Rock field:

Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility.

This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks
This field reduces FIRE type attacks by 25 HP

Great stars!

Mya stopped in the entryway and stared at the stadium surroundings with wide eyes, eyes growing wider as the field began to shift and change to prepare for the battle ahead.

She had knew, heard stories from her old friend about this place a dozen times over, about this place. But to actually be HERE, HER! A simple pokemon watcher for her first battle! ......Okay, now Mya was getting a bit nervous about the whole thing. Tempted really, to toss in the towel and quickly flee out into the forest again, as she smoothed down her rumpled jacket with shakey hands.

But as soon as Jen found out, Mya knew for a fact that girl would hunt her down and have her hide.

Le sigh.....

"Nine...."
A wet nose gently pressed against her palm as a delicate muzzle gently rubbed against her wrist in a comforting motion. Green met a rosey-pink, the latter bright with understanding and anticipation.

They would do well with this battle. Win or loose.

Mya smiled and gave his pricked ears a gentle pull. "Thank Keahi."

"Nine!" Now he shoved her towards the platform before bounding towards the field at a dainty trot. Sneezing lightly at the sand in the air, the watcher watched for her opponent to take their place across the field.

Leclia walked into the stadium and felt the small gust of dust and dirt shower her as she opened the door of the stadium. Groaning, Leclia lifted her arm to attempt to block the dirt from getting into her eyes and mouth.

When the dust stopped showering, Leclia squinted into the stadium and noticed the other trainer waiting for her with a pretty Arcanine.

Kashti was resting around Lecila's neck and observing his opponent. When Lecila stepped onto the platform, Kashti lept off onto the field and sized up the large dog. He may be small and weaker than the other pokemon but he was no slouch!

"We can do this, Kashti!" Lecila encouraged the Dratini a little before pressing the roll button to see who goes first.

Lecila smiled before looking over at her opponent. "It looks like I go first." Sweeping her black long pigtails behind her she shouted her first attack for Kashti. "Let's stop that dog before it has a change to do anything! Ice Beam!"

Kashti knew the drill and charged up a powerful ice attack and released it at the Arcanine.

That little dragon didn't waste anytime, did it?

Scuttling quickly out of the line of fire via diving behind a pillar, Keahi managed to avoid becoming a furry, frozen pokemon!sicle. Only when he deemed it semi-safe did he peek back out again.

Let's see....
Maybe they could try....

"Keahi! Use Toxic!"

Purple goo formed in his jaws, looking quite unappealing in taste and texture, before the fire-type spat the mouthful at his opponent.

Kashti only had enough time to widen his eyes before the purple goo smacked him in his face. The toxicity of it was already starting to take effect and draining Kashti's energy.

Lecila shouted. "Try to shake it off!"

Kashti shook his head and rub his face on the ground but it was no use. It was sticking on, bits and pieces of it, draining his energy.

"That's fine, Kashti. We will take care of that dog. "Use Ice Beam again!"

Making a last attempt to wipe the goo off his body with his tail but no good. Momentarily ignoring the goo, Kashti unleashed another Ice Beam from his gem on his head and hope this time, the Arcanine will be frozen solid.

Keahi pranced happily at a move well done before glancing at his trainer for the praise he w-

"KEAHI! WATCH OUT!"

Huh?
A glance over his shoulder at his opponent-
Seconds too late, the loud yelp rang out through the stadium as the pink-hued Ninetales changed into a living ice sculpture for all the see and giggle at. The odd stance of one about to flee and the expression of shock only added to the mild laughter.

Mya only groaned and rubbed the bridge of her nose with thumb and index finger.
Now it was a waiting game, even as Keahi tried to wiggle himself free from his icy tomb

The moment the Arcanine was frozen, Kashti had barely any time to celebrate as the goo all over his body jerked more energy from him, causing him to wince and cringe. He curled himself into a half ball with the pain.

"Hang in there, Kashti! We got him where we want him! Try to shake it off! Lecila encouraged her Dratini.

Kashti uncurled himself and stared down at the ice block of Keahi with a satisfied look on his face.

"Let's return the favor and use Water Pulse!" Lecila pointed at the frozen Arcanine.

Kashti trilled a cry before splash of water droplets formed in mid-air at the gem of Kashti's head. It had built itself into a large ring before pulsating over towards the frozen Keahi.
