts. "CUTIE SUGAR MOONLIGHT BEAMU~" she cried, snapping her flail out into it's full glory as she whipped it into the sky, attempting to slay all of those dastardly spiders. Take her soul they shall not! A few limp birdbeats thumped to the ground, stray drops of their rusty blood raining from the sky. Following her friend's lead, Frossa stomped around the clearing, smacking anything that moved, (luckily, aside from Hazzan), with the ball of her flail. She remained blindfolded, spinning in wild circles as she flailed in an attempt to kill anymore demonic spiders. Stopping as Hazzan spoke up once more, she pulled off her blindfold, staggering slightly. "A watchman, you say?!" Frossa exclaimed, attempting to step towards the tealblood. She quivered with dizziness, but pressed on.
"Then forward we shall continue!" Frossa aggressively grabbed Hazzan's upper arm, half dragging her down the forest path. Or rather, through a complex and mind boggling labyrinth that many souls had dared to enter but never returned from! Freeing Hazzan's arm, Frossa slipped behind a tree and beckoned for the tealbood to come closer. "I think there's something over there," she whispered loudly, pointing to an old tree stump. "What do you suppose, Autumn Witch?" She peered around their vantage point once more, before darting back into safety.

"The worst kind of watchman! A labyrinth watchman!" cooed Hazzan back, tying her sash hastily back around her waist. A fate worse than death befell those who came face to face with a labyrinth watchman! (Although if they really did run into some kind of Imperial Guard who chose to take issue with their killing the wildlife, Hazzan felt safe hiding behind someone as highblooded as Frossa!)
Following quickly behind Frossa, at least partly because she had no other choice, Hazzan wove her way through the labyrinth. She was happy to let Princess Periwinkle take the lead here, as Hazzan had built this scenario just for her. While she was taking some enjoyment from playing through it, it was always better to let people figure out what kinds of twists and turns she'd built into the game this time rather than just feeding them the answers.
From their safe spot behind the tree, Hazzan glanced carefully towards the stump. "It's definitely something, Princess Periwinkle," agreed Autumn Witch, also pressing her back to the tree trunk. "It looks like a treasure chest, though! I'm going to go investigate!"
Rising to her feet, Hazzan held her quill at the ready and advanced towards the tree stump. Already, she was imagining what fantastic treasures might lie within it! But as she neared the treasure chest, it reared up and attacked!
Hazzan threw herself backwards with so much force that she did a somersault and gave the whole of Alternia a good look at her underwear. "It's a trap!" she called frantically, scrambling to her feet. "Princess! It's a decoy monster! Help me destroy it!"

"Godspeed, Autumn Witch." Frossa's face dropped solemnly as her comrade braved the unknown, heading towards the mysterious treasure chest. Frossa watched from behind her hiding spot, eyes wide with anticipation. What would be inside? Gold? Weapons? The boss room key, perhaps?!
Frossa let out an over exaggerated gasp as Hazzan tumbled backwards. "I'll save you!" She bellowed, leaping out from her hiding spot. Rushing to Hazzan's side, the small wiry troll pounced the stump. "Die, vile demon!" She cried, slamming her flail full force into the hunk of wood repeatedly. Gripping the weapon with both hands, she wailed out another series of berserk attacks before turning to Hazzan for approval. Giving the stump a couple more good kicks with her heel, she spoke up. "Such trickery can not be tolerated!" She declared with a nod, wedging her weapon into the now split stump.
Hopping off the stump lightly, Frossa glanced around. They seemed to be getting awfully close to central Four Fronds, but it seemed pointless to bring it up. Hazzan didn't care. When she FLARPed, her mind was elsewhere. Frossa supposed if she hadn't been a purpleblood that would make their over the top FLARPs a little less tolerable, but not many people seemed to bother with them unless they outright assaulted someone. Which had happened. One time, they even burnt down a building. Unintentionally! But it happened nonetheless. That specific session was Frossa's personal favourite.
Frossa held a hand up over her eyes, squinting as if she were surveying their surroundings. "I'm afraid I've lost track of our position, Autumn Witch." Frossa's face dropped as she turned to the tealblood. "Which direction do we head in now?"

Watching Frossa unleash an unholy, brand new level of hell on the tree stump was by far the most entertaining thing Hazzan had done all evening. By the time their combined fury had been exacted on the fearsome decoy beast, naught but splinters remained. Which was exactly as it should be! Panting and still trying to fix her skirt, Hazzan turned to her friend.
"Our bearing? Let me think..." To be quite honest, she wasn't sure where in the park they were at this point, so she licked her finger and held it up, trying to get a sense of the wind. (The night air was perfectly still, and quite balmy, temperature-wise.) Hazzan gestured in a direction she thought might have been vaguely towards central Four Fronds. "We're going that way, Princess Periwinkle," she informed Frossa.
Taking the next bit of walking to get her bearings, Hazzan confirmed to herself that they were, indeed, nearing the edge of the park. "There's an imp town at the end of the labyrinth surrounding the castle," Hazzan explained lowly. The trees were thinning, giving way to central Four Fronds - or, to the pair of girls, the imp town.
"We gotta be stealth here," Hazzan warned Frossa seriously, because she sort of doubted Frossa had a stealth setting. "I mean it, you can't make eye contact with anyone or else you have to fight them. We've just gotta get to the other side of the market and then we'll be at the castle gates!"
Of course it wasn't going to be that simple! Hazzan suppressed a grin. This was going to be awesome.

Frossa followed Hazzan's lead, uncharacteristically obedient. But if you wanted to have fun with a FLARP, you had to follow your clouder's direction! Following the tealblood with a slight hop in her step, Frossa realized that they were indeed heading right for Four Frounds. Her face split into a mischievous smile. The session they went into public places were the most destructive fun!
"An imp town?!" Frossa exclaimed, holding her hands up to her face in horror. She listened intently to her friend, expression grave. She nodded in understanding. "Right. Stealth!" No eye contact? Easy! Frossa scrunched her eyes shut, walking in what she could only hope was a straight line. She wondered what her clouder had in store; simply no eye contact seemed a little too easy to be Hazzan's work.
Guiding her way through the sparce trees with outstretched arms as they broke into Four Fronds, Frossa opened a single eye to glance at Hazzan. "What lays for us at the end of the imp town?" She questioned, already eager to move onto the next part of their adventure. As her attention was on her friend and her other eye remained shut, the highblood seemed incapable of walking in a straight line. "This just seems too easy, Autumn Witch!" Frossa cut off the path of two seemingly irritated bluebloods, almost crashing into another tealblood. Turning to walk backwards in front of her friend, Frossa grinned. She seemed to be completely oblivious to the nuisance she was currently being to the townsfolk. "Oh, uhh..." Frossa almost looked sheepish. Almost. "By chance, is imp food any good?"

Hazzan grinned, though she kept her gaze lowered, as Frossa tumbled about. If it was just eye contact that was to be avoided, then Frossa was doing a fine job - however, crashing into imps seemed to have the same effect as looking at them funny! "I think we've been noticed, Princess Periwinkle!" cried Hazzan, grabbing hold of her friend's wrist and breaking into a run.
Suddenly, the marketplace was ten times more chaotic. And why wouldn't it be, with a pair of girls racing through it in their finest flarp tutus? Hazzan made to leap over a low fruit cart, but got her feet caught up in it and knocked it over instead, sending baskets of berries spilling across the street. "I don't know about imp food," she yelled to Frossa as she swiped at the air with her quill, "But imps are good food!"
She was sure that would find Frossa her second wind, not to mention that in their flarp world, Autumn Witch and Princess Periwinkle had been wandering the labyrinth with dwindling supplies all evening! Hopefully, though, Frossa would take out her hunger and frustration on someone who wasn't a guard... Hazzan could only hope!
She careened past an intersection, upsetting a passing hoofbeast who in turn dumped both his rider and his cart. "Come on, Princess!" the Autumn Witch shrieked, waving frantically towards her friend. She pointed towards the majestic city hall building that stood at the end of the block. "We're almost there!"

"Have we?! Curses!" Frossa hissed in disappointment as Hazzan dragged her into a jog. And she was being so careful, too! Following her clouder's lead, the small highblood raced through the marketplace. She seemed to be doing well at dodging the obstacles before her, until Hazzan knocked over a fruit cart. Frossa let out a crude chuckle, laughing at her friend's misfortune. Her enjoyment was short lived, however, as she tripped over an uneven sidewalk. Spinning midair, she landed heavily on her a**. Frossa let out a small whine as she collected herself, rubbing her now tender bottom as she rose. FLARPing was serious business! Shaking the throbbing pain off, she raced off after Hazzan.
Turning her legs as fast as possible to catch up with Hazzan, she managed to catch the part about imps being good food. Imps? Frossa's eyes darted between the various highbloods in the vicinity. Was that a crack at her cannibalism, or did Hazzan seriously want her to attack someone? Well, some imp, but still."Well," Frossa hummed aloud. "We're running out of supplies..." Frossa scanned their surroundings; not many trolls out today looked like easy pickings. She wasn't too sure how to eat one without freaking the tealbood out, either... As the two neared the city hall building, Frossa pulled the tealblood off to the side.
"We need provisions, stat." Her face was grave. "I'm starving and we should take this chance to stock up on supplies!" Frossa paused, trying to judge Hazzan's reaction. Maybe it wasn't part of THE PLAN."Right...?"

Hazzan blanched. Well, it had been funny to joke about killing someone, but now that Frossa was genuinely thinking of killing someone and eating them it was getting decidedly un-funny. If there was one thing likely to actually get them in trouble, it was the public murder of a highblood. The big game hunts out in the woods (that Hazzan could hear from her hive sometimes) at least targeted criminals.
"Uhhhh," she said, not wanting to give away that the session was about to end but also not wanting Frossa to clobber anyone too badly. "There's gonna be something even better just as soon as we get inside the castle!" exclaimed Hazzan, jabbing her finger at city hall. Not that she could specify - spoilers!
Pounding her feet harder against the pavement, Hazzan swiped her quill through the air at a mass of imaginary cobwebs. The space between the girls and city hall was rapidly closing, and Hazzan's heart was beating with both exertion and excitement. It was thrilling to watch another plot wind towards completion!
"Just a little bit further!" the tealblood cried to her friend, starting up the first flight of steps to city hall. "We've just gotta climb this cliff and we'll be out of the labyrinth!" Assuming Frossa could hold it together for just a little bit longer, Hazzan had this plot in the bag!

"Even better..." Frossa echoed the tealblood, mind snapping back from gruesome images that would have most likely terrified Hazzan, but made Frossa's stomach rumble with hunger. Her dark eyes followed the path of Hazzan's index finger- city hall? Really? Glancing back at the other girl, Frossa rose a brow. She certainly was ballsy today, wasn't she? Frossa knew that her lower blooded friend got carried away every now and then with her games; hell, that why she FLARPed with her in the first place- but city hall? They'd surely get into trouble if they just barged in and continued with their game. Frossa's high blood colour could only do so much... Perhaps she was jumping to conclusions that they'd do something that could get them in trouble in the first place, but this was Hazzan after all.
Caught off guard as the tealblood bolted once more, Frossa followed closely in pursuit. Frossa felt her heart pump faster and face flush with excitement as they raced up the flights of stairs to city hall, irritating a few passing trolls in the process as they bumped hazardously around the staircase. Cliffs were tricky to climb, after all!
Slowing down as Frossa saw city hall peek out from the top of the steps above them, she returned her attention back to her chubby friend. Reaching out, she grabbed Hazzan's upper arm, tugging the girl back firmly. Almost uncharacteristically cautious, Frossa decided charging in wasn't in their best interest. "Now what, Witchy?" Frossa gave her friend's arm a squeeze, still eager for their adventure despite her uneasiness.

Unfortunately, Frossa was about to be disappointed. Panting heavily as she climbed the last steps, Hazzan gestured for her friend to wait a second as she caught her breath. This monologue had been carefully rehearsed, and it wouldn't do to wheeze her way through it! Getting her breathing under control, Hazzan giggled to Frossa. "We made it!" she laughed, grabbing hold of her friend's arm and steering her to gaze up at the high, complicated facade of city hall.
Clearing her throat, Hazzan announced, "We stare up at the magnificent castle. We have reached the heart of the labyrinth, passed mostly unscathed through the spiders and monsters and puzzles and the unsavory goblin market. The prince is only a short ways away, but it will be the most difficult part of the journey. For the castle is dark, and full of monsters and booby traps!"
She gestured upwards, indicating text that the gaming flapstractions out to spell out. "And as we gaze upward at that monstrous edifice, we elect to make camp, for daylight is coming and we are tired from our journey through the labyrinth. We will tackle the castle and rescue the prince come nightfall, but for now... this adventure is TO BE CONTINUED."
The TO BE CONTINUED was what the flapstractions had spelled out in front of the door. Hazzan let them hang there for a moment, proud of her work programming this adventure, then swatted them out of the way and beamed at her friend, the haze of the adventure wearing off. She could see the town of Four Fronds as it truly was, laid out behind them. "Come on," she suggested. "Let's go get lunch in town."
She doubted Frossa would disagree, even if this segment of their adventure had ended abruptly.

Frossa stood awkwardly as her friend heaved and puffed beside her. Raising a brow, she nonchalantly jabbed at her friend's pudgy thigh with a finger. "Maybe you should climb more cliffs..." She muttered to herself, eyelids drooping smugly. Allowing herself to be grabbed, (skinship is fine too), she listened to Hazzan spin her web of fantasies silently. Although she preferred the whole stomping around and messing s**t up part of their FLARPs more than anything else, she always found Hazzan's clouding to be most mesmerizing. Her eyelids fluttered back to meet her friend's face, face bright with excitement as she spoke- until the tealblood cried 'TO BE CONTINUED'. Frossa's face crumpled, and she looked back and forth between Hazzan's cheerful face and the flapstractions hanging in front of city hall's door. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!
Frossa stood still for a moment, squinting defiantly at Hazzan. She had the urge to grab her by her shoulders and give her a good shake. You couldn't just go and cut off her fun like that... Frossa's lips twisted into a pout as she continued to give her clouder cut eye.The mention of lunch, however, seemed to soothe all violent thoughts from the young highblood's mind as her sour expression lit up.
"What a sublime idea!" Frossa chirped, clapping her hands together excitedly. Her stomach rumbled in agreement, and the troll's curls bounced as she hopped down the steps. Frustration completely forgotten with the promise of food, Frossa craned her neck to look back at her friend. "What do you want?" Thoughts of grubloaf danced in her head, but she thought it best to ask Hazzan instead. It wasn't like she was exactly picky or anything like that. Frossa stretched her arms up into the air, folding them back behind her head casually as she waited from a response from her companion.

She'd predicted that Frossa might be disappointed that she'd chosen to end the chapter where she had, but Hazzan remained satisfied with her decision. The doors of the palace were a natural breaking point in the story - if they'd kept going, Hazzan wasn't sure where they'd have wound up. You couldn't stop the palace in the middle!
Also, she had someone in particular in mind to join their flarp as the prince, and he hadn't been available to play today. So there. Hazzan had no regrets, and it was time to get some food into Frossa before she took a bite out of someone less than expendable.
"Whatever you want," Hazzan shrugged at her friend. It didn't matter where they went for lunch - she wouldn't eat. Maybe she'd get a plate of something just to avoid looking awkward, but she wouldn't eat it. "Maybe that place by the lake? You could get grubloaf..."
One was not friends with Frossa Fyrste for as long as she had been without realizing what her favorite foods were. Hazzan tucked her Jacobean Quill behind her ear at a jaunty angle and started back down the steps. "So? Let's go get lunch!" she called.
