I believe it may have been mentioned in another thread already, but after watching a playthrough of the ME3 beta campaign, courtesy of iGetsLucky on youtube, I had a chance to listen to Mordin, and I'm dead certain they changed the voice actor (Michael Beattie), which is a horrible way to go!
If anyone's willing to watch the vid, note that during combat, they're using a synthetic, robotic voice for filler until they've attained full dialogue, but in the cutscenes, it is obvious that Mordin has lost some of his quirky charm in the change. Again, it is only in the beta stage, and Bioware may have gotten wise and fixed the problem by rehiring Mr. Beattie, but we'll see in March.
Again, this video contains spoilers for the upcoming Mass Effect 3. Viewer discretion is advised.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGjkSPSFlXE&feature=related

I think you're over reacting a bit. A different voice acting doesn't necessarily mean that Mordin is 'ruined' and he really wasn't in it long enough to really demonstrate whether or not he retained his Mordin charm, and the situation really didn't lend itself to him putting it in either. And it could be TIM said and they're just using the person as a stand in. There's probably going to be another footage release and Mordin will sound normal then

Calm down everyone, no need to fret. It's just Mark Meer filling in the role for the (wasn't supposed to be public) beta. Michael Beattie will resume his role as Mordin come Mass Effect 3s release. He did do his role for the public demo, so all is well, fine, and dandy in he world.

Phew! Thanks for setting me straight there, guys. I guess I did overreact just a tad. Still, I think it would be terrible if Mordin's voice changed, or any character's for that matter.

There were some things being thrown around in the Mass Effect LiveJournal community that included: An e-mail from Beattie The Tweet that said VA recording was officially complete(Don't have the link) Something about him asking fans to boycott the game and raising noise to get him back - not knowing how joking/serious he was Basically, it was saying that Beattie hadn't yet been contracted or set up anything to do Mordin and now they're done recording. Just putting out info I saw.

Billonare Bruce Wayne Wait wait wait theres a scenario where the ''HOLD THE LINE'' Guy lives? Captain Kirahee (sp?)? If you do the "side" missions of helping the other team get through easier, then Kirahee survives. He survived the first time I played through, and in my Renegade playthrough, I skipped just one of the spots that helps them out, and he ended up dying.

That's funny. Each time I've played through, Kirahee always survived, despite my alignment. Granted, I'd always leave whichever teammate I didn't want to survive with the bomb, and then saved the other along with the STG team. Always figured it should be that way anyways, with the one sacrificing themselves for the greater good, or one for the many.

I almost had a minor heart attack right there. Until I read the part about Mark Meer filling in. Phew. *w* Angry fangirl rant narrowly avoided.
On a side note, Kirahee has never died on my game, either...

I'm not sure in my playthrough that the line held,I have not revisted the original ME in awhile, but it's good to feel the weight of past choices, like the green asari on Illium, and the counsul being alive. Also, Mordin is great, I wish I brought him along with me on missions a bit more.
Reapers exist Turian council member >:I
